Hey I am going to write the introduction from Clara Parks's point of view.

Clara's pov

Okay where to start, I guess let's start about 100 years ago, the year 2020. The vampires and werewolves showed themselves to the humans. The Queen of the vampires took the world from us. 

So, as she started to rule, she made a proclamation that all human families had a chance to be chosen. So if your family got chosen, you got taken to the chosen house. The world got divided into 8 sections, each section has a chosen house. So that means 8 families are chosen.

The first night can be the roughest, because you have to stand outside with your arms in a T. If you don't get taken, you go inside and head to your bedroom. If your family has a sibling younger than the age of 16, there is a bedroom they have to sleep in until they are of age. 

Once in your bedroom you sleep, most of the time this is when you hear a couple of screams from the taken.If you are still at the house in the morning you are considered lucky. You usually head to the dining room for your first meal. 

All meals are delivered to the house. After your first meal you do activities in your room that are set up. All the days continue like that, well apart from the T poses, you still have to go outside to stand in front of a fan to blow your scent. 

This goes on for five days. If you don't get taken you are sent to a slaughterhouse.

I hope that is enough description. Now let me introduce myself. My name is Clara Park, my father died when I was 3. I have 4 older siblings.

My family and I are sitting around the T.V. waiting anxiously for  them to announce the chosen families for this year.  The first section goes up and it is the Torrens family. They all slowly start to tell the world who is chosen. 

Finally they get to section 8, and it shows my family.  My mom exhales very loudly. She has been hoping we would get chosen so we don't have to suffer the loss of our fellow siblings.

 And after dad got attacked by a hungry vampire, she has been very overprotective.

My sisters squeal in excitement, I on the other hand groan. Being 15 while having only older siblings makes it aggravating for our family to be chosen. 

The Queen organizes gift baskets for the parents, so the are happy about the arrangement. I have never hated the queen more than I do now. I storm off to my room in anger that I have a year, a freaking year to get ready for the pain of turning. Lucky me. But that might change to 5 months.

I go to bed in my room hoping to get some sleep. My father died on the day of the choosing. So, I don't sleep much around this time of the month.
