The rest of the caterpillars finally entered their cocoons so I was able to transport them into the net enclosure. Took me ten minutes because I was overly paranoid that I would accidentally harm the squishy bois XD. One weird thing that occurred while transporting them was that whenever I touched the cocoons they would shake like crazy. Never knew that they could feel external sensations while transforming.

       I also thought about what it would be like to be one of these caterpillars for a bit and realized that it must be terrifying. They start out being hatched in some factory or lab, are thrown into a container with other caterpillars that are COMPLETE STRANGERS to them, are stuck into a package where they don't see the light of day for an eternity, are stuck into some random place to be studied and have their every move watched, take a nice long nap in their cocoon, and then wake up completely changed AND in a completely different environment. There's also the possibility that they're the first ones awake, so they could be completely ALONE. Then after a couple of days they're flung outside into an environment unlike the one they've spent THEIR ENTIRE DAMN EXISTENCE IN BECAUSE THIS ONE HAS PREDATORS AND TODDLERS AND YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO FIND FOOD SO YOU HAVE ENOUGH ENERGY TO FIND A MATE, HAVE SEX, POSSIBLY LAY EGGS, AND DIE.

Am I overthinking this?
