19. 𝘼 𝙉𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙏𝙤 𝙊𝙡𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨

I was about to sit on the driving seat when Rani Sahiba stopped me as she said, "Karan tum passenger seat par beth jao, I will drive."

"Monami koi zaroorat nahi hai, main drive krlonga...." I said even though I am a bit tired after having such a long day.

While she ignored me and went to the driving seat while I sat on the passenger seat beside her with a smile, and looking at our faces, all of us were hell tired and in dire need of sleep except Rani Sahiba who was driving like it's nothing.

Sid who was sitting behind enquired, "Monu tu nahi thaki kya?"

"Thaki hoon Sid but neend nahi aarhi." she answered back while focusing on driving while we nodded.

But then all of the sudden the realisation dawned me as I realised that she is suffering from insomnia so why would she go to sleep!?

I glanced at others who were having similar looks as mine and the sleep which was in our eyes ran away like it wasn't even there.

I took out my phone and texted on our five's group.

Rani Sahiba ke liye kuch krna hoga, usse neend nahi aayegi...

I sent them the message and they saw it within a moment as Sid replied.

You are right bro. But kya kren?

We were busy thinking when Faizi texted.

Terrace par milte hain. Hume nahi lagta ki usse aaj akela
chodna chahiye.

We replied with a thumbs up, while I was thinking how to pull off the whole thing and bring Rani Sahiba back to her older self.

2345 Hours

"Arey yaar kahaan leke ja rahe ho!? Already bohot raat hogyi hai, neend nahi aarhi kya tum paanchon ko!?" Rani Sahiba whisper yelled at us for the 5th time only to get ignored again as we dragged her to the the terrace.

She pouted and got silent while we reached the terrace and a cold breeze touched our faces, making us calm as we closed our eyes feeling the breeze.

We opened our after an eternity as she looked at us and enquired, "Ab toh btao kya hua?"

"Kuch nahi, bas kuch yaadein taaza krni hain..." five of us said in union with grins plastered on our faces while she sighed.

"Tumhe neend nahi aarhi? Abhi jeep mein aate vakt toh kitne thake huye the... Jao aur sojao!" she ordered.

And as soon the words left her mouth, she turned to leave when she stopped her tracks as Sid went and bumping onto her from side he said, "Sun na!"

"Nahi sunungi!" she answered with a pout, elbowing him back as four of us chuckled.

"Sun naaa!" Sid said making faces as he elbowed her again.

"Bol naa!" Rani Sahiba answered looking at him cutely.

"Phattuu!" he said smacking his hand on Monami's forehead lightly while Monami whined as he continued, "Agr best phattu ka award hota na toh tujhe hi milta!"

While Monami snaked her arms around his neck and said confidently, "Best phattu nahi, best cadet ka award milega mujhe! Dekhlena!"

"Acchaa.." Sid teased.

And here, me along with Sanju, Faizi and Koo bursted out laughing like anything while my Rani Sahiba and Sid joined us as Sid told us, "Parakram aane se pehle yeh meri aur Monu ki conversation thi jab main Walnut ko eski hospital se resign krne wali prep video bhejne wala tha...."

"But right now, Karan ki best cadet hoon main!" she exclaimed proudly.

Faizi laughed as he told her, "Vaise sach hai, Monami-Tsunami Karan ki best cadet hai, Koel humari best cadet hai aur Sid Sanju ka best cadet hai. Lekin sach kahen, toh jab hume yeh Parakram ke mission ke baare mein btaya gya tha tab hum teeno me saaf mana krdiya tha."

"Haan, hume laga tha ki civilians hum soldiers ki life ke saath cope up nahi kr paenge lekin...." I paused and glanced at Sanju.

As Sanju continued, "Tumo logon ne hume galat sabit krdiyo. Pehle na lago tha ki tumse jey sab hogo lekin Mission Hum Honge Kamyaab ke baad tumne hume galat sabit kro aur tab hume laga ki tumhe training toh deni hogo."

"Hey you!" Rani Sahiba said pointing towards me while I recalled our first meet.

Oh well, this is really a night to old memories.

I made a stern face and warned, "Hey, stay out!"

"Aapke kitne packs hain?" she enquired with a wink, and smacked her hand on the table.

"Aap flirt kr rahi hain?" I snapped.

"Aapko koi shak hai?" she replied with a wink while others giggled, as they recalled the moment when Rani Sahiba told Param Bhaiya about this.

Even though then the answer was different back then but just how first does the night changes.

While she glanced at Sid and said, "Sid bro pani diyo."

"Pani kyun Rani Sahiba, nimbo Pani mangwa dete hain..." I said with a smirk and I earned a glare in return making me back off.

Sanju looked at her as she said, "Ek recruit Karan Sir se bhid gyo tho, acha khasa pairon pe aao aur wheelchair par bethakar bhejno pado."

Whereas I raised my eyebrows, as Monami enquired, "Tum mujhe dara rahi ho?"

"Na-na, hum toh bta raho hain..." Sanju said with a smirk.

While Rani Sahiba smirked as she snapped back, "Aur vahi Special Agent Karan Shergill mujhse darke bhaag raha tha. Right Agent Shergill?"

Saying so she looked at me, while I was confused as I said, "Monami yeh kab..."

And that's when the realisation dawned me as she started to take her steps forward while I started taking my steps back as she said, "Toh ab bolo, kya keh rahe the tum?"

I recalled how she dominated me the same way when I was with Faizi in the dispensary and I was pinned up to the wall while everyone was laughing seeing me in this situation as I spoke up gently pushing her backwards, "Voh, tum thoda piche hato.... Aur kuch nahi!"

"Faizi vaise ek secret btaun?" Monami enquired as she scooted near Saand while he nodded his head in affirmative.

"Nariyal break hochuka hai..." she said and winked.

"Hum tumhe ek secret btayen?" Saand questioned back with a grin.

While Monami had an ear to ear grin plastered as if already knowing what he wanted to say and nodded her head as Saand told her, "Ulti Khopdi ko dance krna aagya hai."

And the duo bursted out laughing while I recalled the party incident understanding what it meant and smiled recalling it.

Saand separated himself from my Rani Sahiba as he came near me and keeping his arm on my shoulder he said with a smirk, "Vaise Janaab Ji apne sach mein Monami-Tsunami ko apne coat ke saath, apna dil bhi dediya tha."

I so wanted to glare at him but ended up smiling while others were having smirks on their faces.

"Main toh usse like krti hoon par pta nahi ki voh mujhe like krta hai ya nahi...." Rani Sahiba said and acted to bite back her tongue while Sid looked at her wide eyed.

Sid kept his hand on his mouth dramatically as he enquired teasingly, "Toh usse bta doon? Bol! Bta doon?"

"Bta de, vaise bhi ab toh puri academy ko pta hai ki main Khadoos Shergill ko like nahi love krti hoon." Rani Sahiba replied while bursting into an heartily laughter followed by Sid while we smiled smiling seeing them.

"I love you all!!!" said Koo out of nowhere as she hugged Rani Sahiba tightly while I reminisced the day when she said the same after completion of Mission Cuckoo.

"We all love you too!" replied Rani Sahiba reciprocating the hug more tightly.

While four of us were busy adoring them when Koo spoke up, still side hugging Rani Sahiba, "Guys come on! Group hug!"

We smiled as I, Rani Sahiba, Koo, Saand, Sanju and Sid hugged one another in a cue with smiles adorning our faces, as out of nowhere our three cadets started jumping in excitement, and they were joined by Saand, and then they were followed by Sanju and me, living the moment.

We were busy jumping, still being in the group forgetting everything when our heads bumped into one another as we separated whining, while Rani Sahiba, Sid and Koo were being dramatic but still we three smiled seeing them.

"Kameeni aur Chudail ho dono. Enthu cutlet banke kood rahe ho, upr se mera sar!" Sid said rubbing his forehead dramatically.

Whereas Rani Sahiba and Koo glared at him as Rani Sahiba said, "Enthu cutlet hume bula raha aur tu khud bhi toh kood raha tha!"

While Koo shrugged as she said, "Okay fine, time for pledge!"

"Perfect!" Sid and Rani Sahiba said together.

Before I, Sanju or Saand could enquire about the same, they held our hands and Sid said, "Repeat..."

"Arey lekin...." I, Sanju and Saand tried to interrupt but we were made shut after earning glares from them.

"Main Sid G kasam khata hoon..." Sid started while five of us repeated.

"Ki life ko slow motion mein experience krunga..." he continued stretching the word slow motion whereas we repeated after him chuckling.

"Enthu cutlet banke jaldi nahi machaunga..." he said and we repeated, while for the first time, I guess we three Special Agents were taking this type of different pledge but this has its own importance.

"I will fall in love with my partner all over again and tease my friends a little more." six of us synced while saying this looking at one another with utmost happiness.

"Amen!" we completed.

I glanced at the other five before Sid sat on the ground as his back rested at the wall, and he was followed by me and then Saand as we stared at the starry shining sky.

That's when I felt weight on my lap, as I looked down to find my Rani Sahiba keeping her head on my lap and I smiled as I started to caress her hairs while Sid and Saand were busy caressing Sanju and Koo's hairs, untangling the hair locks while the girl's heads rested on their laps.

We stared at the sky, enjoying the silence as I started, "10 months pure hogye hume, Parakram mein aaye. Jab Batra Sir ne hume pehle yeh mission diya tha humne kaha tha ki yeh mission nahi, humari punishment posting hai..."

"Sanju ne toh logon ko bethne na mile esliye chairs hi hata di, aur yeh Janaab Ji toh bottoms up ka plan banake bethe the, recruits ko rokne ke liye jisme Monami-Tsunami bhi fass gyi..." told Saand while I earned a glare from Rani Sahiba which I royally ignored.

And that's when Sid started, "Monu ke Parakram aane se pehle she was under confident lekin now she is the most confident person."

"Haan aur jo tu kehta hai ki teri life ka koi aim nahi hai, tujhe tera aim mil gya..." said Monami.

Koo sighed as she said, "Socha nahi tha vapis kisipe trust krungi, but you guys proved me wrong. I guess ab khud se zaada aap sab par bharosa hai..."

Saand glanced at me as he told them, "Hume yeh nahi laga tha ki yeh Ulti Khopdi kabhi apne past se aage badhenge, lekin dekho, aaj toh unhone yeh kasam khayi ki apne aaj yaani present mein jiyenge..."

Sanju chuckled as she said, "Aap bhi toh badal gao na Faizi Sirji. Aap kabhi apni bhavnao ka ache se jatao na aur pareshani bhi na btao, lekin aaj toh aap sab btate ho na hume.."

Whereas we nodded in agreement as I said looking at Sanju, "Vaise change toh tu bhi hogyi hai na Sanju? Es academy ke start mein tu sacrifice krne ke liye ready thi but Aaj tere saath ek aisa life partner hai jo tujhe kabhi koi sacrifice nahi krne dega.."

Sanju smiled as she tightened her grip on Sid's hand who smiled back at her, and caressed her hairs lovingly.

"Just how fast does the night changes." we whispered together, holding one another's hand.

While we were sitting recalling the old memories, when I looked down to find my Rani Sahiba sleeping on my lap and I smiled, on finally seeing her asleep.

I looked at others, and found that Koo and Sanju were asleep on Faizi and Sid's lap respectively, while Sid and Faizi's head were on my shoulder as they were asleep and I smiled seeing them and that's when I kept my head on Sid's head as I closed my eyes not knowing when I fell in deep peaceful slumber.
