Sakura's point of view

They left me.

My team.

All of my friends

They left to look for him.

My name is sakura haruno, age 17 soon to be 18. I'm an anbu black op and new legendary sannin for i am the pupil of lady hokage, tsunade-sama. My friends the rookie 9, team guy and their sensei's left me except for hinata and shikamaru.

If you're wondering who him is, that would be sasuke uchiha. I used to love him until he left the village for revenge, knocked me out, left me on a bench during the night, and tried to kill me twice.

But that all changed because I'm no longer that weak girl. I have moved on.

~A year after the war ended~

I am training with my team (mostly hina-chan) which is shikamaru and hinata. We are the strongest in the village so no one dares to challenge us, especially me.

"Alright hina-chan I think that's enough for today" I say calmly standing up and putting my weapons away in my pouch. I've been taking it easy on her since she's pregnant.

"Hai" she put away her weapons and walks to the tree to wake up the one and only lazy Nara.

"Shika-kun" she moved his shoulder then stood back up.

"......" he stayed quiet meaning he's still asleep.

"Kura-chan" she looked to me then pointed to the lazy bum still asleep.

*sigh*

I opened my water bottle and poured it on the sleeping Nara.

*Splash*

"Wake up shikamaru, we're going to eat dinner now" I say walking away to go to ichiraku's.

Shikamaru got up and wiped the water off his face while grumbling how "troublesome" I am. Hina-chan just giggled the way to the shop with a hand on her baby bump.

The villagers all around us would greet us or give us gifts for taking care of them for the past year. As we arrived to the little ramen stand and ordered we talked about how good hina-chan has gotten speaking without stuttering.

"Hina-chan we're both proud of you, you use to be very shy but now your confident" I giggle with a big grin on my face. Shika-kun also smiled but it was very small.

"Well i wanted to be like you and shika-kun, confident and strong" she smiled back at both of us but took me by shock.

"Hina-chan you've always been strong, you were just shy to show it. Anyways I can't wait for you to have your little baby, I call being the godmother" I put a hand on her belly while she giggled. Then her stomach growled signaling the baby was hungry and we all laughed.

"Here you go" teuchi gave us our ramen then left us to talk more.

"Yum, I'm starving" i say breaking the chopsticks apart to eat. Just as I was about to eat someone called my name.

"Sakura-hime" a masked anbu called kneeling down behind me.

"Mes, oto-san" I had ramen in my mouth so i couldn't talk right.

"Your grandmother has called for you she said it was urgent, she also said to bring your team" his head still bowed down.

"Well, it must be urgent if she told you to call her grandmother to me, I haven't called her that in ages and she wants my team" still eating ramen. Hina and shika are listening but eating at the same time.

"Alright tell her I'll be there in a minute, I'm finishing up my ramen" i heard everyone chuckled lightly at my comment, oto-san nodded and poofed away.

My real parents died in the war so I don't have any but yamato was always like a father to me even though he's my sensei, I call him oto-san and treats me like I'm his own.

I finished up my ramen and turned to hina-chan and shika-kun. "Alright,....gomen'nasai but who's turn is it to pay again" I giggle while scratching the back of my head.

"Umm.... I think it's mine" hina-chan pulled out some money then put it down on the counter. We walked out of the shop to the streets.

"Okay now let's go before your grandma yells at us for being late" shika-kun started to transport in shadows to get to the tower, me and hinata following right after him.

Tsunade's point of view

"Tsunade-sama, all the kages have responded" shizune was looking at the letters to read off what they said.

"And.....what did they say about my decision" I look out the window on to the village.

"They've all agreed to the decision" she put the scroll down and picked up pieces of paper to work on later.

"Perfect" I turn back to my desk and sit down.

*Poof*

"Lady hokage" yamato was kneeling in front of the desk.

"Is she coming" I say leaning back in to be chair.

"Yes she is, she's finishing her ramen" I chuckled lightly at my grandchild's appetite.

"Alright, you are dismissed for now" he nodded then sank away into the floor.

"Shizune get me some sake and 4 cups, we're celebrating" I say waiting for my granddaughter to arrive.

She nods and goes to the back to get the sake and cups. Just as shizune got back sakura and her team poofed into the room.

"You called me bāchan" sakura looks at me with a serious face thinking that I might send her on a dangerous mission.

"Yes, I have an announcement, and I would like your team to hear as well" I say pouring sake into the cups.

"Umm...okay well what is it about" shikamaru picked up a cup I already served since hinata is pregnant. All of them looked very interested to what I have to say.

"I want to tell you that I am retiring as hokage" I stop pouring the sake to stand up.

"N-Nani.....what do you mean retiring...t-there's no one to replace you as hokage" she steps towards my desk.

"Well....there is...someone...." I sip the sake and look at her so she gets the hint.

Her eyes got wide and then she pointed at herself struggling to say "M-Me". Shikamaru and hinata were shocked as well.

I nodded my head as me and shizune smiled at her.

"I've discussed with the other kages that I would step down since I'm getting older. But we needed a new hokage and they all voted for you, shikamaru was another option but they thought you were the best for the spot since your my pupil, only grandchild, and new legendary sannin" I walk to the front of the desk and look at her straight in the eyes and show the paper the kages send.

She looked to the ground then turned around to hinata and shikamaru, both nodding with smiles, saying "Take it sakura it's a honor" or "You'll make a great hokage". I turned her back around to look at me again.

"Sakura, I want to name you hokage of the hidden leaf village" I looked her in the eyes with happiness. Her eyes were full of shock and excitement.

"She will make a great hokage" I thought to myself.

She looked at the ground again then to me and smiled with determination on her face.

She had her answer.

"I accept being hokage, bāchan" she hugged me and I wrapped my arms around her. Everyone cheered in the room.

"Now let's celebrate, I'm sure your parents would be proud to see you become hokage" I grab a drink and hugged her from the side.

"Cheers" everyone in the room said and drank to sakura becoming hokage except hinata.

"We will have the ceremony tomorrow, I will announce to the village today I'm stepping down and the new hokage the next day" I say and open the door to tell the news to the village.

"Now go home and rest, tomorrow is a big day" I say pushing her a little out the door. Sakura and her team nodded and went home for the ceremony tomorrow.

"Lady tsunade, I told yamato to call the whole village to the tower for the announcement" shinzue said walking next to me.

"Good, I'm sure that everyone will be happy to hear the news" I walk to the top of the tower.

"I think everyone in the village should be at the tower to hear the news" she looked down to see every person in village at the bottom. All the villagers and shinobi look up when they saw me walk to the rail.

"Everyone I'm informing you that as of today, I am stepping down as hokage. Tomorrow I will announce the new hokage for the village." I yell for everyone to hear.

Everyone was surprised at first but then cheered to hear that there were getting a new hokage.

The villagers go back to what they were doing and I went back inside to finish up the work I had to do.

"Tomorrow will be a good day" i thought finishing the papers and drinking sake.

Rewrite
So tsunade has stepped down as hokage and asked sakura to be the next hokage. Sakura accepts to be hokage and will be announced the next day to everyone in the village. What will happen next. Till next time.
