Chapter 5 ||Edited||

Your POV

It has been two or three days. Fez, the man verily known more as Stanley Pines allowed me to visit the Pines Twins anytime I want. I didn't want to return to the Nightmare Realm where everything is wreaking in havoc.

I'm pretty sure it's not so good there. Recently, I went back to check on Dad after that Mystery Hunt the sapling twins and I had, and he was angry. He was bubbling in his own rage, like a male in his Man-Period.

I decided to ignore him for the best, and for a while, by settling down with the twins. Or, hang out with them in other terms. Dad does not care about me anyways. He claims he does, but he truly doesn't. He probably doesn't know how to distinguish the concept between feeling sympathetic towards someone and using them as their 'pawn'.

I'm just another puppet he can pull strings onto. To him, I'm not his daughter. He created me to destroy Gravity Falls when he grows bored of it after he finally rules all Reality and Existence. If the End came, I would probably feel lonely, or perhaps tossed away. My father used to tell me that my existence itself was futile, if it were not for my Dad. Without him, my being would be nothing. Useless, is a more precise word for it.

Okay, I'm done with reminiscing. Onto Reality, and the present time.

(After the scene where Mabel mets Gabe and decides to impress him by hosting a Puppet Show)

I fled back to the Mystery Shack. As I set my foot on the ledge below its roof, I leaned down to peek into the dusty window. Dipper and Mabel weren't there yet, I could sneak in without any notice. I passed through the room wall, similar to what a ghost does, and sighed with relief.

I wonder where they are..

Just in time, the room door busted open and Mabel Pines enters inside with a box of socks and a bunch of other art materials. "Yes, these are perfect sock puppets!" She exclaims as Dipper lets himself into the room. He notices my presence right after.

"Oh, hey (Y/n), when did you get here?" His brows formed into a frown as he looks at me, confused. I froze in my place, completely motionless.

"I-I got inside a few minutes ago. I didn't know you guys were making sock puppets now.." I rubbed my nape nervously, my grin trickling over my cheeks and quivering. I had to dismiss the following subject immediately.

Dipper sighs. "Mabel's got a new crush on this guy named Gabe, and she wants to impress him. Apparently, she thinks his love for sock puppets is the perfect advantage." The rest of the story was passed over to Mabel's explanation.

"Hey (Y/n), wanna make your own puppet? Ooh, how about a puppet that looks like you!" Mabel suggested after finishing her story. I grew anxious and quickly refused. They nodded, luckily and went back to doing their own business.

Dipper sat on the floor with his legs crossed, his position bent over towards a black, dusty laptop. His fingers danced around over the buggy keyboard before a beep of error is heard every now and then. Mabel approached Waddles at best of luck, since the pig itself was still underneath her bed. My presence has never ceased to frighten him.

Fortunately, Mabel managed to get him out.

I buried my nose into a book I recently bought. I began to engulf myself into the world of literature. I had no idea reading could be so fun. This was much better than reconstructing the knowledge held within the book.

"Whoa, (Y/n)'s reading a book! Looks like someone's turning into a bookworm!" My eyes blinked towards Mabel who sent me a playful wink as she stroked Waddles' back. I didn't quite understand what she meant.

"Bookworm?" It slipped out of my mouth unconsciously. Am I book and a worm? I have never known these kinds of things. It's just so new to me. There are a lot of things I don't understand about them.

"You know, book lover? Reader? Um, what else?" Dipper pondered.

"Nerd?" Mabel snorted before bursting out in laughter.

Was that a joke?

Dipper frowned for a moment, but smirked. "No, no.. You got that one a bit carried away." He rolled his eyes as Mabel's laughter finally died down. She resumed her previous activity of caressing Waddles' back. I could hear that little rascal's oinking sounds even from my direction.

To have a little fun and for games, I shot him a blank glare, the yellow sclera around my slits gleamed a bright yellow glow. Waddles squeaked in fear, startled by my threats and scampered back underneath Mabel's bed.

"Oh, come on! Not again!" His owner whined in frustration. "Waddles, come on! Do you even know how many days you've been in there, and how many times I have to bring you out?"

I held back the set of giggles about to erupt from my throat. I have to say.. Scaring a pig sure is fun! True, I gave up on messing with mortals, but messing with a pig is less..offensive? I suppose that's the word for it.

"What's happening to Waddles? He keeps on behaving dreadly ever since (Y/n) got here.." Dipper had his eye on me, observing me from afar and trying to find a way to confirm his suspicions. Eventually, he gave up and focused all of his attention back to his computer.

I know that thing.. That's the Author's laptop, where he keeps most of his research.. Well, not most of it, but there are some..

How did he ever manage to get his hands on that thing? He probably found it somewhere in the forest and has no idea what it does..

"Pfft, stop suspecting (Y/n). Enough of it. Waddles is probably going something identical to puberty." Mabel's voice snapped me our of my daze. The rapid calculating and predicament pushed back to the back of my mind to wander endlessly.

"Mabel, there's some Korean kid and a huge, over-sized boy..or maybe girl..waiting over at the door!" Fez's voice echoed from underneath the floor base. Mabel's eyes sparkled in a daze similar to a child in front of a ravishing Christmas Tree.

"It's Candy and Grenda!" She gasped and hurried down the stairs.

BEEP! "Ugh, I can't stand that sound anymore!" The sound of hands banging against the keyboard attracted my attention. Dipper Pines groans in frustration, as he was closer to biting the tip of the pen he clutched against.

I peeped over to take a closer look towards what he was typing. His hunches weren't a thing adjacent to the true password. There were eight letters blank over its screen. S-T-A-N-F-O-R-D was all he had yet to type. I see a lesser chance for him to type that.

I averted my gaze elsewhere, but couldn't help but wonder how he would react if I started asking him questions. I was very curious enough to experiment most of things. I crawled towards his direction and hunched myself behind him. "Hey there, Pine Tree. What'cha doin'?" I gave off an eye-closed smile.

He was startled by my sudden voice and shuffled away, hugging the laptop against his chest. He clipped it onto him for dear life, as fearful stare etched over his pale face; his pupils dilated and his lips were apart, quivering. Bill? His thoughts rang inside my head. I looked at him positively, but my eyes were becoming a shade of blank.

"Was there something I said?" My voice became dull and almost apathetic. It made him shiver in fear. He drew his lips apart to speak, but a shrilled scream beat him to it. Mabel busts the room door open, a face of panic written over her expression.

"We need to make more puppets! Better ones, ASAP! No stitches, and it has to be perfect!" She passed each of us a couple of plain socks, glue, colorful buttons and more. We looked at her in confusion. What was going on?

"Mabel, c-calm down! What do you mean by that?" Dipper stammered.

"Gabe doesn't like these ugly, cross-stitched puppets! Plus, we need to make a better show with better performance and better stage characters!" She bumped her fist against her palm, her expression straining with stress. I felt quite concerned about her.

"Wh-What? Mabel, I don't think we can do that. We only have three days left, you guys said it—" I got cut off.

"It doesn't matter! We just have to do it quick!" She panicked.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa there! Mabel, (Y/n)'s right. I don't think we have much time left." Dipper approached his sister and rested his hands over her shoulders. "Besides, you promised. You promised you were gonna help me with the password!" He gestured at the device with a desperate look.

"I know! But this is more important!"

"M-More important? What's more important than uncovering mysterious secrets of Oregon?" Dipper's eyes were tired and baggy. It made him look like an old man scolding their grandkids. "You're doing it again, Mabel.. You're doing everything to impress this guy who you barely knew less than weeks and in the end, they just dump you!"

"I don't care!

I was know alone, i looked at the sock, then sticked the goggly eyes on the puppets.

"Hey (y/n)...., whatcha doing there?" A familiar synthesized voice asked.

"Puppet making...." i answered then i realized something, i looked up to see my triangular demon dad.

I startled then moved away from him, well it was actuallt more like floating.

"Hmm...., puppet making eh?" He asked then i got a feeling he's gonna do something evil.

"Dad?, why are you here?" I asked almost freaking out but just inside.

"Well let's just say....., i've been keeping an eye on an old buddy of mine....." he answered.

"Old buddy?" I asked.

"Well see ya (y/n)! An old buddy is a new puppet!" He said then disappeared in a flash of bright yellow light.

"Old buddy is a new puppet? What does he mean by that?" I asked then i looked at the socks and art materials.

Then i thought of an idea, i can do special things that no one won't believe sometimes....

I closed my eyes as i rised my arms, then the socks and other materials started rising, a flah of yellow light appeared on my chest, then i let a few of my energy out.

Then after that, the light disappeared and there you go! Socks puppets! I combined the materials and socks actually to make the puppets.

I should've done it the old fashion way, then i felt dizzy, when i do that kind of thing, i usually lose my energy and get dizzy.

Few minutes later...

I walked downstairs, i was looking for mabel then saw dipper, he was wearing a suit, "hey dipper, have you seen~" i got cutted off because when dipper turned around.

T-the eyes! No it can't be!

"D-dad?!" I almost yelled but luckily no one heard me except him cause no one was there cause they're all in the car ready to go to the theather but without dipper they can't leave.
