It's not like he would have given me if I asked nicely
The only thought in my mind was 'I need to get as far away from him as possible.' I watched him as I ate my crackers. We drove for hours and I was getting so bored . It was like watching paint dry. I took that moment to really look at him. He had pitch black hair and brown eyes. His hair was actually longer and was in a ponytail when we first met but he cut when he made me dye my hair, which I'm still fuming over. He also changed from his dark clothes to casual ones. He looked normal and not his uptight self.
I checked my hair in the rearview mirror and it my beautiful black hair was now red. Actually it looked more pink than red. Suddenly he started driving really fast causing the wind to blow hair all around my face and in my mouth.
"Whoa slow down." I put my seat belt on and passed my fingers through my hair and held it in a pony tail.
"We're being followed." He said whiles looking through the rear view mirror and speeding more.
"We're not." I denied as I looked behind for any signs of someone tailing us. I bet he was just being paranoid.
"See how that van is trying so hard to put a distance between us so not to look suspicious. I sped when i did and slowed when I did"
Did I see? No. But I didn't say anything and just shrugged. He signed and pointed the van out to me. He spoke to me like I was an idiot and I didn't appreciate that. He droved for a while then branched into a dark alley.
"Isn't branching into a dark ally while you're being followed a bad thing.?" I asked. I mean people who does that always ends up dead. Actually no normal person will ever do this. In situation like this staying about people is the best option. My parents always told me to drive to a police station whenever I see signs of being followed. Know how much I drive to the police station within a year? I've lost count. I even made friends there with the officers on the night shift. Officer Jones is my favorite though.
"We need to get rid of them.?" He simply said and then turned off the ignition.
"You're not going to kill them right?" I asked in a soft voice. "Because I hate violence and blood."
"Then don't watch." He stated and got down from the car. He walked over to the men. There was four of them. I saw them get into a conversation. I couldn't really hear what they were saying. Neither could I understand because they were speaking in korean. The other guy said something then they started fighting and Edward knocked them out in a few seconds flawlessly. He rushed back into the car and drove off without one word. I knew then that being around him was more dangerous than I initially thought and I my need to get away from him grew stronger. I didn't say a word to him and neither did he say a word to me. I turned to watch the lights pass us by an I ended up dozing off. I felt him shake me awake.
"We're here." He announced and open the door. I opened my eyes and looked around. It was an old theatre. And he really thinks this place is safe.
"We'll be safe here." He said and got down from the car. He took his bag full of weapons and he headed for the entrance. I got down and followed. We were met at the door by an old woman.
"Jae Sun!" the woman exclaimed and pulled Edward into a hug. I saw him smile at her. Wow didn't even know he could even do that.
"Hamoeni" Edward said while he hug him back. My Korean is a bit rusty, no, almost non existent but I am sure he called him grandmother. I looked around the room we were in. We were behind the row of seat. The place was huge and old. It looked like no one has been here for years. Even the curtains looked worn out. I looked back at them to see them staring back at me, as if expecting me to say something.
"She asked if you wanted something to eat." Edward said to me. I did but I wanted to get out of here more. The earlier I was alone, the faster I can get away from here.
"No, thank you." I said to the woman with a polite smile. She nodded and said something to Edward in Korean and he answered back in Korean.
"Let me show you to your room." Edward said to me and led the way to a door and opened it. It was a small room. Not harry potter under the stairs small but it wasn't that bigger.
"Bathroom is just next door." He informed me and turned to leave.
"Can I have a phone to call my parents?" I asked before he could leave.
"No service here. Besides its too risky." he simply said then left. No surprise there. Being here with him is getting suffocating. I need to find a way out of here and out of this nightmare. I parents will die if something happened to me. I went to the bathroom. Surprisingly it was very neat. I looked at myself in the mirror. My brown hair now bright pink. This guy needs lesson of how to blend in and I really need to talk to my parents and find Karrie. I splashed some water of my face and grabbed one of the towel. Just then a plan just formed in my head. This will definitely be the last time I help some randomly beat up guy. I remembered a payphone near by when we were coming here. So my big plan is to wait for everyone to sleep and then sneak out. Easy.
I waited till it was almost midnight and peeked out into the corridor to make sure it was empty. I tied my hair into a ponytail, took the hoodie Edward bought me and a backpack I convinced him to buy me and then stepped out into the corridor. I have half expected him to pop out from somewhere to bust me. He is unpredictable but he didn't some I hurried out of the theatre. I had a bit of money I took from Edward without his notice. Translating, I stole it. Its not like he would have given me if I asked nicely.
Now all I need is to find a phone to call Karrie.
