Chapter 16
Evelyn, Lucian, Atlas, Lily, Jax, Celeste, Harley, Keyren, Ember, Adrian, and Peter are all online.
Here is the second part from the last chapter. It was way too long so I separated it into two chapters
Jax and Celeste stared at the splendor and beauty of the secret garden. In the middle, there was a couple frozen in stone. In there hands, there was part of a rod, and the shield that they needed.
Celeste: How on earth are we supposed to get the things that we need?
Jax gently placed a hand on who presumably was his mother. He glanced at her features, really visualizing on what she looked like. While he glanced at his parents, Celeste was exploring the area to find any sort of clue.
Celeste: Look! I found it! I found a clue!
Jax ran towards Celeste and saw the large book on the podium. Quickly, they both scanned the pages for any sort of clue.
Celeste: It looks like we have to answer a riddle. You are the only one who can answer it. "What was something that was lost, but still lives on?
Jax pondered for a moment. What could that mean? The answer quickly came to memory, as he answered.
Jax: The answer is Ariel, my sister. I'm sure my parents will forever remember her.
Suddenly, the stone began to crack, and Jax could see the Shield start to take to its true form.
Celeste: It's working!
James and Ariel have entered the chat.
James: Ariel....is it true?
Ariel: We're alive!! M
The couple embraced one another tightly, until Ariel noticed a man with similar features to her husband standing in front. She gasped in shock, and James quickly turned around to notice the same thing.
Ariel began to well with tears and Jax gave a small smile before embracing his parents.
James: You know what that means, it's time for the prophecy to be fulfilled.
Jax: Yes, we are in the process of collecting all the shields.
Ariel: What about the others?
Celeste: We don't know, we all got separated.
James's eyes darkened when he saw the woman, for he perceived her to be Amara,
Jax: Dad! It's not her, she's not evil I promise.
James: She is the spawn of that witch!
Jax: Yes, but she has never betrayed our group. She has been with us to the very end.
James nodded, for he could tell he was telling the truth. He then proceeded to hand Jax the Shield of Greenmore, one of the six shields of Unity.
Ariel: You will also need this. *hands the rod to Celeste*
Celeste: What is it?
Ariel: *smiles* it is one of many parts for the Scepter of Light.
Celeste: I don't understand.... I have the sword of light.... why do I need this again?
Ariel: Because, it has been foretold, that the rightful Queen of Anala will use this to free the land of Shadow and Death.
Celeste: I understand they are prisoners, but aren't they dead?
James: When we had our first war with Amara, many people died. They were supposed to go to the Kingdom of the Clouds and act as Celestial guardians, but Amara used dark magic to turn them into the Black Knights. By creating the Scepter of light, you free the people that had once died from their obligations here, and you would restore a part of Anala that has been lost for many years.
Celeste: The Shadow Isles is one of the parts to Anala.
Ariel: Yes.
Jax: so the scepter of light is the last relic?
Ariel: How did you know?
Jax: I saw it in the dream. I know I had a sister.
The couple was filled with sorrow as they nodded, remembering the fact that they no longer have their daughter.
Ariel: Even though we miss her dearly, we are so lucky that the Creator has favored you.
Jax: What do you mean?
Ariel: After a baby is born, they are given a Celestial Guardian, a spirit of sorts that watches over them.
James: Jax..... Your sister is your Celestial Guardian.
Jax and Celeste's jaws dropped so immensely, that they had to remember to pick it back up.
Ariel: Don't you see? She's been with you the whole time. We knew that we didn't have much time, and so we wished that you would never be alone.
Jax: I... I don't know what to say...
Suddenly, the ground began to shake, and the group exchanged a worried glance.
James: Quickly! Through the mirror!
One after the other, they all jumped through the mirror and found themselves outside the forest, hoping their friends would return soon.

Ember felt the door close on her as she glanced at Harley and Keyren going into their respective rooms. In front of her, was a large fireplace with many blacksmith tools. To her left, was a large older door with a golden keyhole, and vines running down the door. On the tool table, there was a small golden sphere. Gently, she placed her hand on it, which seemed slightly warm. If other people tried to touch it, they would receive third degree burns. She suddenly felt lightheaded and her eyes grow heavy. Without realizing it, Ember fell to the ground unconscious.
Ember realized that she was no longer in the Silverburn room. Instead, she was in a cozy bedroom that had a roaring fireplace. On the bed lay a sleeping woman with a swollen belly indicating that she was pregnant. Ember smiled at the fact that she was an identical copy of her mother. Her mother smiled and began to mutter in her sleep.
"Ember..." the woman whispered, sending chills down Ember's spine, and a smile spread across her face.
"Mom?" Ember spoke quietly.
The door opened, and Ember gasped when she saw her father. He had dark brown hair and emerald eyes. The woman woke up sleepily and smiled towards her husband her greeted her with a gentle hug.
"How's our little girl doing?" Brian asked.
"She's much better now that you are here." Brianna spoke with a smile. Her smile faded when she noticed the small injury on his arm.
"Your hurt! Did you have trouble hiding it?"
"It wasn't too terrible, the fragment of the scepter of light is hidden, along with our shield of unity. When the right person comes, they shall free the Shadow Isles, and our courageous daughter will save the kingdom." Brian spoke proudly.
Brianna smiled, and placed a hand on her stomach. "I want to name her Ember. I want her to be a light to the world."
Ember gasped as she resurfaced to reality. She smiled in awe of her parents, and hoped they were still alive. The sphere suddenly floated to Ember and transformed itself into a golden key. Quickly, she took the key and unlocked the door that was waiting for her. She glanced around the room, but saw nothing but another fireplace. Inside the fireplace were two very small flames. Ember smiled and gently used her powers to enlarge the flames. Ember stepped back as the flames grew larger and larger until they transformed into the married couple that were her parents.
Ember: *whispers* Mom... Dad??
Brianna and Brian have entered the chat.
Brianna: Ember....
The couple ran to embrace their daughter. All of them went from crying to laughing, to just smiling with pure joy.
Brian: I suppose you'll be needing the shield of Silverburn now.
Ember nodded with a grin as she accepted the beautiful silver shield. Her father stared at her in awe, so proud that she had make it thus far.
Brianna: take the fragment of the scepter of light. Each of your friends will have a fragment. Once it's together you can save the Shadow Isles.
Ember; What-
Suddenly, there was a pounding at the door, and Ember found herself going towards the fireplace.
Brian: this will take us to the outskirts of the castle. Quickly!
Ember: are you mad???
Brianna: dear, your forgetting you have fire powers.
Ember: oh yeah.
Quickly, the Hawthorne's were transported to the outskirts of the castle where they hoped to see the rest of their friends

Harley and Keyren glanced at one another before going into their respective rooms. Harley stepped in, and was greeted with a cozy sitting room with a roaring fireplace. Harley noticed that there was a large leather bound book sitting on the table that had a large sphere representing an eye. After many, attempts, he still couldn't get it open. Harley let out a frustrated groan, and suddenly he saw something. On the other side of the room, there was an extra sphere that began to brighten the room. When he touched it, he felt the small blood droplets on his upper lip before he felt unconscious.
Harley gasped when he opened his eyes, for he wasn't in the previous room. A woman was standing at the kitchen sink even though she wasn't really doing any dishes. Harley noticed that she was constantly staring out the window.
Harley: She's like me....
It was only when the woman finally turned around that Harley gasped in shock. The woman had a swollen belly, and she had the same eyes as Harley. He then focused his attention towards the door, in which the spinning image of Harley entered the home.
"Callie!" The husband shouted as he rushed towards the woman who was swaying from to side.
"Nathan!" The woman said with surprise. "Your home!"
"Yes I'm home." Nathan responded, "What was it this time?"
"Our son, his name is Harley." Callie smiled. "He takes after his mother. Nathan he's going to be a visionary."
Nathan smiled and gave a gentle hug. "I hope our son is compassionate as you are." He remarked.
"He will surely take after his father." She giggled.
Harley gasped for air, and felt the blood dripping from his nose. Quickly, he wiped it off and saw that the sphere that once floated in front of him was gone, but the book was open. Inside, was a key with a symbol of the eye that matched the cover of the book. Harley glanced to see what he could use to unlock, and he was greeted with a set of brown doors to the right. Harley unlocked the doors hoping that he would see his parents once more. Unexpectedly, his parents were not statues, they were in their regular human form. However, they were frozen in time and a had a circle made of fire around them. Harley used very little effort to diminish the circle of fire, and his parents gasped with air once more. The lovely couple soon transfixed their eyes to the man in front of them, and suddenly realized their relation due to the similar features. The woman ran to Harley and engulfed him in a tight hug. The father, followed the woman's suit and stared at his son in awe.
"You're..... you're real?" Nathan asked
"Yes Dad.... it's me...." Harley spoke with such emotion.
"We are so proud of you." Callie whispered while cradling his cheeks.
Nathan quickly handed Harley the Shield from the Estorn house and the rod. Harley gave a confused glance towards his parents, and they explained the importance of it. When the ground began to shake, they gathered together in a circle and disappeared through the fire portal that would magically appear.
Harley: Wicked.

Keyren took a deep breath and walked into the room. Surprisingly, there was a very large tornado with a glowing light. To prepare for the adventurous task, he took off his jacket and threw it to the side. A look of determination crossed Keyren's face as he kept into the eye of the storm. With every minute, Keyren fought to grasp the glowing sphere, and every time it would be just out of reach. Right before he was about to give up, Keyren mustered all of his strength and finally grasped the sphere before thudding to the ground unconscious.
Keyren gasped when he realized that he was no longer in the previous room, but in a rather a smaller room that was covered in blue. He smiled as he noticed the woman with her swollen belly feeling her stomach for any kicks from her little one.
Keyren; awww... I was so cute...::
Keyren noticed how the mother smiled so brightly when the sun began to peak through the window, and became more amazed when a handsome man with many of Keyren's features walked through the door.
Andrew: How is our little one?
Olivia: He's doing much better now that the sun is out. He's beginning to kick more.
Andrew: our little one sure does love the sun... speaking of our child, whatever shall we name them?
Olivia smiled lovingly at the unborn Keyren and she immediately knew the name.
Olivia: I want his name to be Keyren. Keyren means Beam of Light.....whatever powers he may have... I want him to be a light to the world and help as many people as he can.
Keyren was still sleeping when the two parents emerged from the large tornado. Quickly, the mother gathered Keyren into her arms and the father knelt to his level. Keyren's eyes fluttered open at the movement and he was greeted with the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. The woman smiled and he realized that his parents were indeed with him. After many greetings, the small family stood up, and Andrew gave Keyren the shield and the rod which they had already described its importance.
Keyren: What now?
Olivia: We go and greet your friends on the outskirts of the castle.
Keyren: Together?
Andrew: *grasps shoulder* together.

Atlas and Lily found themselves panting from the adrenaline rush. When their breathing returned to normal, they both exchanged a glance of nervousness and hope. Atlas grasped Lily's hand and gave a reassuring smile in which she returned gratefully. Inside the vault, were two glowing spheres sitting on the pillars. One had an electric current, and the other was enveloped by leaves. The two of them nodded as they grasped the spheres together before fading into unconsciousness.
When Atlas and Lily opened their eyes, they realized that they were no longer in the vault. Instead, there were two women with swollen bellies walking in the garden with servants accompanying them. Both Atlas and Lily recognized that there were similar features with the women that could allow Lily and Atlas to identify their mothers.
"Miss Elderstone!" A servant shouted, "You shouldn't be out! Your husband wants you on bed rest!"
Noelle Gray snickered as her friend was being scolded, even though the two were barely showing.
"That goes for you too Ms. Gray." The servant smirked as the smile fell from Noelle's face.
"Listen," Noelle spoke to the servant. "We are only a couple months pregnant, and barely showing. I'll go on bed rest when I need it. For now my dear friend Alice and I wish to spend time in the gardens."
The servant nodded and quickly left. Alice turned to her friend with a smile and Noelle couldn't help but laugh.
"Who thought we would end up pregnant together. Not only are we due in succession, but we have several women who are very close to who are also due around the same time."
"You know what's crazier?" Alice asked as Noelle stood in the sunshine while picking Lilies. "I think I found a way to figure out the gender."
Alice pulled a long chain with a sphere at the end of it. Noelle glanced quizzically at the object as she waited for her friend to explain.
"If it's a girl, it should go in a circle. If it's a boy, it will go back and forth."
"Ooohhhh" Noelle said, her interest increasing by the minute. "Let's do it."
The two women giggled as they performed the instructions. Alice gasped first when she realized she was having a boy. Noelle smiled enthusiastically for her friend when discovered the name and its gender. When Alice began to do it once more, Noelle's eyes welled with tears.... she was having a girl.
"What are you going to name her?"
"Lily.... it is after my favorite flower."
Atlas and Lily gasped with a shock, and the two smiled happily at one another.
Lily: looks like our moms were close.
Atlas: it would seem so. Suddenly, the spheres morphed into human figures, and the two were so surprised that they would come back to life. Those moments were the happiest the two had ever felt in a long time. After the many greetings, Damien gave the Shield to Atlas, and Noelle gave the rod that would complete the scepter of light to Lily. The families quickly created a portal, and hoped to see their friends on the outskirts of the castle

Lucian and Evelyn entered the vault cautiously as they searched for any booby traps. When they came to the realization that they were no literal booby traps, the couple relaxed hesitantly. However, as they were searching, they failed to realize the vault became darker, as if it resembled a moonlit sky. Evelyn's eyes filled with terror as a white sphere rose higher into the vault. However, Lucian paused to stare at the ceiling of the vault which resembled the beautiful stars. It was only when Evelyn let out a painful cry that Lucian rushed to be by her side.
Lucian: How is this possible??? We aren't even outside???
Suddenly, Evelyn turned into the beautiful wolf she was and stared at the moon. It was as if she was communicating with it.
Lucian: Evelyn.....you okay?
Evelyn turned herself towards Lucian and nodded quickly before howling. However, Lucian realized that it wasn't just a regular howl, it was a melody. He stared in awe at the entire scene, and soon stars were raining down in a gentle and beautiful way. Finally, the sphere was finally in Lucian's reach and Evelyn places a paw while he placed his hand simultaneously. Both felt their eyes grow heavy. Within moments, they were both unconscious.
Evelyn and Lucian opened their eyes to see two women who stood with non pregnant bellies. Evelyn inhales the fresh scent and realized that they were in the forest.
"I feel like they should be with child......" Evelyn commented. "I just feel like something is missing...."
"We can't be out here, you know that right?" Emiliae Shield asked.
"And why not?" Victoria Morningstar asked. "Are we not allowed to roam around our own kingdom? Besides. We need the fresh air. "
"You know why." Emiliae spoke with nervousness. "Dragons and werewolves are very protective over their soulmates-"
"I know, but just because we're married doesn't mean I can't go out. I want to be able to have a little bit of freedom to spread my wings, and feel the wind across them, it's especially beautiful around sunrise." Victoria remarked
"I know.. I just would feel guilty if they were to go through the grieving process, and I do think we should go out when we need want."Emiliae smiled.
"How about it then?" Victoria smirked "how about a dragon ride?"
Emiliae grinned, "Let's do it!"
Before Victoria could shift, Emiliae shoves her out of the way of a flaming arrow.
"Now would be a great time to shift!"
Victoria grimaced right after she attempted to shift, and failed in doing so, and similar affects happened with Emilae.
Emiliae: What's wring with us???
Victoria: I dunno, but it looks like the black knights are coming for more-
Emiliae: RUN!
The two women ran as fast as they could while gripping their stomachs. Finally, the two came to a clearing and collapsed while holding their stomachs. With all of her might, Evelyn let out a howl and fell unconscious.
Evelyn: MOM!
Lucian: *grabs her shoulders to face him* Look, we can't do anything. We are obviously in some sort of dream....*looks at his mother who's also unconscious and back at Evelyn*
Several howls were released as Evelyn saw the wolves and one dragon above them making their way towards the unconscious women. The dragon, whom Lucian recognized as his father picked up his mother gently and flew towards the castle. Evelyn noticed a wolf who looked similar to her stand over her mother protectively and growl at the enemy.
Evelyn and Lucian felt the scene change to a hospital wing where the women laid unconscious.
"What's wrong with them?" The men asked the nurses, wanting something to cure their beloved.
"They are both pregnant. They have just began in the first phase, which is the most painful."
"That explains why they couldn't shift to protect themselves, they had a baby...." Pietro murmured with a smile. "Our little dragon."
Evelyn and Lucian gasped for air as the ceiling turned to morning, and the stars began to form three human figures. Within moments, the two recognized their parents, and embraced one another in a joyful hug. Evelyn and Lucian knee that time was running out, so they gathered the necessary materials and teleported with their parents to the outskirts of the castle.
Alright yo. That's the chapter. I think we have like 5 more chapters and then our story will then come to a close! I hope you have enjoyed it!
