Chapter 1: When blood runs...
Felix drove through New York city, the window of his red car slightly down causing wind to swish through his brown hair. Despite it being a cold night, Felix's leather jacket, pants and biker gloves kept him warm. He had a holster containing his fully loaded magnum 34 around his waist and a set of iron knuckles lay on the passenger seat. His stylish, red car shined as the moon exposed its light to the world. A black van deprived of colour, drove swiftly behind Felix's car, slowly gaining to him, following his every turn. Felix peered at his side mirror every few seconds, causing a look of concern to form on his tense face. Around his waist belt there were also three powerful, electric grenades and a handy laser pen. He took a left with one hand on the wheel and the with the other gripped the grenade and threw it out the window to the space behind. It exploded causing strikes of electric to fling out zapping any thing close. It flipped the black van upwards and caused it to fall on its back. A black van flew through the air out of the grey, rising smoke. It landed making a loud bang. It wobbled and then continued to follow Felix,
"Shite" whispered Felix as he peered at the side mirror.
He saw two people, one of them leaned out the window and took shots at his red car. He took quick turns hoping to loose them but it was sadly no use. They sped up and drove to the side of Felix's car then rammed into it. Sparks flew off the metal and into the air, a screeching noise echoed from the clashing cars. He saw one of the men press a small button in the van and then peered at silver blades ejecting from the middle of its wheels. The black van moved to the side then slammed back into the red car. The blades pierced its wheels and a loud pop reached Felix's ears. The black van sped off into the distance and slowly got smaller until it was barely seeable from Felix's view. He slammed his fists on his wheel,
"Dammit!" He yelled,
He opened the door and slammed it shut then ran back to the black van. Shattered glass and blood covered the cold, wet ground. He saw a person in the van with cuts and bruises, a snapped bone piercing his skin, utter disgust and sadness clouded Felix's mind but after being on the job for several years and being used to it Felix quickly pushed his feelings aside, showing no emotion in his face. He knew the person was dead. Mainly because of the sight but also from the wretched, ghastly smell that oozed into his nostrils. On the passenger side the were bloody footprints that led into an alleyway. Felix followed them as quickly as possible and turned around the corner. A man laid on the concrete floor, blood dripping out of his stomach. Felix saw a piece of glass that stuck into his skin. Felix grabbed him by the collar and looked him in the eye,
"Who are you, where is your boss!" Shouted Felix,
"I will never tell you anything!" Replied the man
Then he closed his eyes and his head fell to the side as the life from his body was sucked out. Felix turned, and kicked over a trash can, the lid fell off and the rubbish poured out. He hated failing missions, normally because he never did. He was known for that and whenever he lost he would feel like a piece of his great reputation had died and that feeling is what he hated the most.
He called the agency and they took his broken car to fix it, then he got picked up and started to go there himself. They drove to a small neighbourhood and stopped at a wall. Then a bunch of brick moved back and to the side and they drove forwards. They entered a metal like facility with bright blue lines glowing on the sides, the sturdy floor was slanted down and eventually it become straight. They parked in a garage like place then got out and walked over to a secure door. Felix pulled a fancy identification card out of his pocket and swiped it across a pad on the wall next to the door. It made a beep and opened. The man went to the right and Felix turned to the left. He saw people rushing around and moved out of each of there way. He made his way over to a bunch of computers with his hands behind his back, where a guy was sitting.
"Hello Gus, I have returned from my mission" said Felix
"Did you succeed to interrogate and capture all the criminals?" Replied
"No, two of them escaped and the other two died before I could get any useful information out of them,"
"So you failed."
"Yes sir, but"
"No buts, if you fail once more I will take you down a rank, you hear me?"
"Yes sir, I won't let you down next time,"
"You better not, now go clean up, you have a long day ahead of you,"
"Yes sir."
Felix went home and took a shower, washing the blood off his body. Then he went onto the rooftop of his apartment building and lay down, looked up at the shining stars, glistening in the night sky.
