the child
Once a long time ago, in a land now forgotten was a small home tucked into a mountain, where a young women would have a child. The one who is too save the land.
It was storming outside as it had been for days. A young women was having a child, her crys of pain could be heard over the storm but once the child was born her crys of pain stopped and the storm stopped. The night become clear. The new born had almost white hair, the bluest of eyes, and pointy ears.(which should have been expected, for the child was half elf.)
Ten years came and went. The child grew bigger and stronger as each day . As the child got closer to the door dragging a deer. "Mother look what I have caught for dinner." The child spoke.
"You have been gone all day, you did not even say you were going to go hunting." The young women yelled.
"But mother, we would go starving if I did not."
"Go to your room!" The mother yelled even louder.
As the child walked into the house, the child walked over to the chest which held the childs belongings, nd stuffed what the child needed into a bag. Once it was dark the child snuck out, grabbing the bow and quiver stuffed with arrows, but as you might be wondering, why is the child running away? The child had been planning on running away for a long time. But the child finally thought it was time to go. The child's plan is to find out who their father is.
Since the child was little, the child knew that they were different. Their mother, a human hobbits hybrid. The child always wanted to know what they were. After hours of walking, the child saw something in the corner of their eye. The creature was large and then it walked out into the open for the child to see it was a wolf. But it didn't attack it simply walked up to the child. The child reached out their hand and petted the creature, a genital giant. The wolf looked starved and weak, so the child ignoring the fact, that if they fed it, the wolf would attack once it was no longer weak. The child grabbed food out of the bag and fed the wolf. When the wolf was no longer weak it didn't attack, but licked the child's face.
...
The child slept well. It was daytime for it was safer to travel under the cover of darkness. The wolf was curled up beside the child. But once it was evening, the child and the wolf set out.
"You must be the most loyal of animals. What shall I call you?" The child called out to the wolf. The wolves eyes seemed to brighten as it looked up at the child.
"I know just what I shall call you. Fighter." The wolf almost seemed full of joy.
...
Four day have passed since the child ran away. When the child was very near to a village, the hunters of the village discovered them.
"Who may you be." One of the hunters hosed at the child.
A small voice answered." Just a passer by."
"The passer by is merely a child, stand down." A man who was tall with long brown hair and pointed ears, said in such a strong voice you could tell he was the leader.
"Young child come with us." He said in a tone that was slightly scary.
Of course the child was fearful and even Fighter seemed to be scared. The man mumbled something to himself and chuckled a bit then said." Well it makes sense you don't want to go with a stranger. I am Elrond, who might you be?" The rest of the men started hushed whispers. But yet the child, did not answer.
"Young child just answer the question."
"Sam."
"What?"
"My name is Sam."
"Okay now come a long."
" What about Fighter?"
"Just leave the animal behind." One of the other men said rudely.
"Do not speak again." Elrond uttered.
"Sam you may bring him but he will rest outside."
"The sounds good ." Sam mumbled.
Not another word was spoken as they headed towards the village. You might wonder why Elrond was being nice. Well you would not if you ever met the elves. They are kind, and would give theirs coats off their back to a complete stranger. Then they arrived at the path down to the village.
...
Once they arrived, the hunters started going off in different directions.
"Sam what are you? When I say what are you, I mean are you a hobbits, a draw that we mistaken for a child, or a human?" Erland said the word human as if it was the worst thing ever.
"I don't know."
"Of course you know, I need to know if you are a threat."
"How could I be a threat I'm merely a child."
"You must not know of the enemy." There was a silence until Elrond spoke again.
"Just remember if you are the enemy we will not hesitate to kill you. Lying will not be translated. Do you understand?"
"Yes sir."
...
Sam was directed to where Sam would be sleeping. It was small, the walls were brown and it seemed the trees were holding the building together. The floor was stone. The bed was soft, there was barely anything in the room. It was the first time since Sam ran away ,that Sam got to sleep in a bed.
...
Sam awoke to Sun light pouring in through a window. Sam got out of bed and gathered Sam's things. Sam was about to leave when Sam got caught by Elrond.
"Where do you think you are going?" Erland said.
"Why does it matter?"
"If you are not the enemy, then if you leave you will be murdered, the enemy will show no mercy."
"Well that is my problem, not yours ."
"For now you will stay here."
"But I could just leave."
"No you won't."
"How are you sure?"
Elrond walked away without answering. Sam didn't care, about what he said. Sam planed on leaving even if Sam did get killed. Sam didn't care.
...
Sam had managed to sneak out and right before Sam was about to leave she heard people talking. Sam heard Elrond say.
"We are no longer safe, Robert. And his evil forces are coming. If we are not prepared, we and everyone in the land will be slaughtered by dawn."
The elves got up and started to prepare for battle. That's when Sam knew what to do. Sam had to stay although Sam's original purpose for running away was to find Sam's father, Sam realized that small was meant to fight. Sam saw how terrified people were that evening as the army's of evil attacked. It was surreal as Sam saw people dying, getting stabbed. Sam froze as more elves died in front of Sam's eyes, Sam grabbed an arrow and shot it. Sam wasn't quite sure where it was going but didn't care at that moment, because somebody hit Sam in the back of the head with the hilt of their sword, Sam passed out. When Sam woke up she saw fighter struggling for life to bad this fight he would not win. But then Sam realized Sam saw elves cleaning up damage. They survived. There were body's everywhere. That's when somebody realized Sam wasn't a dead body. Although Sam looked dead. Someone noticed Sam was still breathing. Someone ran over and yelled. "This girl isn't dead!" Sam passed out and woke back up in an infirmary.
"Child you saved the elves." Elrond said.
"How?"
"The arrow you shot, it hit Robert right in the heart, and without a leader the evil forces were easy to defeat."
It took a moment for her to realize what she did. She was about to reply, when Elrond spoke again.
"Child, your mother did a good job raising you, I wish I could of seen you grow up."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I mean I wish I could of seen my only child grow up."
You might be wondering why I know so much about Sam. It is because I am her great ,great, great, great, great ,great ,great great, great, great grand daughter I am the last elf, although you will likely pass by this story as if it was fiction. But I assure this is true, good bye.
