Kai POV

I opened my eyes as I see I was in the chambers the Servo-Skull brought me to, it was pretty spacious, well I was the only one here. I got up and walked to bathroom, or what counts as it, and grabbed my toothbrush and cleaned my teeth, washed my face and put some clothes on. Need to go shopping soon, I only got a few shirts and pants left, don't want to be walking around naked

I stepped out of the room and almost ran into one of the Lamenters, he was big and carried a huge sniper rifle of sorts. He looked at me as we stared at one another for a bit, as this was still new to me, seeing giant men with tank like armor. Armor...that I have to study, I really wanted to test it out and find out how it worked, good thing I ain't like that psycho Mei

"Sorry didn't see you there," I said as I backed up a bit

"It is fine, I should have remembered that you were here," he said,"I am Battle Brother Kysar, 1st Company of the 1st Tactical Squad."

"Kai Ya...Just Kai sir."

"Kai, it's a pleasure to meet you, I would love to stay and talk, but I have my duties to attend to."

"Understood sir, I better find Forge Master Galen and Chapter Malakim, see what they have in store for me."

"Very well, take care Kai."

He walked off as I walked off to the bridge, I managed to study the Battle Barge lay out when I was repairing the engines. I walked on till I came upon a giant machine walking by, making me marvel at it, it was centuries ahead of what this shitty planet can do. I walked up to it as I looked it over, seeing the Servo-Skulls doing small maintenance on it

"Woah," I said as stared at it in awe

"Its a marvel isn't," Forge Master Galen said, walking up behind me

GEEZ!! How the hell do these massive walking tanks manage to sneak up on me?!

"Yes it is," I said as I looked at it,"whats it called sir?"

"A Dreadnought, and its creation is a...how you say, difficult to make and requires a tremendous sacrifice."

"As in?"

"My physical body was used to create the Dreadnought," it said making me back in surprise

"Wait you mean that...there a person in there," I asked in shock,"like a pilot?"

"In a sense yes," Galen said as he walked to a terminal,"the wearer of the Dreadnought armor is a gravely wounded Space Marine, he was offered the rare chancre to pilot the Dreadnought, it is the only thing keeping him alive."

"Indeed, I do it to carry on and serve the Emperor till my dying breathe," the Dreadnought said in its mechanized voice

"I see, I'm sorry to hear that umm, whats your name sir," I asked him

"I am Zhekim, the last remaining Dreadnought in the Lamenters chapter."

"I'm Kai sir, a pleasure to meet you."

"Same Kai, now excuse me, I need to have my repairs done."

"Yes, come with me Kai, Chapter Master Malakim wishes to speak with you," Forge Master Galen said as he walked off

I waved to Zhekim goodbye as I followed Forge Master Galen, seeing more of the Battle Barge, soaking it all in as I walked by. I was so engrossed by it, I couldn't believe something like this existed, a spaceship made in another system? A galaxy? I had so many thoughts it hurt, luckily for me we reached the bridge, which smelt like ass and dead corpses

I see Malakim with two other Lamenters working on the systems, but it seems they weren't good. I can see that they were bred for battle. We walked up as Malakim groaned as, seems they're having trouble with the systems. I knelt as I did see the the underside was hell, wires were everywhere and parts were missing, hmm if I just had the right parts

"Chapter Master Malakim, I have brought Kai as you've ordered," Galen said

"Hmm oh good," Malakim said as he stood up,"so Kai, Galen told me of your past. And I am sorry for what you had to endure at that academy, it's a disgrace, a school is suppose to teach and nurture a child."

"If only you have a power," I said shaking my head,"umm your...you're not gonna sent me back are you!?"

I got scared, no doubt they'll beat me more for escaping and they'll think I told someone about how I was treated! I got so scared my chest felt like it was about to explode, I was hyperventilating in fear that they might kill me! I was so lost I didn't feel Galen place a hand on my shoulder and shook me

"Kai Kai," he yelled at me,"be clam, be at ease, we won't send you back!"

"Y-You won't," I asked, breathing better

"No," Malakim said as he walked to the console,"a academy like that doesn't even deserve to be standing. So me and Forge Master Galen have come to an agreement, we wish for you to join us."

"J-Join?"

"Yes, I am the last remaining Tech-Marine in the Chapter," Galen said,"so if we allow you to say, eat and sleep on the same ship with us, you have to pull you weight and help us. If you wish to accept-"

"YES YES!!"

The two looked at me as I yelled at them, making me blush in embarrassment as I calmed down.

"S-Sorry sirs, got a little excited there," I said,"but yes, I would love to stay and help you all!"

"Hmm seems I owe Galen some credits, you were gonna accept the offer," Malakim said with a smile,"now then, we should plan our next move."

"Agreed," Galen said as he walked up to the consoles,"we managed to repair the engines, but they are no good to us with the consoles ruined. Seems 100 years of rotting and getting chewed by rodents doesn't help."

"Yeah, we would need to replace a lot of wiring and parts in it," I said as I was under,"hmm I know a place where I can get parts, but it'll take time getting there and gathering it all."

"You can use one of our Thunderhawks to get there," Malakim suggested

"Hmm yeah but it'll need to land far from the city, or get spotted by Heros and authorities."

"I agree, last thing we need is this worlds governments to get ahold of our technology," Galen said

"Yeah cause if I know Union, and I do, they will want this tech to make them more powerful, their ego's won't allow anyone else to have it."

"I see, reminds me of the Blood Ravens if they were a part of the Traitor Legions and took all the technology in the know Imperium," Malakim said as he rubbed his nose,"very well, I'll also send a Marine with you to protect you."

"He'll have to go out of his Armor," Galen said

"Yeah cause a nearly 10 foot walking tank will draw eyes on us," I said as I got up from the floor,"I'll grab my things."

"Good, meet Brother Kysar at the hangar bay,' Malakim said, making me nod

I ran off to my room and gathered my gear, which was mainly my backpack and phone. I ran to the hangar bay, where I see Kysar standing next to a Thunderhawk, which was yellow with their symbol on it. I smiled as I ran up to Kysar, who was wearing a huge robe covering his body, but I can see the Bolter gun on his side, man I wish I had one

"You ready Kai," he asked me

"Ready as I'll never be," I said with a grin

Kysar smiled as he took the pilot seat, and flew to the location I gave him. It was small area in the Outer Rim territories of the Raptures, some weirdo aliens that come from some dimension, but eh I didn't care unless I had some scrap to use to forge and make. I was sitting in the co-pilot seat, working one my key, cause lets say I left Union a lot to work

"Kai, mind telling me where we are heading," Kysar asked me

"A small abandoned town in the Outer Rim," I said,"during my time at that fucking school, I use holidays and even skipped to go scavenge and work on projects."

"I would lecture you on skipping school, but from what I've been told, you had a good reason to do so."

"Yeah, I always felt at peace at ease when I'm working, better then that place."

Kysar smiled as he moved the Thunderhawk close to the location, the town use to be busting back then until the Raptures came and killed everyone there. I use to come here before that, but now it's a ghost town I use to hide from Union and work on my shit. We unloaded out, with Kysar holding his Bolter out as I walked out behind him and moved to the bar

He looked at it as he followed, no doubt ordered him to go where I go. We reached inside as I found it like it has been for years, old, rusty and dusty, which I loved a lot! I walked behind the counter and looked around, hmm, must be here.

"Why are we at a liquor establishment," Kysar asked

"When I was growing up, I did a lot of renovations on this place after the Raptures killed everyone," I said,"I made a button here to open...this!"

Soon behind a stack of barrels, they went up and there it showed a massive steel door, that took months to move and install in this place. Kysar was shocked to see this, no doubt surprised to see such high tech in a run down place like this. I walked up to the door and popped the key fob I made, it transfers the code needed to unlock it, thanks to a friend who helped make it

I placed it into the slot and soon the code was transfer into the door, which soon opened. I smiled as we walked in, with Kysar bowed a bit to fit in, going down a flight of stairs and into my sanctuary, my home where I felt like I belonged. Kysar looked around and was surprised the many weapons and gear I made, as I made both armor and guns

"An impressive collection," Kysar said as I started stacking things,"seems you had a lot of time and experience. The Adeptus Mechanicus would have a field day with you and your collection."

"Yeah, lets say those holidays and skipping proved fruitful," I said as I worked,"metal forging and technology has been my life work, making things with my hands made me feel...useful and gave me purpose."

Kysar looked at me as he started helping me gathering all the gear I had, plus all the necessary tools we needed to repair the Mater Lachrymarum. I've been collecting and gathering anything with power, wires or functioned in the outskirts I've explored. Soon we had everything stacked and boxed, which was just a few, I didn't have time to make much in the last few years

...I rubbed my hands as they were still scared from...what they did.

"Kai are you ready to go," Kysar asked, holding 2 boxes

"Umm, oh yes sorry, lets go," I said as I grabbed one

Soon we move a few boxes to the Thunderhawk, which was surprisingly widely open, which means we can store all the boxes in a single trip. As I grabbed the last box, I heard gunfire outside, making me worried as I thought Raptures were attacking Kysar. I grabbed one of my prototype rifles, it was made to blast blaster bolts like the Clones weapons from Star Wars but with a bigger impact

Hey I'm a fan! Captain Rex forever!

I ran back up the stairs and came to see Ark bastards firing at Kysar, who took cover and fired back at the dick heads. I growled as no doubt they saw the Thunderhawk land and came to salvage it for their own use, Ark bastards believe they deserve all the tech in the world and will kill for it. Same as those Atlas and Union fucks, I hated them

I took cover behind one of the pillars and aimed at them, then fired and made a huge blast that devastating to them, it made a huge hole the size of a Paladin. The Ark troops were schocked to see this and looked at me

"YIPPEE-KI-YAY MOTHERFUCKERS," I yelled as I kept blasting at them

"FUCK HE'S RIPPING US APART," one Ark trooper yelled

"ITS JUST ONE KID, KILL HIM," the officer yelled

Until the top half of his bottom was ripped by a shot from Kysars bolter, DAMN!! I smiled as I wanted that rifle now more then ever, but I kept firing, soon they took much casualties and fell back, making me pant as I grabbed the box and ran to the Thunderhawk, as Kysar tossed one of the boxes inside

"Who were they," he asked me

"Ark, just a bunch of dicks who think they're the last salvation of Humanity and they treat everybody else like trash," I said as I reloaded,"they rather let millions die then let one of theirs die or take their technology."

"Hmm yeah that sounds like the Adpetus Mechanicus, now let's head off while we can before more show up."

"Got it, we got all the packages," I said as I reloaded,"right we need to move or-."

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE," a females voice yelled out

I groaned as I looked out and froze as I see probably the most...the most...BEAUTIFUL GIRLI I'VE EVER SEEN!!

Grace Moon:

"Are you the ones responsible for this," she asked us

"And what if we are women," Kysar asked, holding his Bolter

"Just checking on the loud explosions and gunfire, thats all really. But who are you big guy?"

"Classified to you, now leave, we have what we want and I rather not kill if I don't have to."

"Big words coming from you, so now answer me-."

"Hey hey hey, how about we chill and talk," I said and getting in between

"Hmm who are you," she asked me, eyeing me

Don't know if I should be embarrassed or turned on cause of her eyes, damn they were beautiful! I smiled as I held my hands up, gesturing to Kysar to lower his weapon, which he begrudgingly did so.

"I'm Kai Y-Lamenter," I said, not using that last name,"this is my big brother Kysar! He's power made him have an enormous and enhanced body, plus his emotions were suppressed so he can be a tad bit cold."

"Hmm I see," she said,"and you?"

"...I-I'm p-powerless."

"...Oh okay then, must be hard but eh why does that matter anyway?"

Kai:

3rd POV

"Umm is he okay," Grace asked waving a hand in his face

"He has been brutally been bullied and discriminated against cause he lacked this Power the world uses," Kysar said as he shook Kai

"Oh, let me guess, Union Academy?"

"Yes, he ran away from the academy two days ago, I've tried to help him as best as I can, but sadly the pain inside him is to great. May the Emperor heal and guide him."

"Emperor," Grace asked, raising an eyebrow

Kysar looked at Kai, who was still shut down by her compliment. He guess he rather share some info, but not all to protect Young Kai and ensure she isn't a threat.

"Ma'am Kai did lie to you," Kysar said

"Yeah I kinda figured that out since you two don't look alike," she said with a chuckle,"but I guessed so cause no doubt you aren't normal human?"

"Indeed, me and my brethren came here long ago, and Kai managed to find our ship and restored ships engines. After hearing what Young Kai went through, our Chapter Master offered him a place on our ship, if he can pull his weight and help us."

"Wow, kid must've interested you lot pretty well."

"He has so far, right now we must leave and get back. But with Kai like this."

"Hmm let me try something."

She walked up to Kai, smiling as she leaned to his ear and blew on it, nice and gently, then whispered

"Kai, time to go~," she said

"I'M READY," he yelled and looked at Grace, blushing madly

"Aww you're so adorable! Well I have to head out, so take care Kai, Kysar. See ya around."

She walked off, making Kysar humph as he went on the Thunderhawk, getting the engines warmed up, as Kai stood there as he watched her walk off. He couldn't help as he started at her walking off, his eyes eating her up in her skintight outfit.

Especially that ass

'...Emperor, if you are out there and if you did this,' he thought with a dreamy smile,'THANK YOU SO MUCH!'

"Kai we must be off," Kysar said,"you try and court her later."

"WHAT, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU MEAN," he yelled with a tomato red face,"WE JUST MET!"

"And yet your redder then the armor of Khrones Marine Armor, now please...little brother...get ready to leave."

"...Did you just make a joke?"

"No."

Kai sighed as he grabbed his gear and ran onto the Thunderhawk, looking to where Grace went off, making him wonder
