One: The Kiss
Merida slumped back in her huge chair that her father had given to her. She re-thought what she had done, and thought of better ways it could've ended.
She first thought of what might have happened if Hiccup did not be mad at her when she had kissed him. Yes, she did understand that he had a girlfriend and did want to cheat on her. But, maybe, if Hiccup did not get pisses of at her, he would leave Astrid, and they would live happily ever after. Simple.
Next she thought of if she didn't kiss him in the first place. But she knew that wouldn't happen. She would have to wait for Hiccup to come to her, but he is super impatient. Besides, she was madly in love with him, it had to happen anyways.
Merida took her phone out of her jean pocket and went to her and Hiccup's messages. She scrolled through all the cute conversations they had. The last text was from Hiccup:
Hiccup Haddock: Hey Merida! Astrid's totally cool with lunch tomorrow! :)
It was going so well.
Merida's thumbs hovered over the screen for a minute or so before she decided to type something.
I-A-m-S-o-r-r-y.
Too... begging for forgiveness-ish.
I-W-a-n-t-t-o-s-t-a-r-t-o-v-e-r
But she doesn't
F-r-i-e-n-d-s-?
That seemed ok. He pressed the send button and put her phone down. Merida sighed and rubbed her forehead.
"Merida, you bettar get down here, dinners ready!" Elinor called from downstairs.
The gang all went to Burk for their next stop. They were planning to go to everyone's home, and Anna and Elsa were already crossed off the list.
Instead of living in a castle, Merida stayed in a temporary home of her own. It was pretty small, but it worked for her parents and her. Merida's devious little brothers were being babysit back home, and they are probably stealing all the sweets they can.
"I'll be down dere in a minute!" She yelled and sighed again.
She ran downstairs, and saw her mother setting a bowl full of soup down on the table.
"I made your favorite, mushroom stew!" Her mom turned the sink on and started washing the dishes. Merida quietly sat down next to her dad, who was loudly slurping his soup and too focused in his food to notice Merida.
"Merida," Elinor glanced toward her, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Mum."
"Okay.. Hurry up eating, because we are going to a dragon race after this. Rumor has it that the chief is riding..." She said trying to convince Merida.
"Chief?"
"They say his name is Hiccup Haddock, what an odd name, donchya think?" Elinor chuckled
"I don't think it is." Merida got up from the table "Actually Mum, I'm not that hungry, had a big lunch. And I think imma stay home today. I.." She trailed off
"Are ya not feelin' well?" Her mom completed her sentence.
"Ya, that's it." Merida replied,"Imma go ba' to my room. I'm sure you and dad will 'ave a great time at the races."
"Ok then, it looks like it's gonna be a date with me and your dad then. Are you sure you don't need to talk to me about anything?" Elinor dried off her hands.
"Yup, See ya later."

Ding.
Hiccup checked his phone. It was Merida.
Just now
Merida: Friends?
He sighed.
Hiccup was very tempted to not reply. But, she was a great kisser, so he had to cut her some slack.
Me: I don't know
Merida: Then what do you do know?
Me: That I want Astrid.
Merida: Ok then. Friends or not?
Me: Friends. I gtg, race time.

First Chapter! It's kind of short and boring, but it'll get better. They have phones...sorry it's not correct time period, but I needed them for the story.
