"Next!!" yelled out a voice. Katie stepped forward, though the door.
Walking towards the table, she put down a single pressed daisy flower.
But before she did that, she brought it up to her lips and gave it a little kiss. Please let Travis pick this, she whispered.

"Hurry it up cupcake !" Coach Hedge yelled. Katie nodded quickly and hurried out.

Each of the princesses had been asked to put down one item each, and each prince had to pick an item from that table. Whichever one the prince picked, they would be going on a date with that princess.

What was surprising was that Princess Thalia and her fiancé Luke had decided to participate in the dates even after their engagement.

Normally couples who were paired stayed away from activities such as this, just enjoying each other's company.

"Everyone return to their rooms! " Hedge yelled at the princesses once they'd all finished putting their things in the room.

With a gasp they all ran back in the direction of their rooms, though they were all headed to a garden for some secret- no- chaperone- tea together.
Drew had accidentally not been invited......oops.

Once everyone settled down on the grass, Silena served the tea.

"How nice is this! We can sit on the grass without those huge poofy gowns taking up half the garden!" Piper exclaimed, causing everyone to laugh.

With some small talk here and there, the girls began their picnic.

"Damn it!" Clarisse cursed. "I forgot the truffles."

Everyone groaned, Thalia's voice was the loudest. "Oh stop being babies ! I'll go get them! Anyone wanna come ?"

"I'll go get them, Mellie has them in the kitchen right?" Katie said.

She got up and set off towards the main building.

As she reached the kitchen she heard a familiar "Boo!!" behind her.

"Connorrrr," Katie groaned, turning around to face her friend.

Katie and Connor had grown close over the weeks they were here. Though Connor knew of her feelings for his brother, he didn't make it weird for her, besides the constant teasing. She'd come to view Connor as her little brother, the one she never had, but always wanted.

"How'd you know it was me !" He pouted.

Katie laughed, "Cause you're the only one as annoying as you are."

Connor rolled his eyes. "Where are ya off to ? A rendezvous with my brother perhaps ?" He said, raising his eyebrows with a smirk.

Katie turned red and immediately slid through the kitchen door. Close call.

If Connor saw her blushing, she would never hear the end of it.

She quickly located the basket of chocolate truffles and grabbed it. As she headed out the door, she was surprised to find Connor leaning against the wall, waiting.

"What happened, sis-in-law ? Is my brother in there? Cause you seem a little red, maybe...."

Katie quickly grabbed a truffle and stuffed it in his mouth before he could finish.

She laughed at the boy trying to chew the entire thing and not choke or spit it out.

"Bye Connor!!" She winked as she dashed down the corridor.

"That was delicious by the way!!" she heard him scream and laughed.

"I got the truffles!" Katie announced and was greeted with a loud joyous cry.

Silena patted the ground next to her, motioning Katie to come sit next to her.

"We were just wondering what the boys were doing." she said as Katie sat down.
"That's a good question." she replied with a laugh. "I just ran into a stoll by the kitchen. So I'm assuming they didn't start picking yet."

"Stoll huh? May we ask which one?" Clarrise said, smiling evily.

Katie, for the second time in half an hour, blushed. "Oh please!! It was Connor!"

Jason glanced over at Leo, who was banging his head against the door and muttering, "how much longerrrrr"

The princes had been made to wait outside for over an hour though the princesses had done their object placing two hours ago.

"Hey Jason !" Percy greeted him. He had seemed busy in a conversation with his brother Tyson, so Jason hadn't disturbed him.

"How are you holding up buddy?'' Percy asked with an awkward smile.

Jason sighed, "I don't know if I'm ready to go out on any dates yet, but this is what I'm supposed to do here and I respect that."

"Reyna meant a lot to you huh?'' Leo asked, joining the conversation.

''She did....not romantically. Marrying her was a duty I was supposed to do for my kingdom, one I was ready to do. We would have made an excellent team. But I failed my duty towards her and my kingdom, thats what hurts me. A true prince should not put himself first."

Percy placed a hand on Jason's shoulder, "You didn't fail bro. The alliance had already been signed, you getting married was just..."

"The cherry on top," Leo finished.

"The cherry on top," Percy nodded. "So you have nothing to feel bad about. It was mutual right? You didn't end it, meaning she wanted to end it too. So it wasn't selfish of you."

"Plus" Leo began, standing straighter to look smart, but utterly failing. "We are in the Choosing. If you're engaged when you get here, whats the point? Why come here in the first place?''

"Thank you guys," Jason nodded with a faint smile.

The doors open and all the princes let out a cheer. "Finally!!" yelled out Prince Travis.

Percy was called in first, who immediately emerged with a.....blue cookie?

Frank entered and exited with a gemstone.

Leo picked with a crisp white handkercheif, which he immediately dropped on the floor.

Travis went in and came out with a smirk and pressed daisy. He hi-fied his brother with his free hand, while carasing the flower with the other.

Luke went in and emerged with a dagger and a laugh, shooting an evil look at a confused Percy.

Beckendorf went in and came out with a shoe.

Octavian went in and emerged with feather.

Prince Tyson...was given a parchement of paper. He didn't get to go in, rather it was brought to him.

Chris Rodriguiez came out with a gold coin.

Nico came out with a jewellery set and a confused look, "who puts an expensive set of jewellery in here and can I have it?'' he asked.

Connor came out with some paints

Jason went in and exited with a spear.

"Sorry dear " Mellie said, coming out of the room. She glanced over at Will, who shrugged. "Thats all right, I had to go meet Bob the Doc anyway, he's teaching me some healing tricks."

Mellie smiled, "Alright boys, return to your rooms. Try not to damage any of the items as you'll have to give them back to your dates."

"Uh oh," whispered Percy, who had already finished eating the blue cookie.

Mellie looked at him and sighed, " I suppose you can stop by the kitchen, I'll make you a fresh batch and you can give them to her as an apology."

"Thats all right Mellie, I think I know who it is. She wouldn't mind." Percy smiled back.

"Annabethhhhhh" Travis and Conor whisper sang and the entire room, excluding Prince Annoying Octavian, burst out laughing.

''YOU HEARD MELLIE, TO OUR ROOMS WE GO !!!!" Percy turned on his heal and ran.

Jason smiled. This was going to be fun.
