"No......" Pipers voice rang out in the room. Everyone turned to look at her as she took a step back, her eyes filled with grief and pain.

She couldn't bear the sympathy in their eyes. She couldn't bear another second of looking at her sisters lifeless body, covered in blood.

She ran out of the hall as fast as she could,tears flowing down freely from her eyes before she could even stop them, with no particular destination whatsoever.

Everyone had forgotten about her while they were having a rendezvous together, and no one was brave enough to tell her about her sisters death.

Everyone's eyes turned to look at Drew, who seemed largely unbothered by the fact that her older sister was stabbed and continued chatting with Octavian, who was partially ignoring the conversation.

Annabeth looked at Leo, who had sunken to his knees and buried his face in Calypso's shoulder, with Hazel's gentle hand on his shoulder.

She wanted to go comfort Piper, but she couldn't, she couldn't cut through the crowd nor did she know where to find Piper.

And Chiron had specifically instructed her (and Coach Hedge) to make sure no chaos erupts in the room.

She looked around frantically, until she saw a wave of blond and purple leave the room and sighed in relief, turning her face back to the scene that was unfolding before her.

Piper was sitting on the roof of the Pallas, under the stars, silently crying into the dead of night. She shivered due to the cold but she didn't care.

Her sister had died. Her sister, who had always protected her against her parents and Drew. Her best friend. Dead.

She removed the gold chain from her pocket, it was the one Silena wore all the time. It had fallen down while she....dying.
Silena never let any one of her sisters see what was inside of the locket, it was her most prized possession.
"Maybe one day I'll show you piper" she always said.
Piper took a deep breath, and opened the locket.

Everything made sense now....Silena sneaking out every weekend, the engagement ring on her lifeless body. Pipers tears began flowing again.

She wiped a tear from her cheekand felt a warm presence behind her.

Before she knew it she was swept up into someone's arms, she didn't know who it was and she started to thrash .

But then a familiar voice said ,"Shh Pipes, it's just me, it's just me." She relaxed into Jason's arms and cried into his chest the entire night and he didn't move.
