Chapter 11
Hiccup's hand flew up to her cheek when their lips connected and he caressed her cheekbone with his thumb. Carefully pushing her down into a laying position, he moved and settled between her legs, his right arm beside her head, supporting his weight while his left hand ran up and down her side.
His fingers sometimes grazed her exposed skin on her hip and she shivered every time it did.
She wrapped her left arm around his neck and tugged on his hair while his tongue grazed her lips.
She let him in, kissing him back as her right hand slipped under his shirt and caressed the skin on his back in long and slow motions.
His hand grabbed her waist and he pulled her up, laying her head on the pillow.
Astrid groaned into the kiss, pulling back and pressing her lips to his jaw and neck instead. Hiccup moved his head to the side to allow her more space. She carefully sunk her teeth into his collar and a dragon-like sound escaped him his mouth.
She felt something poking her leg and she pulled back, examining his face.
His eyes were closed as if he was in pain and his mouth was agape "Hiccup?" She asked, her voice barely above a whisper. He hummed and moved, pressing his lips against her jaw. "Sorry about the...you know," She said and trailed off.
"It's fine," He said before kissing her again. "I mean, it's not every day a beautiful girl is sucking the living soul out of me," He said and raised his head, looking at her. She rolled her eyes, "Don't overexaggerate it," She said.
"I could never."
Hiccup shifted and laid down next to her, placing his head on her chest and listening to her heart. Astrid bit her lip, looking at the Auburn mess on her chest. Brushing a finger through it, she inhaled.
"I love you."

Astrid walked out of the room, a sheepish smile on her face. She had left Hiccup on the bed, being a fumbling mess after telling him how she felt.
She heard a weak, "Meow," come from one certain black cat and she looked around, searching for a black ball of fur. Her eyes settled on the said cat at the entrance to the balcony.
"There you are. Where have you been? I haven't seen you in a while," Astrid said with a smile and leaned down, running her hand over him from head to toe, - tail.
Toothless hissed at her though. "Toothless?" She asked, looking at him questionably. The grey carpet he was laying on was stained brown under his fur and she brushed it aside without touching him.
"Holy fuck," She whispered before looking towards the room Hiccup was in. "Hiccup!" She yelled his name and watched him shot up in bed. "Huh? What?" He asked and looked out the room.
"Somethings wrong with Toothless! I think he's bleeding. Come quick!" She yelled and watched him leap out of bed and run towards them.
He leaned down to take a look and looked at Astrid.
"Go to the kitchen counter and grab the phone. The Vet's number is the first one. Tell them it's an emergency and that we're coming as soon as possible." He said and watched Astrid run over to the counter, dialing the first phone number.
He watched her wait a few seconds before finally starting to talk.
He turned back towards Toothless, his eyes watering. "Don't you give up on me now, buddy. You didn't when I rescued you from the shelter so promise me you won't now either," Hiccup said, his voice weak.
Looking around, he grabbed a thin blanket from the couch and carefully picked him up. "Gods above, what did you get yourself into?" He asked as he wrapped him in the blanket.
Astrid walked over and put her hand on his shoulder, watching him stand up. "The Vet's ready to take us in," She said, her voice was shaky.
Hiccup nodded and sobbed once. "Hey, it's gonna be okay," She reassured him, flashing him a small smile. She put the phone on the table and took Toothless from him when he handed him over.
They hurried outside and got in the car, Hiccup driving faster than usual and his hands shaking on the steering wheel.
Toothless settled down in Astrid's arms and looked at her.
"Everything will be fine, Toothless."
