Chapter 15
Astrid rolled over in bed and felt the sun burning through her eyelids. Sitting up, she noticed Toothless sleeping at the end of the bed.
She turned her head towards Hiccup and smiled. He was soundly asleep with a smile on his face. Carefully trying to slip out of bed not to wake either of them up, she heard movement and an arm wrapped around her waist. "Don't go..." She heard and looked back at him.
She smiled and laid back down, facing him. Hiccup smiled and cracked his eyes open slightly to look at her. He scooted closer and leaned in to press his lips against hers.
Astrid hummed. "I have morning breath," She complained. "I don't care," He said before he pressed his lips against hers.
Astrid closed her eyes and pulled away, scooting closer and pressing herself into his chest. It was warm. With the sun shining on them through the window and the warmth from each other's bodies, it couldn't have been more perfect.
Pawing was heard against the sheet and they felt the cover dip as Toothless came creeping up to them. Astrid scooted away slightly, letting the cat lay down between them. Toothless flopped down on his side between them and Hiccup smile, lifting his head to lean it against his hand.
The cat purred between them as Astrid petted him, running her hand from his head to his tail. She smiled, leaning over Toothless to press her lips against Hiccup's who kissed back barely a second later.
"I'll be in the kitchen. What do you want to eat?"
"I'm not too hungry right now. I'd rather go back to sleep for an hour or two if that's okay," Hiccup said and kissed her softly.
"Sure. Sleep in as long as you like. I'm gonna give Toothless food," She said before slipping out of bed and walked out to the kitchen. "Maaaan, isn't she beautiful, buddy?" Hiccup asked the cat.
Toothless looked at him, meowed and then stood up, shaking himself off before running after Astrid. "What? She's the new favorite now?"
Laughter was heard in the kitchen and Hiccup smiled before laying back down into the bed. "This is definitely a dream," He said softly.
He heard Astrid laugh out there as a bag was opened and the sound of dry pedigree being poured into a ceramic bowl.
He closed his eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep to the sound of Astrid talking to Toothless.

Astrid looked over at her boyfriend from his desk, her teeth softly biting down to the end of the pencil.
Moving, she stood up and sat down on the edge of the bed, the pencil long forgotten on the desk.
I wonder if something's wrong. I haven't seen him sleep this much since we got together. I guess he's just really tired. I guess I'll let him sleep and see if he want to do something then, Astrid thought and bit her lip.
She might wake him up but her arm moved on its own and she brushed her fingers through his bangs.
Hiccup smiled and his eyes cracked open a minute or two after. Astrid pulled back. "Sorry. Did I wake you up?" She asked.
"No..." He began softly. "I was waking up when you sat down on the edge of the bed. I guess I just like having your hand brush through my hair."
The blonde smiled and blew away her own bangs, rather irritated by their length. She leaned down and pressed her lips against his forehead before slowly getting up. "I'll be back soon."

"Ah, I see you're back. I missed you, M'Lady."
Astrid rolled her eyes and threw her loose, normal braid over her shoulder. Hiccup noticed. "Wait, did you...cut your hair?" He asked. Astrid nodded. "No, just my bangs. They were getting too long and I can't stand when they're hanging into my eyes.
Hiccup sighed with a smile and walked up to her, brushing away her bangs before placing his hands on her cheeks.
Astrid smiled and grabbed two fistfuls of his shirt when he pressed himself against her.
They stood in the middle of their living room, making out. Astrid pulled away for a second, tilting her head to the left and kissing him again. Hiccup smiled, kissing back. Her tongue pushed against his lips and he smiled, letting her in.
Pulling away from each other a minute or two later, they smiled and leaned their foreheads against each others.
"I love you," Astrid whispered and wrapped her arms around his slim waist, burying her face into his chest.
Hiccup smiled. "I love you more, babe."
"Oh, I doubt that," She chuckled into his chest.
"I'm being serious."
"So am I."
"Oh, I promise you, Astrid. One day, I will prove to you just how much I love you and I hope you'll finally believe me then."
I already do.
