Faith walked through the airport of Galar, smiling as her Shiny Alolan Vulpix ran ahead of her, chasing after her father, a Shiny Alolan Ninetails.

Today was finally the day she was moving to Galar. She was dying to meet the Fighting and Ghost Type Gym Leaders of Galar, Bea and Allister. They had accepted her application for a job at the Gym. Faith was so excited to start working with them.

Bea had been Faith's idol since she was a child. Plus, she reminded Faith of the sister she was separated from twelve years ago. Faith was fifteen years old now, old enough to move to Galar and meet a Gym Leader that was exactly her age.

"Maybe we can celebrate our birthdays together," Faith said to her Shiny Sylveon, who cooed and gently wrapped his ribbons around her in agreement. Faith smiled as they walked out of the airport.

Faith's birthday was on the exact same day as Bea's, which made Faith proud. She knew not many people shared a birthday with their idol. Faith knew when was lucky.

They decided to explore a bit before heading to Stow-On-Side. Faith felt a rush of excitement as she stepped foot in the vast Wild Area.

Suddenly, something flew by her. Vulpix growled, even though she was still a baby, and got into battle position. The thing dove and landed in front of Faith. It was a Hawlucha, but differently colored than a normal one. He had black wings, purple feathers from his head to his neck, red body feathers, and the plumage on his head was bright green. Faith gasped slightly. "A Shiny Hawlucha?!"

Shiny Pokémon were alternate-colored Pokémon that were EXTREMELY rare, even with the Shiny Charm. But Faith seemed to have no trouble at all finding them, especially in Kanto.

She slowly held her hand out and smiled kindly. The Hawlucha paid Vulpix no heed as he began to inspect Faith's hand. Then he cooed and rubbed against it.

Faith smiled. "Aww!"

The Hawlucha pointed at Faith's Bag, or more specifically, her Catching Pocket.

Faith was surprised. "R-Really?! Are you sure about this?"

Hawlucha nodded.

"Alrighty then," Faith said as she took out an Ultra Ball. She held it out and Hawlucha pressed the button, safely going inside. The ball shook three times before clicking.

Bea hugged Faith. "I can't believe this!"

"Me either," Faith said.

"We should celebrate."

"Agreed."
