Hiccup threw his saddle on Toothless and got on him.

"Ready, toothless?" He nodded.

Hiccup and Toothless had usually won these races, but Astrid was catching up. This race was between them to see who was really the winner. So, it was kind of like a Super Bowl for Dragon Racing. If someone won, they would be awarded the "Burk Cup", A trophy made of solid silver with a little figurine of a guy riding a dragon on it.

The horn blew. The gates unlocked and rised. Toothless sprinted to the middle of the arena. Soon, they were face-to-face with Astrid and storm cloak. The judge rose the flag. Hiccup flashed a smile and Astrid returned it. The judge slapped the flag against the floor and the game had begun.

Hiccup pulled Toothless upward. They were above the clouds when he turned back and shot downwards. They went super fast, and almost hit the floor. Fortunately, Toothless pulled up and went through ten hoops in a row.

"Oh, Hiccup! That's 100 points, but better kept going, Astrid's at 90." He heard the game announcer say.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the black sheep about to be flung into the air. He raced towards it and got it!

"Wow, that's 300 for Hiccup, and 200 for Astrid."

He went on, but Toothless started whimpering. "What is it, buddy?" Hiccup check to make sure everything was in order. But it wasn't. The black sheep was hanging on to the string that connected his foot with Toothless's tail with its teeth. "Oh no..." The string snapped and Hiccup continuously pressed his petal down, but nothing happened.

Astrid was just getting 10 more points going through a hoop, when she saw toothless and hiccup falling. She raced over there and told storm cloak to grab them with his feet. He tried, but all he could get was Hiccup, because Toothless was too heavy.

"Toothless!" Hiccup cried out. But it was too late. Hiccup smashed into the ground with a loud thud. The crowd went silent. Astrid lowered storm cloak and Hiccup sprinted towards toothless. "A-are you okay?" Toothless stood up and tried flapping his wings. It didn't work.

The game announcer broke the silence. "It appears that Toothless has broken his left wing."
