A/N: ITS AN EMOTIONAL CHAPTER SO PREPARE YOURSELF

Adrian: right, in my visions, I saw all of us reaching the castle, so that's where the Shields of Unity must be.  Be on your guard.

Atlas: yeah this isn't the most cheerful place on the planet.

Lily: There are so many paths. Which one do we take?

Suddenly, there was a rumble in the ground, and the whole group was blasted back from the outgrowing vines from the vine. When everyone stood up, they realized that they were separated, and the only way to go was forward.

Lily began to move her way through the dark forest, when suddenly, the grass turned into quicksand. Lily let out a yelp before she was drowned into the sand. Luckily, Atlas was not too far behind when he heard her scream. The fear of lily being gone forever pushed him to run as hard as he could to find her. When approached the area of the sinking sand, he saw Lily's sword on the grass. Quickly, Atlas began to use his telekinetic powers to find Lily. Once. He saw a squirming figure, he used his power to lift her into the air and onto the grass.

Lily squirmed as she coughed up bits of sand. To help expand the sand from her lungs, he patted her back so the rest would come out from her lungs.

Lily: t-thanks...

Atlas: anytime. * gently moves some sand out of her eyes and hair*

Lily: I thought I was going to die in there.

Atlas: Yeah, it was lucky I found you when I did.

Together, they helped each other up, and cast a weary glance around their surroundings. To cross the quick sand, Lily made a bridge using sturdy vines. Quickly, they crossed the bridge in fear that they would both suffocate in the sand.

On the complete opposite side, Celeste was battling her own battle in almost complete darkness. Her fear made her much more vulnerable for attacks. Her breath quickened as she tried to sense what was in front of her. Using her light powers, she was able to see what was in front of her. The light was like a lantern, illuminating enough to see what was in front of her, but surrounded by complete darkness.

Celeste: *low key hyperventilating * It's fine.... we're fine.... it's fine.....

Celeste stopped for a moment to look for any sightings of the shields. When she wasn't looking, a vine wrapped around her ankle and began to drag her across the forest floor. Celeste did her best at trying to release the vine from her ankle. As a last resort, she took out her sword of light, and tried to cut the vine.

Jax: *swings from the vines* NOT TODAY YOU WONT!

Celeste: Jax! It won't cut loose!

Jax: Just hang on! *begins to run the blade back and forth until finally, it stops*

Both Jax and Celeste fell to the floor, exhausted. Realizing that they are still in danger, Jax shot up to his feet and pulled Celeste up with his earth powers.

Celeste: Look! There's a castle!

Jax: TO THE CASTLE! *speeds towards the castle*

On another side of the realm, Adrian, Peter, and Ember walked cautiously across the Forest Floor.

Ember: What should we expect, with monsters and all.

Adrian: I dunno, anything really. You can't really prepare yourself for anything.

Peter: Fantastic.

Ember suddenly stopped and looked towards the bush that was shaking. Quickly, she pulled out her sword, and motioned for the group to follow her lead. The group watched as a rabbit hopped from the bush towards them.

Ember: that's not even cute. Go away!

The rabbit quirked it's head to the side making the group shiver with fear. Ember let out a scream as the rabbit began to transform into a large serpent.

Ember: EW EW EW!

Adrian: WHAT DO WE DO?

Ember: WE KILL IT YOU IDIOT!

Together, the group worked in harmony by using all of their powers to try and kill the snake.

Ember: It's not working!

Peter: OVER HERE! I found a weak spot!

Adrian: YOU HEARD THE GIRL! KILL IT!

Peter dodged the snake's attempt at trying to kill him by doing a side roll. While the snake was hanging low, Adrian used his strength to pick up Ember and drop her on the snakes head from many feet in the air.

Ember: *while falling from the sky* ARE YOU MAD!

Peter: STAB THE HEAD!

Ember quickly pulled out her sword and pierced the snake's skull causing the snake to wail in pain. To make sure the snake was dying, Ember pushed the sword deeper into the skull until the snake collapsed.

Ember: is it dead?

Adrian: Yes, it's dead. *pulls out the sword*

Ember: right, next time you plan on doing an aerial performance, give me some notice next time.

Peter: Look! There's a castle! Let's go!

When Evelyn awoke from the blast, she noticed she wasn't alone. Next to her, Keyren laid unconscious, and a fire surrounded them in a circle.

Evelyn: Keyren! Wake up! There's a fire! Wake up!

Keyren *mumbles* Harleyyyyyy I'm to tired.... *sits up and sees Evelyn* You aren't Harley.

Evelyn: I'm afraid not. We've got more trouble on our hands.

Keyren: Well can't you put it out? You do have water powers!

Evelyn: you don't understand! There isn't any moisture in the air! It's just dry!

Keyren: *uses wind powers but makes the fires grow higher* well crap.

Evelyn: wait! Make an opening!

Keyren: What! That will make the fire raise even higher!

Evelyn: trust me *turns into a wolf and beckons Keyren to get on*

Keyren did as Evelyn instructed. By doing so, it created a small opening for her to jump out of the fire. However, not such success comes freely. Evelyn let out a yelp as the fire seared into her wolf's shoulder. However, she continued to press on with the fire pursuing her. As they rounded the corner, she stopped in her tracks, as if sensing more danger ahead.

Keyren: What is it?

Evelyn let out a howl, which is the same howl that is used when a member needs help. Steam began to rise from the ground, and Evelyn felt her paws get warm. Keyren followed her gaze to a few yards away. There, a spout of lava emerged making Keyren freeze with fear. Evelyn let out one last howl before she began to take off again, the lava not far behind her.

Lucian and Harley stirred quickly when they heard a howl. Lucian scanned the area, and became more alarmed when he didn't see Evelyn. Harley tuned into his psychic powers and saw that Evelyn and Keyren were running from lava.

Harley: Dude we gotta go now. If we don't hurry, we won't be able to save them both.

The two men ran side by side until they came upon the land covered in fire.

Lucian: Well, we cant run, so you might as well hop on. *turns into a dragon*

As they flew over the Shadow aisles, both of them searched with worry on if they would be able to find their loved ones on time. Lucian dipped downwards as they saw a human and and a burnt wolf in a corner. Evelyn howled with delight when she saw Harley and Lucian, and transformed into a human once more. Keyren and Evelyn, clung to each other, as they were both standing on a small piece of rock that was being devoured by the lava. Lucian smoothly grabbed Keyren and Evelyn with his claws, and relief washed over them. What soon followed, was very painful,

Harley: LOOK OUT!

Evelyn and Keyren let out a cry of pain as they were burnt by the rising lava. Lucian flew faster, but Keyren couldn't hold on, and unfortunately let go.

Harley: KEYREEEENNN!

A flash of white wings flashed before Harley's eyes, and he smiled with relief that Adrian had caught Keyren. Adrian glanced at Evelyn who was barely holding on, and decided to fly behind her just in case. As they neared the castle, the rest of the group glanced at them with worry. Lucian gently landed so that Harley could dismount.

Harley ran to Keyren and embraced him tightly. Harley soon felt the wet tears of Keyren, and glanced to see if it was hurt. Instead, Keyren was glancing at the unconscious Evelyn whom Lucian was cradling.

Keyren: It's m-my fault! Evelyn c-carried me the whole w-way, she shouldn't have to suffer.

The whole group surrounded Evelyn, hoping she would wake up.

Celeste looked around to see if there was any sort of life in the forest. Lily and Jax soon followed, hoping to help their dear friend.

Lucian: *tears welling in his eyes* W-what are we gonna do?

While Lucian held Evelyn, Celeste, Lily, and Jax found an old watering hole, despite the dry climate.

Celeste: if we use this, we could bring the watering hole back to life!

Lily: lets do it.

Jax: we do need some sort of water source.

Adrian: wait! I remember reading about this! Long ago there was a lake, and a woman bathed in light would help people heal if they were dying. However, Amara destroyed the lake, and the Lady in light disappeared. She can only come back if we have tears of sorrow, conjoined with the earth and light.

Celeste: Of course! So Lily and Jax and I will channel powers, and we need someone's tears. *pulls out a vial and walks towards Lucian*

Lucian nodded, and the tears flowed from his eyes. Celeste gave a sympathetic look after she had collected the tears. Quickly, she poured the tears into the dry watering hole and joined hands with Jax and Lily. Within moments, the group was surrounded by light, and there was a newly made lake. The group stated in awe at the splendor of such a lake. Suddenly, a woman rose from the lake. Peter gasped as he noticed the resemblance between the woman on the lake, and Evelyn.

Emiliae has entered the chat.

Emiliae: Peter? Is it really you?

Peter: Indeed. How are you here?

Emiliae: Amara tricked us, and while I was in the water, made the lake into a drought. She did something with the others I'm sure. Now, tell me, how many years has it been since the downfall?

Peter: sixteen.

Emiliae: *gasps* does that mean.... my daughter.....

Peter: She needs you more than ever *gestures towards Evelyn and Lucian.*  She is badly wounded, and needs your help.

Keyren: YOU HAVE TO SAVE HER..

Emiliae: Quickly, bring her in, the water should naturally heal her.

Lucian carries Evelyn into the lake, and Emiliae stared with curiosity. When Evelyn was fully submerged, the water began to glow, and silver spheres began to surround Evelyn.

Lucian: What are those?

Emiliae: Water fireflies, they go into the skin, and cleanse the body.

Lucian watched in awe as Evelyn's wounds soon disappeared and a small smile spread on Evelyn's face.

Evelyn: Ya know.... ya could always take a picture of me, it will last longer.

Lucian grabbed Evelyn and pulled her into a bear hug. Evelyn felt him shaking, and held him just as tIght. When they looked up, the whole group was running towards them with glee, and Keyren was the first to reach her with tears welling in his eyes.

Evelyn: Hi buddy.... you okay?

Keyren: you shouldn't have saved me.

Evelyn: You are all my best friends, I'd die for you,

Keyren: SHHHHHH NO ONE IS DYING TODAY!

Evelyn laughed, and proceeded to hug everyone else. When she finally finished, her heart froze at the resemblance of the woman standing behind the group.

Evelyn: are you.....

Emiliae: Yes, I am your mother. My name is Emiliae.

Evelyn: Where is my Father?

Emiliae: In one of the six Vaults with one of the shields of unity.

Ember: well dang I wasn't expecting that lol.

Emiliae: You must continue on your journey... and Amara must be stopped

Jax: wait wait wait... I don't understand, how is it that you are alive and well? Are you dead?

Emiliae: I'm very much alive. You see, when we went to defeat her, Amara froze time. So for the entire time of the battle and sixteen years, I haven't aged. When we went to defeat her, we had made a lock on the realm. By doing this, she was stuck, but she took us with her-

Lily: making you stuck in the realm with her.

Emiliae: It was us against her army. So, she decided to trap us, or make the rest into the Black Immortal Knights. Everywhere she went, she spread darkness and death. That's why it's called the Shadow aisles, because everywhere she went, spread the shadow of death.

Celeste: Ew

Emiliae: However, the Shadow Isles has the chance to become full of light and life once more. You have unlocked the first step of fulfilling it's splendor.

Lucian: I don't understand, why is the Shadow Isles so important to the Fate of Anala.....

Emiliae: By doing so, you are eliminating Amara's source of power. There are many people here that are citizens of Anala. They have been trapped as long as I have. If you free the land of Shadow and Death, you gain a whole other army, one that is much more powerful.

Lucian: because if we didn't, Amara would still have a source of darkness and troops to back her up.

Evelyn: So, how do we do this? You say you are the first part, what do we have to do?

Emiliae: At the Castle, there are six vaults that are heavily guarded by the Black Knights. By getting into the vaults, and overcoming the challenges, you would be defeating one section of darkness at a time.

Everyone; Ahhhhhhh

Atlas: is there anything else in the vaults.

Emiliae: Ah yes. The opportunity to free your parents.
