BELA

It's been two days since that incident.I dint try to talk to him nor he tried.The engagement preparations are going in my home and here I am..thinking all negative.What happened that day? Does he really want to get married to me?

"Bela?...Bela?"Rehaan nudged me.

"Ha..sorry I was thinking something",I said while icing the cupcakes.

"What happened Bela..what are you thinking?",Rehaan asked while mixing the batter for another cake.

"I don't know..I'm confused",I said while sitting on the island.

"About what"?he asked.

I told him everything what I saw in Sehgal house and now he was also thinking just like me.

"Bela..come on,they are just friends,don't you think you are thinking too much"?he asked me.

"I'm OK with friends,but she was talking..like literally begging for him.I don't know weather he is ready for this marriage or not",I said licking a bit cream.

"He said 'yes' to this marriage because he liked you Bells.Maybe that girl is interested in him and he is not",Rehaan said.

"I don't know Rehaan..but I was hurt",I said.

We heard a ping sound,we have to give our order which was ready.I got up from the island.

"You sit,I will give and come",Rehaan said.

I continued icing the cupcakes,and these are the new recipe which I made.I hope everyone likes this one too.

I saw Rehaan coming towards me..no he was running.What's wrong with him?

"Rehaan what's wrong"?I asked.

"Bela..you know who came?"he asked.

"Who"?I asked looking at him confused.

"Your husband.Mahir Sehgal is here",Rehaan said.

"What? Mahir is here"?I asked.

"Yes..go Bela.I guess he is waiting for you,just go",Rehaan said excited.

Why is he here ?

I made myself presentable and went out.I saw him and RJ talking.I was looking at him...and he saw me.I stiffened.

He waved his hand and I waved back and he was having a constant smile.They dint order anything yet.Rehaan also dint meet him,let's introduce them.

I went back to our kitchen and called Rehaan,
"Rehaan come,meet him",I said pulling him.

"What?No.It's OK",he said.

"Just shut up and come with me",I said dragging him along with me.

I locked my hands with his and went to meet them.Mahir saw us,in fact he was looking at our hands and he frowned.

"Hi..how are you"?I asked Mahir.

"I'm fine,how are you"?he asked.

"I'm good",I said and my face was heating up.

"Hi RJ",I greeted him.

"Hi Bela,nice to meet you again",he said.

I smiled and looked at Rehaan,
"Uhm..Mahir he is Rehaan,my friend and my partner in this cafe",I introduced him.

"And Rehaan..this is Mahir..my..",I don't what I should say now.

"Her to-be-husband",Mahir completed forwarding his hand towards Rehaan.

I blushed clutching Rehaan's arm.

"Hi Mahir,nice to meet you and ya why haven't you both ordered anything"?Rehaan said.

"We are fine,thank you",RJ smiled.

"No just wait,I will get you guys something.Milkshakes?"Rehaan asked.

They both nodded.Rehaan left to get his special hand made milkshakes which are famous in my cafe.

"You dint have any media problem right"?I asked Mahir,because I know..he is always surrounded by them.

"No we dint have any problem today",Mahir said.

He was staring at me,trying to say something.

"Bela we need to talk",Mahir said and my heart stopped.

He want's to call off the wedding?

RJ looked at Mahir and left to another table.Rehaan came with their milkshakes.

"OK lovebirds,you both talk and enjoy my milkshake Mahir",Rehaan said placing the milkshake and went to RJ.

"How are everyone Mahir"?I asked.

"They are good..and how are you"?he asked.

"I'm good too..and I'm sorry",he said.

Huh?

"I'm sorry Bela.I'm sorry for what you saw that day",he said.

I need to ask him now!

"I'm sorry to ask but..are you really happy with this marriage Mahir"?I asked feeling hurt.

"Bela I...Bela listen,I want to get married to you because I lo...",he stopped in middle and closed his eyes for a second.

"Bela I told you the day we met that I want to spend my life with you.I really want this marriage to happen",he said.

I looked down..don't know what to say.That scene was still fresh in front of my eyes.

"OK let me say it Bela.I don't want to hide anything from you",he said.

I looked at him,what he wants to say?

"That K..and I..we were in a on-and-off relationship.It was not love but just lust.We had a no strings attached relationship or friends with benefits relationship.I never had romantic feelings on her.But unfortunately she developed feelings for me.I wanted to end that toxic relationship and I ended it too.But she is still back of me",he said.

I blinked looking at him.What should I say now?

On-and-off? No strings attached? Friends with benefits? And that too with K?

"I don't know what to say..I mean she is a friend of yours and you both...",I couldn't complete.

"Bela..I promise you,I would never do two timing,I would never cheat you.K is interested in me,but I'm not.When someone is loving your man but your man is lov..I mean your man is interested in you means..don't give a fuck about others."Mahir said.

"And what you saw that day..I'm sorry for it.She had a heart break that I'm getting married..but I really don't care.All I care is only about you.It's only you Bela.And that's my past,you are my present and future",Mahir said helding my hands.

"Are you sure Mahir?Because I don't want to be the reason for someone's heart break...and I can't take it when someone tries to take my man...I mean..I...",god what did I utter?

He gave a smirk smile after listening to this,
"Bela..it's always gonna be you.I need you to trust me.I know it's a bit difficult to trust me so soon,because the media always write something or the other about me.But I need your trust Bela.I will gain your trust",he said and I melted again.

"I trust you Mahir..but I don't trust your friend..I'm scared that she may end up doing something wrong and I can't forgive myself if she harms herself",I said.

Mahir laughed at this statement and sipped on his milkshake,
"Bela..she is not that type.I very well know about her,she is my friend since so long and we were in that relationship since three years.She is not a girl to take such silly steps,so don't worry about it.You just worry about me",he said.

I felt hurt when he said three years relationship,but it's OK.I was not there in his life at that time.It doesn't matter.

"Mahir I just want to say one thing..I don't care about your past and I have no right to judge you about it too.Just don't let your past get in between us..only our present and our future matters to me",I said.

"I promise you Bela..my past won't screw us.It will be just you and me",he said giving a broad smile.

Now I started blushing!!

I'm happy,finally he cleared my confusion.I was just waiting for this.

"Yeah and actually mom has send me to select our engagement cake"Mahir said.

Rehaan and RJ joined us now.They both got along good.

"Ya Bela..aunty called me and told to inform you.Wait I will get the design brochure",Rehaan said leaving.

"How is Kuhu RJ?"I asked.

"Ya she is good,eating up all the food and my mind too",he said and we laughed.

"Get married and come soon to our home Bela.This man over here is making the house up and down when the engagement preparations are going.Such a selective guy he is",RJ said and I blushed.

"RJ..no need to tell that in front of her",Mahir said helding his hand under the table.I was muffling my laughter.

"Yeah and have a look at it Mahir",Rehaan placed the design brochure in front of him.

"You want to choose Bela"?Mahir asked.

"No..you only choose",I said and he was looking so keenly at it.

"I want this one..it's looking beautiful",he said pointing out one design.

"Wow..that's the best design Bela had learnt till now.In fact your engagement cake will be the first cake with that design",Rehaan said and Mahir smiled looking at me.

"So..it's over,I will leave now",Mahir said looking at me and I nodded.

He and RJ got up to go and I rushed to the kitchen telling them to wait for me.I got some cookies and freshly baked cupcakes.

"Have these and cupcakes are for Kuhu especially",I said.

"Thank you",RJ said and he went out giving us some privacy.

"It's nice meeting you Mahir,will see you soon",Rehaan said shaking his hand and Mahir too said the same.

Rehaan and RJ left us alone..and my cheeks were burning remembering the kiss he gave the other day.

"Rehaan is your friend since childhood"?he asked.

"Ya since my childhood,he is like a brother to me",I said.

"Wow..that's cool",he said coming closer to me.

We were in a private cabin,no one could see us.

"So you are ready?Ready for the engagement"?he asked.

I nodded shyly looking at the other side.

"I can't wait Bela..I can't wait to hold your hand officially",he said helding my hand.

Ahh..goosebumps again!

"Get ready to become Mrs.Bela Mahir Sehgal Bela Sharma",he said and I laughed listening to this.

He came closer to me and tucked my baby hairs behind my ear hitching my breathe.He never left staring into me..and here I couldn't look into his eyes.

He was caressing my forehead with his index finger and I looked at him now.He kissed my forehead and I closed my eyes when I felt his lips.

I felt so touched with this kiss!!

"Bye,take care and get ready",he winked.

I smiled..I just become a stone when he comes close to me!

He wore his shades and left looking at me.

Now engagement it is!!

The days passed in a blur and here I am,sitting in front of my vanity table,getting ready for the ceremony.My house was in hushy-bushy mood with all my relatives and cousins.

My engagement dress was also given by Sumi aunty and Andy uncle.They really have an excellent collection of bridal outfits.It was tough for me to choose one,but I could choose one finally.

It was a white lehenga with gold work all over it,and had an off-shoulder blouse.It was the simple one compared to others but that attracted me more.

"Mam it's done",the make up artist said giving a final touch up on me.

I looked at myself..I was indeed looking like a doll,because I was blushing since yesterday due to my cousins teasing session.

My parent's came to my room and saw me.They had tears in their eyes.

"You are looking so beautiful Bells..just like a doll",my father said kissing my forehead.

Tears were ready to spill from my eyes,but I have to control.My parent's couldn't believe it,me getting married.

"Mahir is lucky to have you Bela",my mom said kissing my cheeks.

MAHIR

God what should I do with this girl? She is crying now,hugging me for her dear life.I dint hug her but I was caressing her back.

We heard a sound and our heads snapped in that direction.

Bela!

Shit...she saw us.What will she think now?

She left saying she will come later.

Fuck!!

"K listen,I already told you.I can't force myself to love you.Please forget me and move on with your life",I said.

"Why don't you love me Mahir?She just came few days before in your life and you started falling for her"?she said sobbing.

"Not a word about her K.You are right.Think again about what you said.That is the difference between you and her.Everyone are not same and she is definitely special to me.I love her",I said maintaining a distance from her.

"It's just been a few days Mahir,and you already love her"?she asked wiping her tears.

I gave a small smile and replied,
"I said that's the difference between you and her.I've been with you from many years but never felt like this.She enterd and I fell for her,that's the difference,she is damn special to me",I said.

She was still sobbing looking at me.I can't handle this drama anymore.

"My engagement ceremony is on March 16,I'm inviting you to come and be a part of our happiness",I said and she left in anger.

I need to talk to Bela,she must be hurt.I saw hurt in her eyes when she saw us.She must be feeling inferior.

Fuck this girl screwed up!!

It's been two days since that incident,I dint talk to Bela after that.I felt she needs some time for g herself and for me too.

I will meet her today when I will go to select the cake!

I met her and told everything,whatever happened.She was clearly hurt about what she saw that day.She was hurt even when I said about my 'no strings attached' relationship with K.

I told everything to her,she understood and was feeling good now.
Everything was cleared and I any wait to make her mine officially.

"Get ready to become Mrs.Bela Mahir Sehgal Bela Sharma",I said and she blushed.

I felt like taking her in my arms right now.I went near her kissed her forehead.She stiffed looking at me.

"Bye,take care and get ready",I said and left blushing.

And the days passed just like that and here I am,getting ready for the most important day in my life.

It's our day today,I will officially announce to this world that she is mine.

"Mahir..are you ready"?my mom came in a hurry.

She saw me and stilled for a second,
"My boy is all ready",she said hugging me.

My parent's were more happy than me.I'm so happy that they are happy because of me.

Bela you bought so much happiness in our life's!!

We all were ready and started to the venue.The media was back of us.

"Sir..congratulations to you,but who is the lucky girl going to share her life with you"?a reporter asked.

"You all will get to know in few minutes",I said and we all entered the hall.

Everything was set up so beautifully,all the arrangements were so perfect.This was a beautiful view.

I was waiting to see her,when will she come?

I got a call and I excused myself.I saw K standing with her parent's.I waved at her parent's and turned without looking at her.

"Ya not today,mail them tomorrow and..",my breath hitched.

My breath hitched after looking at her.Here she is..just like an angel.

How beautiful she is??

She is just looking like a fairy in that white lehenga,which had gold work on it.I was matching with her outfit too.

She looked at me and my heart stopped for a second.I kept my phone in my pocket and was staring at her.She was walking towards the aisle along with her parents.

"Control Mahir bhai..she is all your's",Kuhu said.

I still dint left her gaze,Bela was surprised when she realized that we both were matching in our outfit's.

She came and stood beside me,giving a shy smile.

"Hi",I said.

"Hi..",she said with a shy smile.

I saw my cousins and Bela's cousins hooting,taking our pictures and now they are making me also shy.

"You look beautiful Bela..just like an angel who came from heaven",I said.

"Thank you",she blushed.

We both sat for the pooja and everyone were so happy looking at us.

"OK now you can exchange your rings",the priest said.

The rings were beautiful just like her.My parent's were standing beside me and her parent's beside her.

We both took the rings..but were just standing like that.

"Come on exchange..what are you both waiting for"?Bela's mom said and everyone laughed.

I forwarded my hand and she slid the ring onto my finger.Everyone cheered for us and my face had a constant smile.

I took her hand and slowly slid the ring onto her finger.
"Yey congratulations Mahir..
Congrats Mahir..
Mahir..boy congratulations..",I could hear everyone wishing me but my eyes were stuck on her and her ring finger.

She is mine now..officially!!

"Congratulations Bela",I said helding her hand.

And again their hooting,media already started taking our pictures.

"Thank you and congratulations to you too",she said looking into my eyes.

I could see so much love and trust for me in her eyes and I can never forget this day in my life.

We both were giving pictures to the media,she was nervous at first but coped up along with me.

Everyone were coming and congratulating us.I introduced her to all our relatives,friends and everyone were so happy.

I saw K coming towards us..god now what?

"Congratulations Mahir..congrats Bela",she said.

I dint reply but Bela did,
"Thank you",she said.

"All the best to you both",she said and I gave a smile and thanked her.

Bela looked at me and I held her hand.She was blushing and that blush made her more beautiful.

"Um..Bela..I forgot to tell you one thing",I said.

"What is it"?she asked.

"Um..you know..I drink and I smoke too",I said.

She looked confused for a second and gave a smile,
"That's OK..I don't have any problem with that",she said and I'm really lucky.

"Ohoo..love birds enough of your both talking,now pose like a couples for our cameras",Yuvi said.

"Come on Mahir jiju..give a romantic pose with our di",her cousins too were hooting.

My parent's and her parent's were busy attending all the guest's.So why not having some fun and romance.

We both gave many poses,she was so shy..but gave in.

The media came to interact with us now.

"Congratulations to you both Mahir and Bela.Can you tell us how you both met"?a reporter asked.

I narrated everything like a good boy and everyone were so surprised when I said it's an arranged marriage.

But I guess they all loved our pair,they dint ask anything about me and K.

"Welcome to my world Mrs.Bela Mahir Sehgal.I promise you that I will never break your trust",I said.

"I trust you",she said looking at our entwined fingers.

We were attending all our guests and Bela's cousin came with a phone to Bela.

"Um Mahir..do you have a minute"?she asked.

"Of course..what is it Bela"?I asked.

"My friend Vish is on call..a video call.I want you to meet her..if you don't mind..,
"Of course I will meet her,come let's talk",I said and we both went to a corner.

"Vish..this is Mahir and Mahir..this Vish,my only friend",she said.

"Hello Vish..it's nice meeting you,how did you miss your best friends big day",I asked.

"Hi Mahir..nice meeting you too.I'm so sorry I couldn't attend your big day.But don't worry I will be for your wedding before a week",she said.

"Ya that sounds good and your friend is looking so beautiful today",I said and she laughed.

"You are lucky to have her...oh my god..I'm not able to believe,I'm talking to the global crush..The Mahir Sehgal",Vish said dreamily.

I smiled at this comment,
"Vish..",Bela grabbed the phone and excused herself feeling shy.

"Vish..idiot..don't blurt out like that in front of him",I said.

"Offo..come on Bela..I was having a fan moment",she said.

"Ya..ya..I know.Where is Vikrant"?I asked.

"One second babe,he is coming.Baby..."?she shouted for him.

"Hey Bela..a heartly congratulations to you..and you look beautiful",he said.

"Thank you..but I want you both here atleast 10 days before my marriage",I said.

"Of course,we can't miss your big day.We will be coming by the end of next week",Vikrant assured me.

"Is the ceremony over Bela"?Vish asked.

"No..still the cake cutting is left,Mahir and his family are attending the guest's,even mummy and dad too",I said.

I showed them the cake I and Rehaan baked.They loved it so much.

"OK Vish I'm needed over there,I will call you later",I said and ended the call.

"Bela..come",Sumi aunty called me.

I went and stood beside him and now it was the time for cake cutting.Everyone's mouth was agape when they saw the cake.

"My god..such a beautiful cake it is",Kuhu looked at it dreamily.

Everyone were appreciating me and Rehaan for our art work.

I and Mahir cut the cake together and we heard loud applauses from everyone.I took a piece and fed him and he just moaned at the taste.

"Hmm..so yummy",Mahir said wiping corner of his lips.

Everyone were having the cake and I was more than happy.Everything is going so good.

We all went to dine..and damn...how many dishes?

Since we both are Punjabi's,the food was looking really great.A lot of meat and I love it too.

"This is my favorite Hyderabadi Biryani.I love biryani,I ordered it specially.Have a taste",Mahir said.

OK he loves biryani.Keep it in mind Bela.I have to learn cooking biryani!!

My mouth tasted a hundereds of dishes today and all were yummy.

Soon we all sat on the round table,talking random things.

"So can we have the couple of the day for a dance",we heard the DJ saying.

My cousins and his cousins hooted.Mahir held my hand excitedly and pulled me towards the stage.

"I..I don't know how to dance",I said feeling embarrassed.

"It's OK..just move along with me",he said and I put my hand on his.

We both were swaying along the serene music and earning many hoots from our family.

He swirled me and I crashed in his arms,his one hand was on my waist which was sending tingling sensations.

God..what a dance it was!!

"I can never forget this day in my life Bela.I'm blessed to have you",Mahir said helding my hand.

"We are really lucky to get you as our daughter in law Bela.Welcome to the family",Andy uncle said.

I was happy..but was feeling jittery all of a sudden.My eyes started to flow suddenly.

"Arey..Bela..",my dad came hugging me.

I hugged him and I was sniffing.I just couldn't hold it anymore.

"We will always be with you baby",my dad said and I felt his voice breaking.

I was wiping my eyes but the tears were unstoppable.

"Arey babhi..we all will be there for you,especially Mahir bhai",Yuvi said putting a hand around my shoulder and I smiled wiping my tears.

"Bela..we are just like your parents.Don't cry beta..we are there for you",Sumi aunty said kissing my forehead.

I looked at Mahir,he was looking at the whole scenario silently.I smiled wiping my tears.

He came near me and held my hands in his,
"Bela..I will always be for you..you are everything for me.I will never hurt you",he said kissing my forehead.

This time no one hooted or teased us,because the situation was really serious.Everyone were having happy tears looking at us.

And I was shocked myself when I hugged him.I really felt like hugging him.He was caressing my back and kissed my forehead again.

"OK now..the crying is over right babhi,let's play something",Kuhu said.

We all laughed at her excitement.

We all were talking about the random things,and Mahir was not helping it at all.He was constantly staring at me.

Come one I belong to you now..don't stare still!!

God what am I thinking??

"Umm..Bela we have to tell one thing to you and Mahir",Sumi aunty said.

"What is it aunty"?I asked.

"You know I and Andy thought something thoughtful for you both",she said.

"What is it mom"?Mahir asked.

"Since you both will be getting married in few days,we thought to give you both some privacy.We bought a new house for you both",Andy uncle said.

New house?

"New house?Why dad"?Mahir asked.

"Come on now don't act Mahir,I know internally you are thanking us.But of course you both will be needing some me time for yourself right and Mahir you can leave the office soon like at five in the evening",Andy uncle said.

We will be moving to a new house?

Only me and Mahir?

"Are you OK with it Bela"?Sumi aunty asked.

"I'm OK with it but..why separate aunty.I mean we all could be together",I said.

"I know beta,but you both are having an arranged marriage.You both should get to know each other.You will be needing time,so we thought of it",she said.

"Yeah..it's actually good idea only...but..",Mahir was saying and everyone were hooting again.

Now my cousins and his cousins should join a hooting band soon!!!

"Arey let me talk..I mean mom..is Bela OK with it"?he asked.

"Bela..you OK with it"?Andy uncle asked.

"Your wish uncle,I'm OK with anything",I said.

"Perfect then.Mahir,you and Bela go and give a visit to your new flat tomorrow",Andy uncle said.

"Sure dad",Mahir said looking at me.

"So moving in with me ha..",Mahir said making my cheeks go pink.

It was the time to leave.The ceremony was a star studded one.
Everyone were so happy and my heart swelled with happiness today.

"This was such a good day.Can't wait to take you to our home Bela",Sumi aunty said kissing my forehead.

I smiled at her warmly!!

"And Bela..our Mahir here will be sulking,so be ready for tomorrow.You and Mahir should go for your new house visit",RJ said.

Everyone laughed at this and Mahir was all red!!

"Bye beta,take care and be ready for tomorrow",they said and were talking to my parents.

Mahir came and stood in front of me,
"So far this was the best day in my life..and it will be our marriage soon",he said and I laughed when he was blushing.

The Mahir Sehgal is blushing and I'm the reason for it!!

Wow!!

"Be ready tomorrow Bela..to see our new home",he said.

"Ya I will be..you take care",I said and his eyes softened.

"Bye..and take care",he said.

He thought to kiss me but many were here.He couldn't.Aww I feel sorry for him.

Their family and our family bid good byes to each other.Mahir waved at me and walked away with them.

I was feeling heavy all of a sudden..

"Mahir",I called out not caring what others will think.

He stopped in his tracks and turned towards me.He came near me with long strides and stood in front of me.

"This is the best day for me also so far..and..I..thank you for everything",I said.

He was looking at me with a different emotion,something which I couldn't say what was it.

He bend to my height and kissed my right cheek and my eyes popped out.

"You changed my world just like that Bela..you don't know how much you affect me.I'm so lucky to have you",he said.

I dint care who were watching us,because I wanted to sink into that moment.My eyes welled up at his reaction.

"I will pick you up tomorrow..and bye..take care",he said and left.

My parent's patted my head when he left.All are so happy.

This day was the best!!

Hey guys!! An update after so long.I know I told that I can't update anytime soon,but grabbed some time for you all and wrote it. I request you guys to please vote.I take a lot of time in writing a single chapter and I feel bad when there is no proper response.I seriously feel heart broken guys💔💔💔.I will try to update at least once a week from now.I don't want to do this but I have to..next update will be after 200+votes.I mean many read..but only few vote.
