Astrid pressed the call button on her phone and waited until Hiccup answered. She had entered the third trimester of her pregnancy a month or two ago and quickly realized she couldn't do much anymore. When she thought her stomach couldn't grow larger, it did and she got surprised each time.

Finally, Hiccup picked up FaceTime after four signals. "Hello, beautiful," He said in a sweet voice. Astrid groaned and rolled her eyes. "You at the store?" She asked, moody. "Wow, thanks for the love, M'lady."

Astrid glared at him on the phone and he laughed. "Yes, I'm at the store. Let me guess, you're craving something?" Hiccup asked and looked around the store while talking to Astrid. "You're damn right I do. Ugh, I hate being pregnant," Astrid groaned out.

"Don't say that. It's a little miracle, beautiful."

"Yeah, I know. I can't move though and I'm always craving stuff and making you run to the store when you should be resting..." Astrid said softly and brushed her fingers through her hair.

"Babe, it's fine. I'm okay. My leg is healed and it's not sore or hurting. I'm fine. Now, what does my love want?" Hiccup asked and looked down at his phone.

"Hmm...can you maybe pick up a fruit bowl or something? You know, the one with pineapples and all those kinda fruits in it?" Astrid asked.

"Anything for you."

Astrid heard the keys in the door enter, turn and unlock and she slowly started to move out of the bed. Once the door was closed, she heard it lock and Hiccup taking his shoes off slowly.

Walking up to the door, she peeked out and looked at her boyfriend. She put a hand on her stomach while running another one through her hair to brush it away from her face.

Hiccup straightened himself and his eyes landed on her. A huge smile tugged its way onto his lips and he grinned at her.

"What's that face about?" Astrid asked and walked up to him. Hiccup shrugged and reached into the plastic bag to pull out the fruit bowl she'd asked about. "Oh, nothing. Just something I found at the store. Here you go, beautiful," He said and placed the bowl in her hands as he kissed her forehead.

The blonde smiled and looked at him after he pulled back. "You're the best," She said and grabbed the collar of his shirt to pull him down for a kiss.

Hiccup smiled against her lips and placed a hand on her waist, rubbing his thumb against the side of her stomach.

Pulling back, she walked over to the kitchen table and sat down on her usual place. She heard the rustle of the bag as Hiccup picked groceries out and putting them in the fridge.

"Hey, Astrid?" Hiccup suddenly asked and she hummed, mouth full of fruit. She heard his irregular footsteps that she'd grown so accustomed to and chewed the last of the fruit in her mouth.

Hiccup walked up to the table and sat down in front of her, putting a paper box in front of her. "Wanna try this later?" He asked.

Astrid looked at him and then the box and then at him again.

"Belly cast?"

"Mmhmm. For memories sake. I mean, I want to remember this time of our lives. I want to take pictures of us and you and save it because I love you more than you think and I want this..." Hiccup said and stood up. Walking up to her, he took her hand and helped her up.

Placing his hand on her stomach, he smiled and looked at her. "Remember what I said in the hospital? I want you. I've always wanted you and I'll always want you. You're perfect in your way and I love you. I want this. I want us to be together and I want us to be parents and...and I want to marry you one day. I need to, do you understand me?" Hiccup asked.

Astrid looked at his eyes for a few seconds before she leaned in and placed her forehead against his collar. She wrapped her arms around him as best as she could and sniffled. "What did I ever do to deserve you?" She asked into his chest.

"You were yourself, Astrid. I love you."

"I love you too," She said, her voice muffled from burying her face into his neck.

"Hiccup!" Astrid gasped. "Holy shit, it's so cold.." She said as she watched him put it on, strip my strip. "But the water is lukewarm."

"Lukewarm my ass, it's cold," Astrid complained. "Okay, okay, I'll put some warm water in it," Hiccup said and got up from the chair in front of her to pour some warm water into the already "lukewarm" water.

"Is this better?" He asked. Astrid dipped her finger in it and sighed. "Yep. Much better."

Hiccup hummed and dipped more sheets of plaster into the water before putting it on her stomach.

"Hey, Astrid?" Hiccup asked suddenly. "Hmm?" She hummed, watching him. "How do you wanna do this? Just your belly or...?" He trailed off. "Well, the kit shows that you have to include boobs too..."

"Sweet baby Jesus," Hiccup said. Astrid smirked and pulled off her robe all the way.

"Holy mother of god, I'm blessed," Hiccup said when he got to see her naked from the waist and up.

Astrid lifted her hand and slapped the side of his head. "Hey! Eyes on your work," She said. Hiccup pointed at her. "That is my work," He smiled.

Astrid gasped, "Watch yourself!" She said and smacked his hand that was pointing at her.

Hiccup laughed and leaned up. "You love me," He said before kissing her. She put her hand in his hair and kissed back. "You know I do."

"So," Hiccup started after pulling back. "Let's get this over with before the water goes cold again, okay?"

Astrid nodded.

"Wanna check on the cast? It's been 48 hours since we did it. It should be fully dry now," Hiccup said and got up from the couch. "Sure. Pull me up, will you?" Astrid asked and lifted her arm.

Hiccup took it and carefully pulled her up from the couch. They slowly walked to the main bathroom (the one they had been sitting in) and walked in. Hiccup turned the light on and on the counter laid the belly cast, just how they left it.

Astrid walked up to it and knocked her nail against it. It seemed hard. She used her knuckle to try. "It's dry."

Hiccup took it and lifted it, holding it up. Astrid looked into the mirror and saw a small mark on the inside of it. "Wait a second. Hold it up properly for me a second?"

"Sure. What is it?"

Astrid looked closer into the cast and saw a part of it bulging outwards. 

She started laughing. "Put it down carefully and turn it. Remember when I complained the other day about a kick. I guess she kicked before we took it off and left it bulging outwards."

Hiccup put it down and looked inside. "Oh my god!" He laughed. "Guess the little miracle imprinted on you for sure," He said and winked at her. "Hey, it's your fault."

Hiccup turned towards Astrid. She looked up at him with a small smile and put her hand on his chest.

"Thank you. For all of this. I always dreamed of having a family and kids but never in my wildest dreams would I think it would come true. Especially not with you. I thought I was too big of a nerd and an idiot for any girl to ever like me. Thank you for putting up with me," Hiccup said before leaning in to press a kiss on her cheek.

Astrid laughed. "You were a dork when you were smaller and you're a dork now. Nothing has changed except you getting older and more handsome," She said and poked him in the chests. "And don't forget, I love you," Astrid finished with a smile.

"How could I forget? You tell me every day."

"And I mean it every day."

"Good, I wouldn't have it any other way."

Hiccup shook his head. "I love you," He said before leaning in for a kiss. Before his lips touched hers, she replied with, "I love you more," and then her arms wrapped around his neck.
