I awoke.

The air in my face was thick and humid. I was laying on a long branch, it supporting me. I groaned, unsure on where I was. The only thing I could Remember was staring into the eyes of death whilst falling into darkness. My eyes. They hurt like they've been sprayed with pepper, my muscles were aching in agony. The atmosphere was cool and humid, thick in it's might and dense in its layers. I could barely see and anything that was visible was the vibrations of heat.

I tried to lift myself up which ended in me in tumbling down the tree, inflammation taking over my wounds.

I handed with a hard and painful thump. I think I really overworked my body be issue every bone was crying out for relief. I cried slightly at my unfortunate condition. I just want to get to safety, pure unconditional safety where I wouldn't be at the mercy of these horrific surroundings. I started to face the tormenting pain and start walking, even though my brain was telling me not too.

By this time, I didn't even care if I get caught. It's better than running around, constantly looking over my shoulder and my head full of anxiety.

Please let it all be over.

I was very uncomfortable at the moment. Humidity was high and pressure was even worse. The warmth acted upon me and it made me very tired and dizzy. I coughed up blood. My chest was banging and paning, I was very nasaurous and was very close to my time, if didn't get medical attention soon. There was a hot breeze which was the last thing I needed right now, it felt like hot water had been splashed onto my face. I scrunched up my nose in discomfort, I grew weary and fuzzy inside, the colourless of the vegetation drooped down and wept like weeping willows. I felt deeply sorry for them, but I had no water and I was quickly becoming dehydrated due to the dry, moistureless air.

I panted and sweated rapidly, this forest was getting seemingly very hot but there were many clouds in the sky, although they didn't look like they were going for a downpour. I limped around, trying to get my legs to work, but they fee constantly failing me as I kept stopping to ease the pain.

Since I couldn't see the creature for the time being, I headed towards a certain flower that's at the top of a very tall tree, far far ahead. Every once in a blue moon, that flower would bloom and gleam around the brightest, unforgettable colours in the spectrum. I was very fond of that flower since i can see my cousins house from it and also I was named after it.

I continued onto the trail where I can faintly see the tree and so far everything was good, so I was slowly beginning to relax a bit, even my body started to feels little less tense. The smell of this place was detestifying. It smelt like a 1000 year old faeces of an fossilised animal. The breeze was still suffocating hot which kept blowing wildly and calmly around me. The ground was sad and bleak, it dried and cracked up as soon as I walk on it. The soil was infertile and heavily overused.

This environment was like a dead version of a tropical rainforest. I felt really sorry for it as it was in a dead state. A shame really.

Suddenly a growl came from my stomach. I have not had something to eat for a long time and the lookalike of berries that were here didn't look that edible. I sighed and kept watching as quickly as I can, enduring the pain that was still in me.

Suddenly, I heard a deep murmur. I paused my movement, looked around and there was no there. Oh well maybe it was nothing. I resumed in my walking but then I heard it again, only louder. That's when I began to panic.

The sound became louder and louder, until it felt all too close to me. I looked around but nothing and then I looked up....

My eyes became wide.

There it was, drooling, teeth gnawing and its eyes piercing through my soul.

The beast disturbing my existence, was hanging on top of a tree, smirking down at me and then getting ready to bounce. I acted quickly and pleaded for my legs to run. I kept coughing and wheezing and my arms and legs bleeding. The beast held its class sharply at me. They looked like they just been sharpened. I was numb to any fright, I didn't have any more energy for him anymore.

Without any warning, it's claws managed to find its way to my cheek and it threw me onto the ground. The wound went deep into my skin and I let out a howl. I held my face with my palm and looked straight at it. My blood was on its paw and it stuck it in its mouth. Every drop of my precious blood was licked off by its tongue and it sighed in satisfaction. I scoffed at it and picked myself up before it had another chance. Now that it knows how I taste, it would want more.

Soon enough, the miraculous flower was clear in sight. Straight ahead of me. My eyes filled with joy and I ran straight towards it, oh how I hoped for this time! I would finally get to my cousins house and be safe!

The golden flower stood proud on its roots. I gave it a little sniff and it was magical. I looked down and there it was, my cousin's little cottage down the hill and it looked like she was at home. I was overflowed with emotion. No words can describe how much relief I was feeling right now. I was finally going to be safe.

But not yet.
