Enid's POV
I was dragging my bestie (Y/n) to every stall, but then it started to rain and it's kind of disappointing...
Although, people started to run towards a certain direction and I have no clue what it is. "(Y/n)! Let's go check it out!" I exclaimed because I can hear shouting from the distance.
"I do not particularly have any interest of such thing Enid, we better stay out of trouble as I do not like this colorful place anymo-" my bestie responded but I didn't listen and drag her with me cutting off her statement.
Well... She doesn't complain anyway.
We arrived at the scene and boy would you look at that! It's a mess! "THAT'S MITSUYA! (Y/n), we should-!"
"No"
This time she drag me by my collar and took me to a different path and there I saw another batch of gangsters.
"Oi! What the hell are you doing ganging to a bunch of injuried male and females?! How shameful of you!" I exclaimed with a frown of my face. This time (Y/n) unexpectedly took action that I never thought she would do.
"Scram, you humans sure are prideful..." I shivered at her cold tone and where the heck did she get that knife that is pointed at the enemies leader's group leader?! No matter.
"GO BESTIE!!!" I cheered but I noticed that someone sneaked up behind my back, I simply knocked him on his baby maker. "Hmph! Served you right! I will root for you to not make another lame generation because you cannot make one anymore!" I stick out my tongue as he groaned in pain, when I focused to the match again, it makes me blink as there's no one anymore except the injured mens and two girls.
(Y/n) was patching the big guy?? Or humpy dumpy wound??
(Y/n)'s POV
I sighed as I tightened the bandage around the so-called Humpy Dumpy’s wound. Draken, if I recall correctly. His face was twisted in pain, but he remained quiet—clearly used to enduring injuries.
Enid, meanwhile, was bouncing on her feet beside me, looking between me, Draken, and the unconscious bodies littering the ground. “Bestie, that was so cool! You pulled a knife out of nowhere! Where do you even keep those? Actually, don’t tell me—I love a good mystery.”
I didn’t bother responding.
Enid dramatically sighed. “I swear, you’re like a feral cat. You just do things and then expect me not to ask questions.”
“I do not expect anything,” I replied flatly, finishing up the last of the bandaging. “I simply assume people would use their brains before speaking nonsense.”
Enid gasped. “Rude!”
Draken let out a strained chuckle. “You two are something else…”
I glanced at him. “You should be grateful I even stopped to help.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Oh, I am. Don’t get me wrong, but… you don’t exactly look like the type to get involved in gang fights.”
I hummed, wiping off the blood from my gloves. “No, I do not. However, I also dislike senseless violence when it’s done in an unrefined manner. These men were pathetic. There was no strategy, no proper intimidation tactics—just a bunch of brutes trying to assert dominance like wild animals. It was painful to witness.”
Draken blinked at me before sighing. “I don’t even know how to respond to that.”
Enid grinned. “Don’t bother! Just accept that (Y/N) is, like, the most terrifying person you’ll ever meet and move on.”
Draken scoffed but winced when he shifted. “Terrifying, huh? Well, she did save my ass, so I’ll take your word for it.”
Just then, hurried footsteps approached. I turned my head just in time to see Takemichi skidding to a stop, his face pale and panicked.
“DR—DR—DRAKEN!!” he gasped out, practically tripping over himself to get closer. “ARE YOU OKAY?! WHAT HAPPENED?! WHO DID THIS TO YOU?!”
Draken blinked. “...I got stabbed.”
“I KNOW THAT!”
I stood up, dusting off my sleeves. “He will live, if that is what you’re worried about.”
Takemichi’s head snapped toward me, his eyes widening in realization. “(Y/N)—! Wait, YOU saved Draken?!”
“Was I not clear enough?” I asked, my tone dry.
Enid clapped her hands together. “She was AMAZING, Takemichi! You should’ve seen it! She pulled out a knife, threatened the leader, and bam! The whole gang scattered like roaches! It was BEAUTIFUL!”
Takemichi gaped at me. “...You scared them off? Just like that?”
I shrugged. “Fear is an excellent motivator.”
Takemichi looked between me and Draken, clearly trying to process everything. Then, suddenly, more footsteps came running toward us.
“MITSUYA!!”
I turned, watching as a Takashi ran toward Draken, worry plastered all over his face.
“Draken, you idiot! I told you to watch your back! What the hell happened?!” Mitsuya scolded, kneeling beside him.
Draken gave a tired smile. “Some idiots tried to take me out. (Y/N) handled them.”
Mitsuya blinked, turning his gaze toward me. “Wait… (Y/n)?”
I nodded.
Enid threw her arm over my shoulder with a proud grin. “Yup! My bestie, the ultimate goth nightmare, saved the day!”
Mitsuya stared at me for a moment before exhaling. “I don’t know whether to be impressed or scared.”
I smirked slightly. “Both are acceptable reactions.”
Draken chuckled. “Yeah… You’d get along great with Mikey.”
Enid gasped dramatically. “Wait! You mean THE Mikey? The legendary gang leader dude? Oh my gosh, (Y/N), you’re gonna meet another scary person! You guys can have a scary-off!”
I sighed, rubbing my temples. “Enid, please stop speaking.”
Takemichi, still reeling from the chaos, looked at me in awe. “(Y/N)… you might have just changed the outcome of everything.”
I raised an eyebrow. “Then I suggest you take advantage of the situation before something else ruins your plans, and remember what I said back then.”
Takemichi swallowed hard but nodded, determination lighting up in his eyes. “Yeah… Yeah, you’re right.”
Mitsuya stood up, helping Draken onto his feet. “We should get him patched up properly. The fight isn’t over yet.”
I watched them for a moment before turning away. “I have no interest in further involvement. My part is done.”
Enid pouted. “Aww, but bestie! This was so exciting! Are you sure you don’t want to stick around?”
I gave her a pointed look. “I do not wish to be tangled in their mess any more than necessary.”
Enid sighed but looped her arm through mine. “Fine, fine! But don’t come crying to me when you miss out on the drama!”
I scoffed. “As if.”
And with that, I walked away, leaving behind the chaos and heading back toward a much quieter, less ridiculous part of the festival.
