It was half past midnight and I couldn't sleep. I think it's because of the nerves. I just feel like I'm gonna let everyone down.

Sometimes I wish I was back in New York City with Lucy and Pepper. I have to get some rest for tomorrow.

The next morning (no ones POV)

“Today the day Deejay. We've been practicing for the entire last week and I think we're ready.” Maya smiled at Deejay. “Remind me to thank Ella for the dragon armor.” Maya remind herself as she got on Deejay.

Maya wears her hair in a high ponytail with her fringe pushed back and a thin braid at the side of her head.

She wears a neon yellow tank top, black leggings with cutout designs, a purple train with flower designs, and black and purple shoes with gold heels.

She has silver shoulder armor with neon accents and a matching waist piece. She also wears a metallic cut-out bracer and matching earrings.

“Let's go win this, Deejay.” Deejay nodded as they walked out onto the field.

“Welcome one and all to the 4th day of the Dragon Games!” Bella announced as the crowd cheered.

“Today is our Agility portion or the Dragon games. Each competitor will go through our sky course. First one to grab the red flag is the winner!” Rosebella explained.

“Now to introduce our contestants.”

“Soul Wings: Maya Vigilante and Deejay.”

“Supreme Pack: Karla Blue and Silent Flame.”

“Destiny Crusaders: Frankie Granger and Cupcakes.”

“Phantom Rebels: Paris Scarlett and Nevermore.”

The competition then flew up the to starting line.

“The competitors can use any means necessary to win. With that said let's get started.” Bella explained.

“On your marks…”

“Get set…”

“GO!”

And they're off! Their first optical were cloud hoops that went from largest to biggest. Deejay and Maya went through the first cloud hoop, the biggest one. She thought it was easy until the hoops started to get to smaller.

“Uh oh.” Maya worried so did Deejay. The hoops started to get small enough that Maya was worried Deejay couldn't fit.

“Deejay I don't think we can fit!” Maya warned her, Deejay suddenly used her fire breath and shot it at the smallest cloud hoop making it expand.

“Nice work Deejay!” Maya complimented as Deejay flew faster. Maya actually thought she was safe until a dark black sphere came towards the two of them.

Luckily Deejay down down a little dodging the black sphere, but as a result Paris and Nevermore got ahead of them. Paris then turn back at them and stuck her tongue out at Maya.

“Why you…” Maya growled. “Come on Deejay. They're almost at the second obstacle.” Maya warned her as Deejay flew faster towards the second obstacle.

It were these floating tree trunks that were on fire. Deejay then swayed in and out avoiding the tree trunks. “Nice work Deejay, I can see them up head. VINE TRAP!” Maya yelled as the vines wrapped around Nevermore’s legs.

“See you later!” Maya smirked as she flew pass Nevermore and Paris and towards the 3rd obstacle. It were these cannons that shot out hot water one by one.

Deejay then flew past the first cannon but got burnt a little. “Deejay just keep flying I got an idea.” Maya informed her as Deejay kept flying. “Grass web!” Maya chanted as the webs made of grass covered the cannons stopping the water.

“Only one more left Deejay.” Maya smiled. The 4th obstacle were these spinning logs covered with spikes that went up and down.

“Exploding seed!” Maya yelled as she threw the seeds at loogs making them explode. Maya then saw the flag in sight.

Maya was about to grabbed the flag but something hit her and Deejay in the back causing them to fall the last words she heard before they both hit the ground was Paris yelling Wrath of Phantoms. Suddenly everything went black.

A couple hours later

Maya eyes started to open little by little until they were fully open to see she was in the infirmary. “Oh thank god you're awake!” Griffin rejoiced hugging her.

“Did I win the sky course?” Maya asked still sounding half asleep. “No, before you could reach the flag Paris hit you with that Wrath of Phantom spell causing you and Deejay to collapse.” Liam explained.

Maya sighed in disappointment. “Sorry I let you all down.” Maya apologized as Rekha jumped into her arms.

“It's not your fault Maya, we still can go to the final round, so there's nothing to apologize for.” Mavis explained as Maya smiled.

“Tomorrow is the strength portion. It's all up to you Charlotte, you think Jinx is up for it?” Elinor asked.

“We are, don't worry I'll get us those last 50 points.” Charlotte answered as she stared out the window. “I hope I can.” Charlotte added quietly.
