The Haunting
Y/N: You want me to do.....what?
Kayn: I want you to come with me and help me move some stuff out of my grandpa's haunted house.
You looked at Ezreal and Rakan before your turned back to Kayn. You were at your apartment sitting on your couch currently. Just a few moments prior you were asleep before Kayn walked in and woke you up with a business proposition.
Your mom had already left for work but Ezreal, Kayn, Jinx, and Rakan had a key to your apartment. Your mom's idea.
You rubbed your eye as you yawned and your friends looked at Kayn slightly bored.
Y/N: Ghosts aren't real, Kayn.
Kayn: They are, though. I once saw a door slam close in that house. And another time there were footsteps on the stairs, with no one there.
Rakan: Sounds like a pest problem.
Ezreal: Rats slam doors close?
Rakan: I was talking about Kayn, but yeah. Sure.
You crossed your arms and leaned back. You were shirtless but you did still have your pants on from the night before. The date was still fresh in your mind.
And you'll have a second one in a week.
Kayn: You guys want to help me and make some money or not?
You gave it some thought. Maybe it would be good to start saving up for the next date? Or just having money to spend in general sounds good.
You could out up with a fake ghost for a few hours.
Rakan: Sure. But we get to stay the night.
Ezreal: Totally. Your grandpa has the best view of the ocean and those outdoor hammocks are fucking great.
Kayn: Yeah. Fine. He's out of town anyway and I have to house-sit. He won't mind you guys staying.
Well, that settled it. Looks like you were going to help move haunted furniture.

Evelynn was sitting at the kitchen island with her yogurt and her phone. She was still feeling a bit giddy from the night before. You were just so kind and you treated her so well. Plus, you never once made her feel uncomfortable or like you were trying to get something out of her.
And she had to admit that you were very charming in the way you spoke. The way you listened.
She realized she was spacing out and quickly gathered herself. Just in time, too.
Caitlyn: Oh, good morning, Missy.
Evelynn felt her mother kiss her head before she walked to the fridge. She was dressed in her robe which told her that she had just woken up.
Evelynn: Good morning. When did you get in?
Caitlyn: After you did, apparently. Your father told me that you had a date.
She pulled out a pitcher of orange juice and poured herself a glass. Evekynn just smiled as she thought about the date all over again.
Evelynn: Yeah.
Caitlyn: Well? How was it?
Evelynn: Amazing.
Her mother smiled at her. Normally it would be, "fun" or "okay" or "fine". She's never heard "Amazing" before.
Caitlyn: Was it, now? And who is this boy that obviously has my daughter charmed?
Evelynn: His name is Y/N. Y/N L/N.
Caitlyn thought about it for a moment.
Caitlyn: L/N? L/N, L/N, L/N.....Ah! I believe I work with his mother. A nurse.
Evelynn nodded. You had spoke a bit about your mom over dinner. You happened to mention that she was indeed a nurse.
Caitlyn: She's a very kind woman. Hard worker. I didn't know she had kids, though.
Evelynn: Just Y/N.
Caitlyn: Well that makes me feel a bit better. At least I know he came from a good home.
Evelynn knew exactly why she felt that way. Her mother was born in a poor household so she got to see just how horrible people could be under the wrong circumstances. Money or not, it all started at home. That's what she always said, at least.
Caitlyn: You should give him a call later. Perhaps he could stop by for dinner sometime.
Evelynn: No!
Caitlyn flinched at her daughter's sudden answer.
There was no way in hell that she would bring you around right now. Especially with the situation between you and her brother. And she didn't want to scare you off. She noticed how uncomfortable you were at the beginning and she knew why.
Eveylnn: I-I mean....maybe...not...yet. We only had one date.
Caitlyn just looked at her before she took a sip of her juice.
Caitlyn: Course. Uh, let's just put a pin in that idea.
--------------
You looked at the massive house in front of you. It was a two story home that sat alone at the edge of the street. It had direct access to the beach and was well kept for the most part.
Kayn was the only one in your group that would be considered a Richie. Someone with money. Lux slightly qualified, but she was still technically middle class.
Kayn unlocked the front door, but he didn't open it. He instead turned around to look at you and the others.
Kayn: Now, gentlemen, remember this very important rule. When it comes to facing a ghost, you must never show fear. That's how they feed.
Y/N: Jesus christ.
Kayn: So, you have to make your presence known and let them know that you're not scared of them.
He then turned back around, and kicked in the door.
Kayn: HEY, GHOST! FUCK YOU!
He grabbed a nearby vase and threw it to the ground. It shattered as you all watched with wide eyes.
Kayn: I'M HAUNTING THIS BITCH NOW!
He marched in while you stood there. You turned to Ezreal and Rakan who were just as shocked as you were.
Ezreal: The hell is wrong with him?
Rakan: I....let's just move the shit.
You all nodded and headed inside. The inside was as nice as the outside. You had been here before many times. Kayn's grandpa actually liked having you all around.
Well, the girls more than you but you all learned to just pretend like that wasn't the case.
But if they ever went missing, this would be the first place you'd look.
Kayn: We just need to move the furniture from the guest bed room to the new add on.
Ezreal: The guest bed room? Why?
Kayn: Something about wanting an office. No idea why, really. Not like he could enjoy it for much longer.
He...had a point. But, regardless, you were getting paid. Why think?
You all headed upstairs, the wooden steps creaking under your feet, and towards the guest bedroom.
---------------
Ahri: Sounds like you had fun last night.
Eveylnn was with her friends at Akali's place. It was a nice day so that gathered on the back porch that overlooked the town below. Not many neighbors up there either.
They were all laying on the poolside seats with their own drinks and some fruit.
Evelynn: I did.
Kai'sa: Did you put out?
Evelynn rolled her eyes at her friend's question. The thought didn't even cross her mind. He was just focused on having fun. Of course her friends knew this.
They spied the entire time after all.
Akali: Have you talked to him since?
Evelynn shook her head. Besides a quick text that told her you had made it home, she hasn't talked to you since the night before.
Ahri: Well, maybe you should, I dunno, call him and let us listen?
The girls all looked at her.
Evelynn: Come on...
Akali: I want to see how he really talks to you. I bet he'll say something nasty. Like, the hot kind of nasty.
Evelynn: No way. He's not like that.
Kai'sa: Prove it. Call him.
Evelynn looked at her friends and quickly realized that they weren't going to give up. She sighed and pulled out her phone.
You set down the box of stuff in the new add on and let out a sigh. You pulled off your gloves and looked around the quickly crowding room.
You then heard your phone go off. You pulled it out and saw that it was Evelynn who was calling. Curious, you answered.
Y/N: Yep?
Evelynn had put you on speaker for the others to hear as they all gathered around her.
Evelynn: Hey, Y/N.
Y/N: Yo.
Ezreal: AHHHH! FUCKING HELL! YOU DROPPED IT ON MY FOOT, YOU FUCKTARD!
Kayn: Well move your foot, dumbass!
Ezreal: I CAN'T!
The girls all sat there silently as they listened to Kayn and Ezreal go back and forth with insults and threats. You covered the phone with your hand and yelled back.
Y/N: All of you stop before I go in there and show you what real pain is!
Rakan: I didn't do anything!
Y/N: You were born!
You uncovered your phone and placed it back by your ear.
Y/N: Sorry about that.
Evelynn hesitated for a moment.
Evelynn: Uh, what are you guys...doing?
Y/N: Uh, moving stuff around a haunted house.
There was a break of silence. Evelynn then laughed a bit but you stayed stoned faced.
Evelynn: That's...funny.
Y/N: Oh. I wasn't joking. Apparently this place is, like, super haunted. But ghost aren't real so...
SLAM!
You turned around and saw that the door had slammed closed on it's own. You then heard footsteps over at the stairs, which no one was near.
Evelynn: What was that?
Y/N: I hope it was a big rat. Uh, can I call you bac...
BANG!
SLAM!
SCREAM!
SLAM!
SLAM!
Suddenly, the entire began to go crazy with the lights flickering, the doors opening and closing, the wind picking up, and an errie scream like sound
Y/N: Uh, Kayn? Ez? Rak?
You tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge.
Evelynn: Y/N? You okay? What's going on? What's that noise.
You pulled on the handle again and tried to push it. It wouldn't move.
Y/N: Hey! This isn't funny! Let me out!
???: Your sins will be paid!
Y/N: LET ME OUT OF HERE, YOU FUCKS!
The girls listened as your struggled before the line went dead. They all looked at each other confused and slightly scared.
They hoped you were okay.
--------------
Y/N: By the power of Christ, I banish you!
Kayn hissed as he tried to escape from his bonds. You splashed some more holy water on him which made him cry out.
Y/N: By the power of Christ, I banish you!
Ezreal: Ket our friend go, you asshole!
Kayn: YOUR MOTHER SHALL SUCK COCKS IN HELL!
Y/N: BY THE POWER OF CHRIST, I BANISH YOU!
Kayn: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh!
Kayn slowly calmed down as the lights stopped flickering and the room returned to a calm state. Rakan looked around.
Rakan: Is it over? Did we do it?
Ezreal: Kayn?
Kayn slowly lifted his head.
Kayn: What the fuck just happened?
Y/N: Well, turns out, I was wrong. Ghost are real. Or, demons, at least.
Rakan: Thank God Y/N had that bottle of holy water and Ezreal found that Bible.
Ezreal and you untied your friend and sat him up. You patted his back.
Kayn: Is it...over?
Ezreal: Yep. The demon is gone and the house is now free from it's control.
Y/N: A job well done, gents. I say we celebrate.
Everyone nodded and headed downstairs to raid the liquor cabinet.
------------
Evelynn: So you exercised a demon from Kayn?
Y/N: Yeeeeeeeep.
Evelynn didn't know rather or not to believe you. She heard the sounds and you did send the pictures of the scratch marks on your arm from trying to restrain Kayn. But, demons?
Evelynn: Well....I'm glad you're safe?
Y/N: Thanks. Yeah. Who knew getting rid of demons was so easy?
Evelynn: Right.
She was currently in her pajamas on her bed talking to you on the phone. She hugged her pillow while you told her the story of the weird shit that had just happened.
Seriously. That was a story. There was a goat, a chandelier, a dude in a mask, and....you just had to be there.
Y/N: Sorry about having to hang up earlier, by the way. I kinda got a bit....busy.
Evelynn: It's all good. I was just checking in. Saying hey and whatnot.
Y/N: Oh. Well, hey.
Evelynn smiled.
Evelynn: Hey.
You both stayed silent for a moment, just thinking.
Evelynn: I really had fun last night. I can't wait for next week.
Y/N: Yeah. Me too.
Ezreal: Found the whiskey!
You pulled the phone away from your ear.
Y/N: Cool! Be there in a sec!
Evelynn: Throwing a party?
You put the phone back to your ear.
Y/N: Something like that. Just celebrating not being damned to eternal hell.
Evelynn: Oh. Cool. Well, I'll leave you too it. Talk to you later?
You smiled.
Y/N: Course. Goodnight, Evelynn.
Evelynn: Night.
You hung up and headed back to join the others. You stepped outside where a set of hammocks were set up. It was warm enough to sleep outside for the night, so you decided to do just that.
The sounds of the waves were joined by music coming from the speaker Ezreal had brought. You hopped into your hammock and took the glass that Rakan had offered you.
You then kicked back and looked out at the sunset over the ocean. You smiled as you relaxed.
Kayn: So.....was it a female demon?
Ezreal: Nope.
Kayn: Aw.
It was a good day.
