I woke up, excited. Knowing that today, dad was coming home!

"Lila! Wanna help me welcome dad home?" I asked.

"Yes!" she said, with a giggle in her voice.

I painted a sign, that said, "Welcome home, dad!" I wanted to make dad feel special.
Lila got me tape, so I could tape the sign on the door. I baked a "welcome home" pie, as I like to call it. I put some streamers up, and little decorations.

I saw dad pull up in front of the house.

I held the pie in my hands as he came in, with Lila by my side.

"Welcome home, dad!" me and Lila said as he entered the house.

"Wow, girls! This is so nice." he said.

I helped him take his seat on the couch, then sliced the pie, and gave him some.
We sat down and ate some pie together.

"I'm blessed with two amazing girls," dad smiled, so did I.

I met up with Dianna.

"Hey, I wanted to talk to you," I said.

"Go ahead," she smiled.

"Well, Georgie has been pushing me away, when I'm trying to be a witness to her, can you help her? She's your best friend! She needs Jesus," I said.

"Of course I'll help her. Thanks, Rachel, for leading me to Jesus. I really appreciate all that God has done for me. I'm glad you're my friend, I've treated you so wrong, I'm so, so, sorry, I'm happy for you. And I shouldn't have been so jealous since you made the team. You're good at soccer," she smiled at me again, and I hugged her.

"Thank you!" I said.

Dianna seemed happier than usual, I guess Jesus helped her. And I'm thankful.

I said a quick prayer before going home.

"Dear Jesus,
Thanks for all You have done for me.
I love You, Lord."

I ran into Caroline on the way home.

"Hey, good news, and bad news." I said.

"Aw! Tell me the good news," she smiled.

"My dad's home, and he's doing better, thanks for your prayers! And Dianna's having a better life, also, Bridget is now a Christian!" I squealed, which was unlike me.

"That's great! Now, bad news?"

"Georgie's pushing me away and I can't get through to her, but I talked to Dianna, and she's going to try to reach out to her," I smiled, at the last part.

"You know? Jesus really is amazing! He can turn a heart to Him, He can move mountains, anything is possible with God!" she said.

I smiled, then Caroline followed me home.

"Mr. Summers, I'm glad you're doing better! Welcome home!" she smiled.

"Thank you, Caroline." he said.

I hugged my dad, "Thank you for all you do for me, dad."

"Aw, you're welcome honey," he replied.

I learned that Jesus will move mountains just for us, and if something is meant to happen, nothing can stop it from happening. I have so much, and I don't always appreciate what I have, until I don't have it anymore...
