Astrid hadn't been able to sleep more than a few hours. The wind and the storm had been harsh and a branch had been knocking at the house and that had woken her up.

She had been up since 3 AM, lying awake. Eventually, she had moved over and awoken Hiccup. He had wondered what had been wrong and scooted closer to her, laying his arm over her stomach and placed his head on her chest.

She had said that nothing was wrong and told him to go back to sleep. He hadn't argued with her and gone back to sleep.

The sun had already started rising at that time and the light from it softly shone through the clouds an hour after she had awoken.

Grabbing her phone, she had gone through Snapchat, checked Instagram and stayed on it when she found interesting videos of cats and cars and everything in between.

His eyes cracked open and he immediately noticed that he had stayed in the same position ever since he had been woken up in the middle of the night.

Hiccup softly lifted his head and looked at the girl he loved endlessly, noticing rather quick that she was asleep. He stayed where he was and smiled at her. She looked so beautiful. So peaceful.

He inhaled and slowly moved away, getting out of bed and covering her with the blanket to keep her warm.

He looked at her with a smile before running a hand through his hair and walking out of the room quietly, closing the door after him.

He went out to the kitchen and opened the cabinet, taking out a glass and filling it with water. Slowly drinking it, he stretched his legs before putting the glass in the sink.

He felt pressure at both his feet and looked down, seeing both Toothless and Stormfly look up at him with big eyes.

"You guys want food, don't you?" Hiccup whispered. Toothless gave out a small sound and Stormfly tilted her head at him.

"Okay, okay. Food it is," Hiccup said and took out the cat food, opening them slowly and getting their bowls.

He poured the full cup of food into Toothless' bowl and put it on the counter. He poured half a cup into Stormfly's bowl before putting the dry food away.

Grabbing the bowls, he leaned down.

"Toothless," He said as he placed down the bowl full of food in front of him. Stormfly nudged him. "Stormfly," he said, doing the same thing as he did with the gray cat.

Standing up and seeing the cats eat, he smiled at them and then walked over to his and Astrid's room.

Softly opening the door, he walked in and saw her still asleep, now laying on her side, a small smile on her lips.

He smiled at her and sat down at the edge of the bed, hesitating but placing a hand on her cheek. Her skin was soft and smooth and he ran the back of his fingers along her cheekbone.

"Mhhh," Astrid hummed and cracked her eyes open. "Good Morning, sleeping beauty," Hiccup said and leaned down, pressing his lips against the corner of her mouth before drawing back.

"Haha, very funny. I probably look like a mess," Astrid said in a low tone and turned on her stomach, checking the clock before burying her face into the pillow.

Hiccup smirked and leaned down, placing his lips at her ear.

"Yep. A hot mess."

"Oh my gods, Hiccup, it's 2 PM," Astrid said, looking at the clock.  

Of course, time flies fast when you're having fun.

"So? Nothing special is happening today anyway," He said, his hair, messier than ever.

"Eh, actually, yes. Check your phone, smart ass."

"I am smart. I'm not sure about the ass though."

Astrid leaned closer to her boyfriend. "You have a bootyful ass," She said, breaking out in laughter. "Did you just make a pun about my ass?"

"Yes."

Hiccup rolled his eyes with a laugh before checking his phone. "Oh, my gods. It the 4th Of July. How the fuck could I forget!?" He asked rather loudly.

"We gotta buy fireworks and a cake and-" She interrupted him. "Yes later. It's only 2 PM. We still have unfinished business to do," She said, scooting closer. Her voice was full of lust and a small smirk appeared on her face.

"Oh. OH. Yes," He said, placing a hand on her shoulder and pushing her into the bed to finish their business.
