-Tatsuya's POV-
Upon passing through the door, we discovered ourselves on the 198th floor. As we approached the stairs, my ears twitched as I heard a faint swoosh in that same direction.
I held my arms out to hold the others back and moved my head to catch a knife with my teeth. I looked in the direction where the knife came from to see a villain coming at us with his arm reeled back, covered in cone-shaped blades. Izuku moved in front of me to block the attack with his gauntlet.
"You shouldn't have come here!" the villain declared with a chilling sneer, the resonance of his voice echoing through the sterile corridors.
"Tell me why you criminals are doing this!" Izuku demanded, his voice resonating with defiance and conviction.
The villain, manifesting more deadly blades on his other arm, presented a formidable threat. "You chose the wrong place to play hero, kids!" he warned, a malevolent smirk played across his face. The cold gleam of the newly formed blades reflected the peril of the encounter.
I seized the opportune distraction and used the metallic railing as a makeshift springboard. Executing a graceful backflip, I delivered a forceful kick to the villain's head with my extended leg soaring through the air. The clash unfolded like a dance of combatants; each move choreographed in the intricate ballet of conflict.
The villain, momentarily subdued by the surprise attack, struggled to regain composure. Sensing an opening, I pressed the advantage. My leg descended in a decisive ax kick, delivering a punishing blow to the back of the villain's head. The air crackled with tension as the antagonist succumbed to the force of the impact, collapsing to the ground in a state of unconscious defeat.
Releasing a relieved exhale, I cast a vigilant gaze around, assessing the well-being of our group. "Is everybody okay?" I inquired, prompting a chorus of affirmations assuring that everyone emerged unharmed. "Alright, let's keep going!"
Ascending the stairs in pursuit of the top floor, we forged ahead with determination etched on our faces. However, midway up the final flight, I halted the group again, a flicker of concern crossing my features. A pair of unfamiliar scents wafted through the air, signaling an impending threat. Peeking cautiously around the corner, I beheld two grunts stationed at the door, each armed with menacing assault rifles.
"There are two masked villains, each with guns," I relayed to the others in a low whisper, shifting my gaze toward Izuku. "Izuku, you have more speed than I do, so can you take care of them?"
Izuku nodded, powering up Full Cowling as a wave of determination swept across his features. Darting forward with lightning speed, he seized the villains' attention, triggering a flurry of gunshots reverberating through the air. I instinctively covered my ears to dampen the noise, witnessing the confrontation unfold. The cacophony of gunfire abruptly ceased as Izuku dispatched the first villain with a powerful punch. Another volley of shots echoed but was swiftly replaced by silence as the second assailant crumpled to the ground beside us.
As the dust settled, I poised my foot for a decisive strike but hesitated, recognizing that further aggression was unnecessary. Gently, I nudged the firearm away from the fallen villain's body. Sensing the coast was clear, Melissa, Hailey, and I ascended the stairs in unison, leaving Izuku to give us a reassuring thumbs-up. Though the first villain remained wedged by the door, we pressed forward undeterred.

-3rd Person POV-
"Melissa, where's the control room located?" Izuku asked as the quartet reached the top floor.
"In front of the central elevator," Melissa responded promptly, her tone tinged with determination.
Upon arriving at the elevator, they proceeded cautiously, their senses alert to any signs of danger. With calculated precision, they peered around a corner, their eyes locking onto a vault-like chamber.
Izuku's voice broke the silence as he observed the scene within. "Someone's there," he murmured, his gaze fixed on the figures stationed at the control panel.
"Papa!" Melissa said, her eyes widening in recognition as she identified the person on the right as her father.
"And Sam, too," Tatsuya added, noting the presence of David's assistant on the left.
"Why are they up on the top floor, though?" Melissa asked, her face etched with curiosity and concern.
"The villains likely brought them here, necessitating their involvement in a certain task," Hailey proposed, her tone measured and analytical.
"We have to help them!" Melissa declared, determination sparking in her eyes.
"Right," Izuku affirmed, and they began to move stealthily toward the door.
"Wait a minute." Tatsuya extended an arm to halt their progress as they overheard David and Sam engaging in conversation, prompting a momentary pause in their rescue mission.
"You did it, professor!" Sam exclaimed, displaying the contents of a specialized case to David. "Look, everything is here. It's perfect!"
David's eyes sparkled with a mix of relief and determination. "Finally, I've gotten it back..." he murmured, lowering his head slightly as he clenched both hands into fists. "All my research, and they just took my device away from me... but now it's mine."
"Just like we planned, and it looks like the villains are holding things down," Sam remarked, moving toward the stairway within the room.
"Thank you. I couldn't have done any of this without you, Sam!" David said, moving to meet his assistant.
"Papa..." Melissa whispered, her voice tinged with disbelief at the sight before her.
"David..." Hailey said, her eyes widening in astonishment.
"Melissa... Hailey..." David uttered, his eyes widening in disbelief at the unexpected appearance of his daughter and her best friend. He seemed to overlook the presence of Izuku and Tatsuya with them momentarily.
"Misses, what are you doing here?" Sam asked, his gaze shifting between the newcomers and David, his concern evident in the furrow of his brow. The surprise echoed in his voice, mirroring David's astonishment.
"What do you mean that it's like you planned it?" Melissa asked, her steps measured and deliberate as she approached her father. "Don't tell me that... you're the one behind this?"
"This was all you just to steal something?" Hailey interjected, her voice a mix of shock and disappointment.
"No, it can't be true!" Melissa exclaimed, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"Please... tell us it's not true!" Hailey pleaded, the weight of the situation pressing down on her.
Faced with his daughter and her friend's anguished expressions, David remained silent for a moment. "It's true..." he finally admitted, his voice carrying the weight of guilt and regret.
"Papa... How could you?!" Melissa's voice wavered with a mix of betrayal and hurt.
"The professor is only trying to get back what was stolen," Sam explained, his tone measured and defensive as he held the briefcase before him. "The invention inside this briefcase can amplify someone's Quirk."
"Wait, is that even possible?" Izuku asked.
"Yes, it is still being tested, of course, but unlike with drugs, this device can magnify a person's Quirk without damaging their body or brain," Sam elaborated. "Despite that, our sponsors confiscated this prototype and our research data; then they demanded that the project be abandoned. They worried that something like this would drastically affect the structure of the superhuman society. Fearing chaos, governments from different nations put pressure on your father to end it; that's why we did this..."
"I don't understand...!" Melissa's voice trembled with disbelief and anguish as the quartet's eyes widened in shock. "There's something I'm missing, right? You'd never do this...!"
"I'm so sorry..." David apologized, his eyes heavy with regret.
"This doesn't make any sense! The Papa we know and love wouldn't act like a villain no matter what! So why, then? Why?!" Melissa's words rang out incredulously, echoing the confusion and hurt in her heart.
David closed his eyes, his expression haunted by shame and conflict. "I have to for All Might... You guys probably aren't aware of this, but his Quirk is disappearing." Tatsuya and Izuku's eyes widened at the revelation, more struck by David's knowledge of the fact than the fact itself, realizing the weight of the situation.
"However, if he uses this device, he'll be his old self." David turned to face the group, his voice tinged with hope and desperation. "No, his abilities will be even stronger than they were! The number one hero... The Symbol of Peace... can get his strength and light back again... He can keep saving people just like he always has!" His words poured out with urgency, his hands trembling with the weight of his convictions.
"The professor's upset because his friend's power is fading..." Izuku's mind raced with the implications, horror etched on his face as he grappled with the enormity of the situation.
"This is happening because he doesn't know All Might passed it on to Izuku...!" Tatsuya's thoughts churned with frustration and empathy, his teeth gritted in silent resolve as he processed the unfolding tragedy.
"Please... Please just let me hand this device over to All Might!" David pleaded, his voice wrought with desperation as he took the case from Sam. "There's no time to remake it! When he's better, I don't care what kind of punishment I receive!" The weight of his plea hung in the air, his eyes reflecting a mixture of remorse and determination.
"They risked their lives! Deku and Akiba's classmates went through so much!" Melissa exclaimed, her eyes ablaze with disbelief and hurt.
"Do you have any idea how dangerous this was?! How hard we were trying to save everyone on the island?!" Hailey asked, her tone sharp with accusation and disbelief. Her gaze bore into David, her expression a mixture of fury and incredulity at the severity of the situation.
"No, what do you mean?" David's voice wavered with disbelief, his eyes widening at the unexpected revelation. "The villains are fake." He turned toward Sam, seeking confirmation. "It's all supposed to be an act!"
"Of course, it was a performance," a male voice resonated from the entrance. The group turned in unison, their eyes locking onto three figures making an ominous entrance.
A man with shoulder-length white hair stood to the right, his posture exuding calculated confidence. A cybernetic attachment adorned his right eye, gleaming faintly in the dim light, adding an element of mystery to his presence. On the left stood another figure, his form reminiscent of a humanoid wolverine. Fur covered his body, lending him an aura of primal strength and resilience. His features were sharp, his gaze piercing, hinting at a depth of experience and cunning. In the center loomed a tall, imposing figure, his presence commanding attention and respect. Dark red hair framed his face while piercing yellow eyes bore into the group with unwavering intensity. He wore an oversized, white coat adorned with gray cuffs and trimmings, starkly contrasting the darkness that enveloped the room. A metallic mask obscured his features, adding an element of menace to his visage.
"But the real act was pretending we weren't criminals," the red-haired villain asserted with a sinister undertone, his words cutting through the tension-laden air like a razor-sharp blade. His voice carried an air of authority, hinting at a cunning intellect beneath his imposing exterior.
"You're the boss!" Izuku's voice rang out, charged with determination as he summoned the power of Full Cowling, preparing to confront the looming threat that now stood before them.
However, before he could surge forward with the explosive energy of his Quirk, the red-haired villain's hand made contact with the door to the vault. A surge of malevolent electricity crackled around his fingertips, weaving an ominous dance. The metal railing instantly came to life as if responding to the villain's dark command. The electric tendrils snaked forward with deadly precision, binding Izuku to the wall in a cocoon of crackling energy, rendering him momentarily powerless in the face of the impending danger.
"Oh no, Deku!!" Melissa's anguished cry pierced through the tense air as she sprinted towards Izuku. Her eyes widened with concern, mirroring the collective worry etched on the faces of the remaining group, plus David and Sam.
"His Quirk lets him manipulate metal...!" Tatsuya's growl reverberated, an ominous undertone underscoring his realization. With a swift motion, he unsheathed his claws, determination blazing in his eyes. He surged forward, ready to confront the metallic menace.
The red-haired villain's sinister grin widened as he unleashed his Quirk again, the crackling energy of metal manipulation dancing at his fingertips like a malevolent specter. Tatsuya dove into several evasive maneuvers, deftly avoiding the first two attacks. However, fate proved less forgiving as the third assault surged forward with relentless force. A sharp yelp escaped the wolf boy's lips as the unforgiving metal claimed him, pinning his form against the transparent window that offered a panoramic view of the island below.
"Akiba!" Hailey's urgent cry cut through the air as she surged forward. A mixture of concern and determination fueled her movements, her focus solely on reaching Tatsuya's side.
"You'd be smart not to resist," the villain's warning lingered, an ominous prelude to the impending struggle. His attention shifted towards Sam, his command cutting through the air like a blade. "Sam, hand it over."
"Right!" Sam's response was swift, a testament to his unwavering loyalty or, perhaps, an underlying current of fear. With a sense of urgency, he snatched the case from David's grasp, his movements betraying a hint of trepidation. "Uh... here you go!"
"Sam..." David's eyes widened in disbelief, a mix of shock and betrayal coloring his features. "This was your plan...? You were going to hand it over all along?"
"You're the one who tricked me, Professor!" Sam's accusation reverberated through the tense air, carrying the weight of years of betrayal and disillusionment. Bitterness tinged his words, culminating in the frustrations and unfulfilled ambitions that had festered beneath the surface. Shadows danced across his face, emphasizing the tears that welled in his eyes—a testament to the emotional turmoil that fueled his rebellion.
"I've been your assistant all these years, and you let them take our work!" Sam's voice wavered between anger and sorrow, a cocktail of emotions that painted a complex portrait of a man driven to the brink.
"We could have had fame and fortune, but no!" Sam's gaze shifted, directing his accusation toward David with a mixture of desperation and pleading. The fleeting dream of recognition and success, snatched away by circumstances beyond his control, haunted his every word. The tremor in his voice betrayed the depths of his yearning, a desperate plea for validation and recompense echoing in the shadows of their shared history. "I deserve more... I need to be rewarded! Otherwise, my entire career was a complete waste of time!"
The weight of Sam's grievances bore down on David, prompting the professor to avert his gaze, his eyes momentarily escaping the intensity of the accusations. In that fleeting moment, a complex mixture of regret and contemplation flickered across David's features, a silent acknowledgment of the unintended consequences that had spiraled out of control.
"Here's the payment I promised you," the villain declared, pointing the gun at Sam and shooting him in the left shoulder, much to everyone's surprise. The gunshot echoed, shattering the fragile peace that lingered, and Sam crumpled to the floor.
"No, why...? This isn't part of the plan!" Sam exclaimed, pain etched across his face.
"Is it not? That's strange," the villain said, his tone feigning ignorance as he approached the assistant, pointing the gun at his forehead. "Because this was always a part of mine!"
The villain pulled the trigger, but in an unexpected twist, David positioned himself between the barrel of the gun and his fallen assistant. As the echoing sound reverberated through the room, Melissa and Hailey became unwilling witnesses to the tragic turn of events as they stood frozen in shock.
The air was thick with tension as Sam, writhing in pain and disbelief, mustered the strength to question his mentor's shocking sacrifice. "Professor... why?" he asked, the words laden with confusion.
In response, David, with a stern yet pained expression, issued a heartfelt command to the others. "Get out of here...!" His voice carried a sense of urgency, the weight of the situation evident in his strained tone.
"Papa!" Melissa's scream cut through the chaotic atmosphere, her shock and anguish driving her to run towards the unfolding tragedy.
"Stay back!" David ordered, a desperate plea to shield his daughter from the escalating danger.
The red-haired villain delivered a cruel blow, pistol-whipping Melissa with a sickening thud. She crumpled to the ground, her body reeling from the force of the blow. The impact reverberated through the air, leaving a palpable sense of dread in its wake.
"Melissa!" Hailey's anguished cry reverberated, the raw emotion of concern and desperation permeating the tense atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Izuku and Tatsuya strained against their restraints, muscles taut with the effort to break free. Their struggle against the bonds that held them captive painted a picture of fierce determination in the face of overwhelming odds, their resolve unyielding despite the dire circumstances.
The red-haired villain sadistically planted his foot on David's prone form, callously disregarding the bloodstain now tarnishing the once-immaculate fabric of his suit. "Trying to play the hero after all this?" he sneered, the contempt in his voice slicing through the air like a cold blade. "It's too late for that. No matter what your reasons were, you dirtied your hands now. Whether we're real villains or actors is irrelevant. You planned and committed an actual crime here. You're exactly the same as we are! You could no longer remain a respected scientist or continue your research without shame. Your life is forever tainted by the darkness as villainy."
His laughter reverberated through the room, a cruel symphony of malice that seemed to echo the demise of innocence. The villain callously ignored the shocked expression etched across David's face, the cascade of tears streaming down Melissa's cheeks, and the valiant struggles of the young heroes as they strained against their invisible shackles. Holding David aloft by his collar, the villain continued his macabre performance, reveling in the power he wielded over the shattered remnants of the once-respected scientist.
"And if you want a future at all, you'll be a good scientist and mass-produce this device so I can sell it!" the villain declared with an unsettling calm, his voice dripping with spite. With a swift, merciless blow, he struck David's temple with the butt of his gun, casting the scientist into unconsciousness.
With a cold, calculating gaze, the red-haired villain redirected his attention to one of his henchmen. "Hey, take him to the roof."
"No..." All eyes turned toward Melissa, her anguished form inching desperately toward them, a haunting echo of despair in the face of imminent loss. "Please, no... give him back...!" she pleaded, her voice trembling with raw emotion.
"That reminds me," the villain taunted, a sinister smirk twisting his lips as he leveled the gun in Melissa's direction. "This'll be much easier if I get rid of the professor's attachments!"
"Don't you hurt her!" The resounding echo of Izuku and Tatsuya's united plea reverberated through the room, their shared determination cutting through the tension like a blade. As their restraints broke apart, the air crackled with newfound strength, a testament to the indomitable spirit that surged within them.
Izuku surged forward, his determination unwavering as he unleashed a powerful punch aimed at the villain. However, the antagonist swiftly conjured a solid barrier, deflecting the attack with an effortless grace that showcased his formidable abilities. The clash between hero and villain set the stage for an intense confrontation, each movement echoing the gravity of the situation that unfolded in the heart of the vault.
"Melissa! Hailey!" Tatsuya's urgent call sliced through the tension, drawing the attention of the two girls who turned towards him, their expressions a blend of determination and resolve. Amidst the chaos, Tatsuya stood poised like a warrior on the brink of battle, his joints popping in a symphony of readiness, his resolve unwavering. "We've got the professor and Sam! You two restart the security system! Go now!"
In unison, the girls acknowledged the command, their synchronized movements a testament to their shared purpose. Without hesitation, Hailey seized Melissa, her grasp firm and unwavering, as they soared out of the vault, their mission clear as daylight, their resolve unyielding in the face of adversity.
"Don't let them escape!" the red-haired villain barked, his command slicing through the air like a razor's edge.
The henchmen, obedient to their leader's directive, surged towards the exit, a collective force propelled by the desire to fulfill their evil mission. Simultaneously, the boss villain conjured additional barriers, erecting walls of obstruction with an almost casual mastery, determined to thwart the heroes-in-training in their pursuit. Yet, faced with these impediments, Izuku and Tatsuya displayed no hesitation, their unwavering resolve propelling them forward.
With an agile leap, Izuku scaled the walls like a parkour virtuoso, navigating the obstacles with a grace that defied the urgency of the situation. Meanwhile, Tatsuya unsheathed his claws with a menacing glint, their razor-sharp edges primed for action. Together, they overcame the walls, overcoming the spatial constraints imposed upon them.
As Izuku descended from his acrobatic escapade, he confronted the white-haired villain. A fleeting moment of tension hung in the air, the clash of ideals manifesting in the charged atmosphere between hero and villain. Simultaneously, Tatsuya engaged the humanoid wolverine, his feral prowess matching the adversary's strength. A skirmish unfolded a ballet of swift movements and calculated strikes, each participant driven by their convictions.
The humanoid wolverine struggled to repel the wolf boy's relentless assault. Claws unsheathed, Tatsuya lunged forward, a creature of primal fury determined to vanquish his opponent. In a swift maneuver, he evaded the adversary's defenses, the clash of metal against fur resonating in the confined space. With a nimble leap, Tatsuya disengaged, landing beside Izuku, their alliance unbroken and their focus undeterred.
"We won't let you past us!" Izuku's resolute proclamation echoed through the vault, a declaration of unwavering determination.
In a swift and coordinated move, the broccoli boy directed a glance to his right, forcefully pushing Tatsuya out of harm's way before positioning himself to intercept the oncoming barrage of metallic pillars.
"Don't make threats you can't live up to, kid!" the boss villain's retort cut through the tension like a sharpened blade, his words dripping with contempt and disdain for the young hero's defiance. Undeterred by the looming threat, he conjured more pillars of metal, each one a testament to his formidable power and unwavering resolve to crush those who dared to oppose him.
Izuku's muscles strained as he blocked the relentless barrage of metallic attacks. Each impact reverberated through his body, but his determination held steadfast, a beacon of resilience against the villain's onslaught. The young hero's green eyes glinted with unwavering focus as he gauged every move, searching for an opening to counter.
Meanwhile, the humanoid wolverine seized the opportunity, darting past the fray and making a dash toward the exit of the vault. With unwavering determination, Tatsuya sprang into action, his form a blur as he pursued the fleeing villain. His claws glinted in the dim light, a silent promise of justice as he closed the distance, ensuring the girls remained out of harm's way.
Amidst the chaotic dance of heroes and villains, a subtle sound reached Tatsuya's keen ears – the distinct click of a lock being undone. A triumphant grin crossed his face, recognizing the significance of the sound. The girls had successfully regained control of the security system. The tide of the confrontation had subtly shifted, and hope flickered in the darkened vault like a distant beacon.
"Dammit, they got control of the security system? It doesn't matter..." The wolverine clicked his tongue in annoyance before turning toward Tatsuya, his eyes narrowing with a predatory gleam. "You're Tatsuya Akiba, right? I heard about you since we found out about your class' feeble attempt to stop us. You'll be the next mutt I feast upon!"
Tatsuya met the threat calmly, slipping into a fighting stance as he sensed the wolverine's predatory aura. His retort carried a hint of warning, "Careful, weasel. This one's rather tough to swallow!" The air crackled with tension as the two adversaries prepared for the impending clash, each harboring their determination to prevail in the unfolding confrontation.
The wolverine unleashed a menacing snarl, a feral sound that echoed through the hallway as he propelled himself forward on all fours with uncanny speed. His arm was poised for a lethal slash, a predatory intent gleaming in his eyes. Yet, Tatsuya foresaw the impending strike. With a nimble leap, he ascended the wall, employing it as a springboard to elevate himself higher into the air. In a fluid motion, the wolf boy raised his leg, preparing to execute a formidable ax kick.
However, the wolverine demonstrated surprising agility, effortlessly catching Tatsuya's extended leg. A sinister grin crept across the wolverine's face as he tossed the wolf boy aside. Tatsuya, adjusting in midair, executed a controlled roll upon landing and rose to one knee, only to find the wolverine charging relentlessly in his direction.
The wolf boy swiftly dived to the side, narrowly evading another lethal strike from the relentless wolverine. As Tatsuya's form gracefully touched the ground, he seamlessly transitioned into a counterattack. With a sweeping motion, he extended his leg, aiming to disrupt the wolverine's balance. The maneuver proved successful, causing the predatory foe to stagger momentarily.
Capitalizing on the opening, Tatsuya planted his extended leg firmly on the ground, executing a fluid spin as he rose. He delivered a powerful elbow strike to the wolverine's chest, knocking the breath out of his opponent.
The wolverine emitted a menacing growl before executing a forceful backhand, connecting with Tatsuya's face and sending him sprawling to the ground. Undeterred, the wolf boy swiftly regained his footing, acutely aware of his opponent's malicious intent permeating the air. Raising his gaze, Tatsuya spotted the airborne wolverine, poised for a midair assault.
In a calculated move, Tatsuya rolled out of harm's way, causing the wolverine's predatory strike to shatter the ground upon impact. Seizing the opportunity, the wolf boy lunged at his adversary, delivering a powerful haymaker to the wolverine's face. The impact forced the wolverine's head to recoil, but the ferocious foe remained steadfast. Emitting another growl, the wolverine retaliated by driving his elbow into Tatsuya's chest, leaving him momentarily breathless.
Before Tatsuya could muster a counterattack, the wolverine unleashed a swift upward slash, the razor-sharp motion cutting through the air and leaving a trail of crimson on the wolf boy's chest. A hiss of pain escaped Tatsuya's lips as he felt the warmth of blood and the stinging sensation across his torso.
The wolverine, relentless in his assault, swiftly followed up with a powerful haymaker directed at Tatsuya's face. The impact resonated through the confined space of the hallway, and the wolf boy found himself sprawled on his back.
As Tatsuya battled to regain his footing, he cast a wary eye toward the wolverine, who was now airborne, an echoing primal roar preceding his relentless descent. In a swift moment of realization, a glint of surprise flickered in Tatsuya's eyes as he formulated his next maneuver. Reacting with instinctive speed, the wolf boy strategically shifted onto his back, leveraging the strength of his legs to propel the pouncing wolverine off him.
Tatsuya seamlessly transitioned, his agile movements propelling him back onto his feet. With a calculated maneuver, he unleashed a slashing attack, crossing his claws like deadly scissors, aiming for the vulnerable region of his adversary's stomach. The wolverine emitted a suppressed groan, momentarily subdued by the pain, as Tatsuya seized a tuft of fur on his shoulders, spun around, and propelled him across the echoing expanse of the hallway.
Eager to maintain his momentum, the wolf boy surged forward, only to skid to a halt as the distinctive scents of Melissa and Hailey reached his nose. He looked toward the source to see them turning a corner.
"Akiba!" Melissa's voice echoed with concern and urgency as she and Hailey hastened toward the wolf boy. Their eyes searched for signs of injuries, anxiously awaiting his response. "Where's—"
"Hold it!" Tatsuya pivoted, his focused gaze locking onto the recovering wolverine. He extended a commanding hand to the side, signaling the girls to come to a halt.
"Nice job rebooting the security system! Izuku and I got separated, but I'm sure he's taking care of the boss villain as we speak. Meet up with our friends downstairs; I'll deal with this guy!" Tatsuya ordered with a controlled determination as the wolverine slowly regained his footing.
"We're not going anywhere until we get Papa back!" Melissa's declaration reverberated through the air, a testament to her determination. Without hesitation, she sprinted off, her resolve evident in each swift step she took.
"Wait, Melissa," Hailey attempted to interject, concern etched on her features, but their path forward was met with a menacing growl from the wolverine. His ferocity interrupted Hailey's plea, leaving the winged girl momentarily frozen.
"No one's going anywhere!" the wolverine snarled, his aggressive stance signaling an impending clash. Tatsuya, undeterred, swiftly unsheathed his claws, meeting the charging wolverine head-on.
"Go, Hailey!" The wolf boy's command cut through the tension, urging Hailey to move, even as he braced himself for the oncoming confrontation.
As they closed in on each other, Tatsuya exhibited remarkable agility, smoothly ducking beneath the wolverine's slashing attack. Seizing the opportunity, he swiftly punched the solar plexus, eliciting an agonized groan from his opponent.
Without relenting, Tatsuya followed up with two rapid uppercuts to the wolverine's chin, exploiting the momentary vulnerability. With a graceful jump, he executed a crescent kick to the side of the wolverine's head, a prelude to a sweeping leg motion that sent him crashing into the nearby wall.
The wolverine, grappling to regain his composure, attempted to stand, only to find his head once again meeting the unyielding surface of the wall courtesy of a well-aimed palm thrust from Tatsuya.
The wolf boy seized the wolverine by his legs, initiated a swift spin, and forcefully slammed him into the ground. Dazed and disoriented, the wolverine lifted his head, only to be met with a decisive cross punch from Tatsuya, rendering him unconscious. The clash ended with a resounding victory for the wolf boy, leaving the hallway after their intense encounter.
"Feel free to lay there until the police arrive," Tatsuya calmly remarked, his voice resonating through the subdued corridor. Even though the wolverine lay unconscious, Tatsuya couldn't help but assert his authority, a reminder that justice would inevitably catch up with those who chose the path of villainy. With determined strides, he left the fallen adversary behind, sprinting in pursuit of the girls' lingering scents.
As Tatsuya ascended further, the tower started trembling, its intensity resonating through the building like an ominous symphony of destruction. The disquieting echoes hinted at a disturbance that surpassed the confined space of the hallway.
The wolf boy's senses heightened, picking up on the underlying chaos that seemed to be tearing through the very fabric of the tower itself—the urgency of the situation pressed upon him, propelling him into the heart of the unfolding turmoil.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tatsuya finally reached the very top of the tower, where All Might grappled with the boss villain. The villain orchestrated an immense mech by coercing every scrap of iron in the vicinity. Even the indomitable Number One Hero struggled against the overwhelming force.
"Why won't you just die already?!" the villain bellowed, orchestrating a barrage of metal pillars to assail All Might, seeking to overwhelm the Symbol of Peace.
"All Might!" Izuku's anguished cry reverberated as the deadly assault hurtled toward the pro hero. Yet, before calamity could strike, the imminent danger was arrested—frozen in an icy stasis, suspending the menace in midair.
The villain pivoted with disdain-filled eyes to identify who stopped his attack. Bakugo seized the opportune distraction in that fleeting moment, bellowing, "GO TO HELL!" as a relentless cascade of explosions assailed the malefactor.
Reacting swiftly, the villain erected a formidable wall, deflecting Bakugo's onslaught. Izuku and Melissa touched down on the ground, having been launched into the air by the villain's preceding assault. Ceasing his explosive barrage, Bakugo winced as the throbbing pain in his wrist signaled the toll of his Quirk's limits.
In a taunting challenge, Bakugo directed his ire at All Might. "How can you allow yourself to be defeated by such a pitiful final boss? Hurry up and take him down!"
"We'll do what we can... because we are here!" Tatsuya declared as the remaining members of Class 1-A joined the fray.
"Tatsuya! Everyone!" Izuku beamed with relief and gratitude.
Tatsuya, Iida, and Kirishima surged into the fray; their determined faces were a testament to their unwavering resolve. With precise strikes, they shattered stray metal pillars, clearing a path for the team. Meanwhile, Yaoyorozu stood sentinel, her focus unwavering as she shielded the others from harm's way. All Might, witnessing their valor and unity, felt a surge of inspiration kindle within his chest, igniting a renewed determination. Despite their weariness, the students rallied, their resolve unbroken as they faced the looming threat.
Summoning the spirit of heroism, All Might surged forward, his movements embodying the indomitable spirit of "PLUS ULTRA!" With each stride, he shattered the menacing pillars of metal that loomed ominously in the sky, his eyes ablaze with unwavering determination.
"Prepare yourself, villain!" he thundered, his arm coiled back for a decisive strike, only to find himself entangled in a cunning net of wiring.
In a display of sheer power, the villain's muscles pulsed with an ominous red glow as he reached out, aiming to crush All Might's throat. Initial disbelief turned to shock on the Number One Hero's face as the villain revealed an unexpected surge in power, implicating All For One in orchestrating the entire calamity.
Before All Might could respond, the villain exerted tremendous force, propelling the Symbol of Peace backward with a colossal metal pillar. The immense pressure pinned him between two unforgiving metal cubes, creating an oppressive spectacle that unfolded before the horrified gazes of Izuku and Tatsuya. The wolf boy's usually perky ears and tail drooped, mirroring the profound dread that gripped them.
Shock and concern resonated through the students as the encroaching metal cubes surrounded All Might, forming a cold, metallic prison. The usually invincible Symbol of Peace seemed helpless, a distressing sight that resonated deeply with the onlooking heroes-in-training.
"Farewell, Symbol of Peace!" the villain's triumphant declaration filled the air just before he drove sharpened metal pillars into the metallic structure that restrained All Might. The impending doom hung in the air, and the resounding echoes of anxiety from the students painted a grim picture.
"Uncle Might, NO!!" Melissa cried, her anguish cutting through the air like a mournful symphony.
A heavy silence settled, the air thick with the weight of uncertainty. It felt as though they had just glimpsed the end of the world's greatest hero, leaving everyone paralyzed in the face of impending tragedy. However, amid this shared shock, one figure refused to succumb to despair.
Tatsuya, Todoroki, and Bakugo exchanged surprised glances as their attention turned to Izuku, who, with unwavering determination, launched into action. In a stunning display of strength, he freed All Might from the metallic prison with a decisive punch to the construct. The resounding impact echoed through the tower, signaling a glimmer of hope amid overwhelming darkness.
A plume of dust billowed, shrouding the rooftop in a hazy veil as the scrap metal remnants descended to the rooftop. The air crackled with tension, and the aftermath of Izuku's powerful intervention left an indelible mark on the scene.
"That damned brat...!" the villain seethed, his voice laced with frustration, as scattered pieces of debris settled around him. David gained a clearer view of the unfolding spectacle before him through the settling dust.
As the swirling dust began to settle, All Might emerged from the debris, his robust frame pushing aside scattered remnants as he knelt before Izuku. "Young Midoriya, your body can't handle this. It's too reckless!"
"Yeah, but..." Izuku turned toward his mentor, a confident smile gracing his features. "It's a hero's job to save those in need, no matter what, right?" His words echoed with conviction, embodying the essence of heroism that had defined All Might's legacy.
All Might's smile returned, a warm chuckle escaping him at his successor's unwavering resolve. "You make a good point. It looks like I'm in quite a bind without you." The rooftop seemed to shimmer with the camaraderie between mentor and student as All Might extended his hand toward Izuku. "Will you lend me your aid once more, Young Midoriya?"
"Yes, sir!" Izuku grasped All Might's hand with determination, a shared understanding passing between them. With a swift motion, All Might lifted Izuku to his feet. Together, they turned to face the colossal mech, their eyes reflecting confidence. Green lightning crackled around Izuku's body, a visual testament to the power of Full Cowling.
"Let's go!" All Might and Izuku surged forward, their movements synchronized at incredible speeds. The rooftop became a stage for their dynamic partnership, where the legacy of One For All intertwined with the promise of a new hero rising.
"Izuku, you dumbass..." Tatsuya muttered under his breath, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips as he absorbed the exchange between mentor and protégé. With a decisive glance at his classmates, he retrieved the headband Hailey had entrusted to him. "Bakugo, Kirishima, Iida, target the metal structures! Todoroki, protect All Might and Izuku!"
"Who died and made you boss?!" Bakugo scoffed and propelled himself into the air, ready for action.
The villain's anger intensified as he faced the students' resistance. "There's no way you can stop me! You're insignificant pests! And you don't know when to lie down and be crushed!"
"You're the one who doesn't know he's beat!" Bakugo's voice boomed, cutting through the chaos with unwavering determination. With a thunderous explosion rivaling his ultimate move, he directed his firepower at the looming chunks of metal.
Tatsuya deftly secured the headband over his eyes, activating the device with a swift press of the button. A subtle hum accompanied the snug molding of the apparatus around his eyes, and as he blinked, a vivid projection of his surroundings unfolded before him.
"Akiba, what are you doing?" Hagakure's voice, tinged with curiosity and concern, reached him from behind the protective barrier of riot shields Yaoyorozu had hastily erected.
"No time to explain!" Tatsuya's response was swift, his focus fixed on the red arrow that glowed in the display, indicating the direction he needed to pursue. Without hesitation, he surged forward, his movements purposeful and determined.
"I hope you know what you're doing..." Hagakure's words trailed off with worry, lingering in the air as Tatsuya disappeared into the fray, his resolve driving him forward into the heart of the unfolding conflict.
"I won't let you stop them!" Todoroki's voice rang out with determination as he conjured another formidable wall of ice, protecting Izuku and All Might from a barrage of metal pillars. The frosty barrier rose swiftly, a defensive shield aimed at freezing the villain's relentless constructs in their tracks.
"This is over!" The villain's ominous declaration echoed through the crumbling tower as he harnessed the full extent of his Quirk, manipulating the remaining structure and gathering an intimidating amount of metal.
On the ground, the students found themselves forcibly separated from the quaking rooftop, a chaotic scene unfolding. Melissa, caught in the disarray, tumbled toward the ground, but Hailey swooped in just in time, her arms enveloping Melissa protectively as she carried her aloft into the safety of the skies.
Meanwhile, high above, amidst the tumultuous rooftop battleground, All Might and Izuku surged forward, their resolve unyielding against the villain's onslaught. They navigated a dangerous dance with each step, evading and dismantling the metal constructs hurled their way. The rooftop became a fierce battlefield, a symphony of clashes and destruction echoing across the skyline. For Melissa, watching from afar, the sight of their unwavering teamwork stirred a storm of emotions within her, tears glistening in her eyes as she bore witness to their unyielding resolve.
Amidst the chaos, Hailey spotted Tatsuya, a lone figure racing across the rooftop with the agility of a predator. He traversed the treacherous terrain with purposeful intent, utilizing every ounce of his strength and determination to navigate the shifting landscape. Hailey's device, fastened securely over his eyes, illuminated his path, guiding him through the chaos with unwavering precision.
As the confrontation reached its climax, the villain, fueled by desperation and fury, manipulated the remaining scrap metal into an immense steel cube of colossal proportions. Towering thousands of times larger than both All Might and Izuku combined, it loomed ominously over the rooftop, a looming manifestation of the villain's last-ditch effort to obliterate his adversaries.
Determined to overcome this final, monumental threat, All Might and Izuku were perched atop a resilient piece of debris amidst the chaos. The rooftop beneath them quivered, and the air crackled with tension as they steeled themselves for the ultimate clash. In a synchronized motion, their arms drawn back in unison, the two heroes summoned the entirety of their strength, pushing past the boundaries of their limits.
This wasn't just a clash of physical might but a testament to the indomitable spirit that fueled their heroism. In a breathtaking display, they unleashed a joint assault—combining the sheer force of their Detroit Smash attacks into a singular, overpowering surge of energy that crackled and roared against the malevolent steel cube. The rooftop bore witness to the collision of titanic forces, an explosive clash that could reshape the course of the battle.
Amid the tumultuous clash of attacks, the villain's once-imposing exterior crumbled. His shirt tore apart under the relentless strain of his Quirks, signaling the gradual exhaustion of his formidable powers. The colossal steel cube, symbolic of his last stand, started to splinter and fracture, succumbing to the opposing force.
Yet, fate proved to be a fickle companion, and as the villain sought to exceed his limitations in a desperate bid to resist, misfortune befell him. Sharp, stinging sensations lacerated his face, eliciting a pained, anguished cry that echoed across the rooftop as the power of his Quirk quickly dwindled by the second. Eyes turned toward the unexpected savior, revealing Tatsuya soaring past the beleaguered villain, the Quirk Amplification device securely clutched in his claws.
"Akiba!" Hagakure's exclamation rang out in a chorus of surprise and admiration.
"NOW'S YOUR CHANCE!!" Tatsuya's resounding bellow carried a sense of urgency, a call to seize the advantage laid bare by his daring maneuver.
Emboldened by Tatsuya's audacious move, the air crackled with renewed determination as the ensemble of heroes rallied together. Uraraka, Kirishima, Iida, and the rest of Class 1-A added their voices to the chorus of encouragement.
"DEKU!!"
"STOP HIM, ALL MIGHT!!"
"GO, MIDORIYA!!"
"DESTROY THIS GUY!!"
As the resounding cry of "PLUS ULTRA!" echoed across the battleground, Izuku and All Might surged forward, their determination blazing like wildfire. With every ounce of strength coursing through their veins, they shattered the gargantuan cube with a loud crash; their combined might obliterating the formidable construct into a cascade of dust and debris. The air crackled with palpable energy as the remnants of the scrap mech scattered, a testament to the sheer force unleashed by the dynamic duo.
Amidst the swirling chaos, Iida's voice cut through the tumult, his tone laden with awe and relief. "They did it," he breathed, his words a testament to the monumental feat witnessed before him.
"They stopped him..." Mineta followed, pumping his fist into the air. "They beat up that villain and saved our lives!"
Amidst the scattered metal remains, Izuku and Melissa reassured their peers about All Might and David's safety. The remnants of the fierce confrontation painted a vivid backdrop, telling the story of their triumph. The news echoed through the air, carrying the weight of relief and camaraderie, affirming the resilience of heroes and the bonds forged in battle.
As he deactivated the Thermopylae Band, Tatsuya surveyed the scene, the cheers of victory from his friends filling the air. A smile played on his lips, but the toll of the intense battle forced him to his knees. Gazing at the Quirk Amplification device in his hands, he pondered David's words from the vault.
However, a resolute determination overcame him, prompting him to place the device on the ground. Rising to his feet, he lifted his foot and delivered a decisive stomp, crushing the device beneath his heel.
"Good riddance," he muttered, the weight of his actions settling as the remnants of the nefarious device lay broken on the ground.
Tatsuya's ears perked up, catching the distant call of his name. Glancing toward the source, he observed his classmates immersed in their celebration, seemingly oblivious to his location. Yet, a familiar scent reached him, stirring his attention.
"Akiba! Are you okay?" Hagakure's voice called out, and she swiftly sprinted toward him.
Tatsuya offered her a weary grin and noted how she had shed her dress to leverage her invisibility against the robotic adversaries. "I'm alright," he assured her quietly.
As Hagakure reached him, she let out a light gasp, her eyes widening upon noticing blood staining Tatsuya's clothes, evidence of the injuries sustained during his fierce battle with the wolverine. "Oh no, you're hurt!" she exclaimed, concern etching her features.
"It's okay. I've been through worse," Tatsuya assured, his words carrying a weight of experience that spoke volumes.
Hagakure let out a light chuckle, shaking her head in acknowledgment of his resilience. "Of course, you did..." she murmured, her tone a blend of admiration and frustration. She stepped closer, her hands hovering uncertainly over his wounds. "But you shouldn't downplay it. Let me at least check them."
Tatsuya winced slightly as he shifted, allowing her better access to his injuries. "Really, Hagakure, it's not as bad as it looks," he said, though the pain in his voice betrayed him.
Ignoring his protests, Hagakure carefully inspected the cuts and bruises through the torn fabric of his shirt. "You need to take better care of yourself," she admonished softly. "What if you pass out again? You can't keep pushing yourself like this."
Tatsuya smiled faintly, appreciating her concern. "I know, but sometimes we don't have a choice."
Her eyes then shifted to the headband he held, curiosity piqued. "What's that headband?" she asked, her tone lightening as she tried to distract herself from worrying too much. She tilted her head slightly, the glint of intrigue in her gaze cutting through the lingering tension from their ordeal.
"This is a support item Hailey made," Tatsuya explained, glancing at the device before offering it to her. His eyes softened with a mix of pride and admiration for his friend's ingenuity. "Want to try it on?" He held it out, the headband gleaming faintly in the dawn light.
"Sure!" Hagakure accepted the headband eagerly, adjusting it on her forehead with a curious smile. Her fingers traced the sleek design, marveling at its craftsmanship.
"It's supposed to go over your eyes," Tatsuya clarified, his gentle touch adjusting the device to cover her eyes properly. He moved with careful precision, the button conveniently located beside her ear. "Now, press this button."
Hagakure followed his instructions, feeling the device molding itself snugly to her features. A moment of surprise washed over her as the surrounding area came into focus, revealing the beautiful sun shining brightly in the background.
"Whoa! This is so cool!" she exclaimed, marveling at the newfound vision, which was overlaid with tactical information and provided real-time analysis of the surroundings. Her usually invisible form seemed to shimmer with excitement, and her voice filled with uncontainable joy.
Tatsuya couldn't help but grin at the awe in Hagakure's voice, a mixture of exhaustion and delight etched across his features. His tail softly swayed behind him, reflecting his own relief and happiness. The sunrise painted the horizon in warm hues, casting a golden glow over the battlefield. In this moment of accomplishment, the students stood amidst the remnants of the battle, a united front against the challenges they faced.
