Seyeon's POV.

I slowly opened my eyes. "Ahhhh...." I immediately felt the pain in my abdomen and arms.

"Stay in bed! Don't move too much." I looked to the side and it was Princess Ahyoon. I bowed my head at her as a sign of respect and she nodded.

"W-wait a minute! I-I'm not dead?"

"You hardly escaped death. The physician said that your organs could have been damaged and you would have died because of that injury in your abdomen. You bled too much and fainted because of exhaustion." Ahyoon said with a concerned look. I looked at myself and saw that my wounds were bandaged neatly and once again my clothes were changed without my consent.

"But, congratulations, you killed the soldier and proved your innocence." She smiled at me.

"I-I just killed a human being."

"It's ok to kill someone in your defense. I'm so glad that you won."

"Your highness, why are you so happy? You are the one who thought I was a spy and put me into this situation." I said coldly.

"YOU-" Her court lady was about to say something but she gestured for her to stop.

"Seyeon, I'm sorry, but when I found you in the gardens, I truly believed that you weren't a threat to the kingdom even though my maids kept telling me that you could be a spy. But when you said that you're from the Shin clan, I got worried. What I did was my responsibility as the princess of the Jung clan...hope you understand." She explained.

I kept quiet so she continued to speak, "The citizens enjoyed the fight."

"Sure they did. They love to see someone dying."

"BE RESPECTFUL TO THE PRINCESS!" The court lady yelled.

"It's ok, court lady Kim." She said to the court lady and looked at me, "Actually they never saw a lady warrior. So don't misunderstand them, Seyeon. They liked you....everyone out there is praising you." She smiled at me. She is just like Aureum.

"Princess Ahyoon, you remind me of a friend of mine." I sighed.

"Aureum, right?" She asked and I nodded.

"Did she also die when your family was attacked?" She asked with an innocent face.

"Ummm...yeah." I didn't know what else to say.

"Seyeon, If you want, then we can become friends." She smiled.

"Your Highness....." The court lady objected but Ahyoon ignored her.

I mean I do need a friend here so I nodded with a smile.

She came close to me and hugged me lightly, keeping in mind my injuries.

"Thank you for finding me and bringing me to the palace." I sniffed.

"I must serve the people in need." She smiled.

"HIS MAJESTY IS HERE." I heard a girl announcing from outside the room. Soon the door opened and revealed the king. The princess got up and greeted him. I tried to get up but he said, "It's ok!"

"Good job, Seyeon. You impressed me. That's why I would like to present you the sword that you used for the fight." The king gestured to one of his attendants and he handed me the sword. "It's all yours now." He smiled. His smile was huge and bright.

"Thank you, your majesty." I somehow sat up on the bed and bowed.

"And you'll act as my sister's bodyguard, Seyeon." He gestured again and this time, the attendant presented me with a decree.

Ahhh...ok wait...what do they say?

"THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS, YOUR MAJESTY." I got out of bed. Though I was feeling pain, I knelt in front of him. I saw them doing this in the kdramas and whoever didn't do this, was beheaded. I shivered at the thought of getting beheaded.

"You can go back to bed." He revealed his heart-shaped smile again and I obeyed him.

"But orabeoni (the old version of 'oppa')? I don't need a bodyguard." Ahyoon objected.

"Look, you denied having a eunuch as your bodyguard but she is a girl. She is perfect for you. And royalties must always be accompanied by a bodyguard. We don't know when will the enemies attack, times are really bad now." The king patted her shoulder and Ahyoon sighed. After that, the king left.

"Seyeon, you should take some rest now. I'll see you later. And if you need anything, the maids are just outside the room." Ahyoon smiled and left with her court lady. Now I was all alone with my thoughts. I took the sword from my side and unsheathed it. I recalled that I saw some kind of current on the sword that killed the soldier.

"Is it a magical sword?" I wondered.

I pointed the sword at the door and jerked it but nothing happened.

"What on earth? How does it work?" I wondered while examining it.

"Ugh... never mind...I'll figure it out later." I kept the sword aside and sighed. Jeemin's memory came flashing through my mind. "Hope you're fine and doing well, Jeemin. I'll find you soon." I sighed.

Jeemin's POV

"The physician said that you fainted because of exhaustion," Kang said. "Maybe the small fight exhausted you. How are you feeling now?"

"I'm totally fine now." I smiled.

"And Jeemin, I don't know what you put on my wound, but it is healed." He said showing me his hand.

"Woah....." I was amazed and then I recalled the glow that I had observed in the bandage. Was it magic or something?

"Jeemin, I know the perfect job for you. You can work as the royal physician's assistant. He is searching for an assistant anyways....you're perfect for him." He smiled and I simply nodded in approval.

Kang guided me to the physician's room, "You go in. I'll meet you later. I've some important business with the king." He said and left.

I entered the room and saw the physician. As soon as he saw me, his first question was, "You seem to know many things about the medicines, don't you?" The physician asked and I nodded awkwardly because I didn't know what else to say.

He then revealed a cage with a bird in it, "This bird's left wing is broken. What medicines will you apply?"

I am doomed.

He handed me the cage and said, "Please treat the bird's wound like you treated minister Kang's wound."

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO????????

Seyeon's POV.

I slid my room door open and peeked out to see all the maids asleep. I took this chance and tiptoed my way out of the room. I would be lying if I said that my body was not aching as hell but I seriously needed some fresh air. I found my way to the palace gardens, avoiding the guards and maids. The garden was looking ethereal. The full moon was lighting up the garden, the scents of different flowers were mixed in the air, and the small lake was glistening in the moonlight. I sat down on the moist grass and looked up at the sky filled with beautiful stars.

"I never saw so many stars from the earth before. So beautiful. " I admired the sky. The night was peaceful, it helped to ease my mind. I was lost in the beauty of ancient nature when suddenly I heard a growl. I turned around to see a pair of glowing eyes in the dark.

"W-what is that?" I squinted my eyes to get a better view of the creature.

"OH-A-A WOLF-" I panicked.

I saw the wolf jumping at me but suddenly an arrow passed by my side and pierced the wolf's body. The wolf fell to the ground, dead.

I turned around to see a man holding a bow and looking at me with his big doe eyes. He had a little scar on his left cheek, which acted in his favour....it made him look more handsome somehow. He was tall and strong and it felt like I was getting hypnotized by his handsome face. He was wearing a white hanbok and the moonlight was enhancing his beauty. Wait, is he an angel?
