Chapter 2

Yukino was amazed at how Lucy was able to notice all of this. She means, reasonably, any one of them could of done that, but Lucy was braver than all of us. Yukino couldn't see anything in the rooms they were in because she kept her eyes shut and kept silently crying, pulling on the leather straps. Yukino doesn't want any of that anymore, and this is our their chance...

Lucy saw Yukino's pained face, because she got up from picking the lock

"Yukino, are you okay? I... Know this will be hard, leaving a place you've been in for so long... But, we have to get out of here, if we stay any longer... We'll forget who we are. And, and I don't want that to happen to the last of us, I won't stand for it." Lucy said softy. She was right.

"Thanks, I needed that. Let's get out of here." Yukino replied softly, hugging Lucy. Lucy hugged back, until Hisui asked.

"How do we get out again?" Hisui's arms were crossed. "Oh no," Yukino thought, "here comes the bickering."

"Pick the lock, save the spirits, get cloaks, think the rest later?" Lucy replied, looking at Hisui with a 'did ya even pay attention???' face. Lucy then smirked. "Or have you got another plan to get out of here, hmm?" Lucy asked, getting in Hisui's face.

"No, but I did start thinking of a plan for when we get out, unlike you." Hisui shot back, getting in Lucy's face as well. A golden-purple aura surrounded them, getting bigger and bigger.

Yukino smiled awkwardly, put her hands up, and sweat-dropped. "Girls, girls, you're both pretty, can we get out of here please?" She said, breaking them apart. Lucy huffed and walked back to the cell door to pick the lock, while Hisui sat down on a bed, mumbling under her breath.

They all stayed silent, praying that Lucy could actually pick the lock, 'till she shouted out, "Got it! I got it open! Hahaaah!"

"Finally." Hisui said, impatiently.

"Oh, I can take as much time as I want, thank you very much. Unless you want me to lock us in here again so you can pick the lock, is that what you want?" Lucy mocked, glaring at Hisui.

"We're already wasting time! We have to move!" The light blue haired girl yelled, running to the door.

"Aye!" They cheered in unison. Lucy went through first, followed by Hisui, and lastly, Yukino.

Yukino was the type of person afraid of everything, but did them anyway, with the help of the people close to her, otherwise known as Lucy and Hisui.

The Mage forgot what her parents looked like, but she was glad. They willingly gave Yukino and Sorano to this vile man, and they didn't care about us at all. Sorano was the only one who defended her, but she's not here anymore. Yukino vowed that she will avenge her one day, but needed to be stronger than Wither to do it.

The trio ran up the stairs, and through the halls, Yukino was pretty sure that they were lost, when Lucy suddenly slowed that Hisui and Yukino ran right into her.

"I thought I heard something, never mind." Lucy said. She looked up at the top corner of the hall, but she soon shook her head as she started to run again.

Neither of them heard a camera click.

"Over here, this is where he keeps the Keys." Lucy said, her hand motioning the two over. Lucy knew this place like the back of her hand, because of her previous failed attempts to get out.

The door, in the mage's opinion, screamed "IMPORTANT!!!" because it was a solid dark blue color, with a galaxy painted on, with red rimming, and a golden door knob with a white star painted on it.

"Are you serious?! He needs to have a seriously decked out door to remember where the keys are!?" Yukino said, pretty shocked.

Lucy giggled. "No, I did that. Well, told the Spirits to do that. During one of my attempts, I was able to grab Virgo and Leo's keys and told them to mark the door for the next time I escaped. Wither kept painting over it, but they kept decorating, so he gave up. He hurt me badly that day," Lucy rubbed her right hand. "but it was worth it."

Lucy opened the door, and there was 2 boxes, the left one holding a few silver keys, and the right one holding the golden keys, otherwise known as the 12 Zodiac keys, with the 13th key, Ophiuchus. Just her aura gave everyone chills.

"Okay, let's grab both boxes and get out of here!" Hisui said, grabbing the Zodiac box.

Yukino grabbed the silver key box, which was an oak box, with words engraved all around the opening. The glass was the only view of the keys, laying on a velvet pillow. The design of both boxes matched.

Yukino could see The Southern Cross key, the Clock key, the Lyre key, the Canister Minor key, the Compass key, the Bear cub key, and the Swan key.

But the question was, why would Wither keep silver keys when he owned all 12 zodiacs and the Black key?

"We don't have that much time left! We have to get the cloaks and get out of here!" Lucy yelled, grabbing Hisui and Yukino's hand and dragged them out.

Lucy led to an oak brown door, and golden doorknob. She got something sharp from a piece of broken floorboard. It was also really thin. She started picking the lock, and came through a bit faster than the one on the cell door. When the girls walked through, the girls were astonished. "I knew it." Lucy softly said.

The room was full of... Everything. And it was a mess. But there was a big desk in the center, and a matching rolling chair. Everyone began looking around.

"The cloaks are right here." Lucy said, picking them from the sideways cabinet. "Come on." The Mage said, and walked straight out.

The trio soon came to a silver door with a golden knob and a keypad to the right of it. "Lucy, do you know the code?" Hisui asked.

"Of course, just give me a sec." Lucy slung the black cloaks over her shoulder, and punched in the numbers, and a click was heard. Lucy pushed the door open. "Got it." She smirked.

They all walked outside the door, and immediately cheered. "We're out! We're out! Finally! Haha!" Hisui cheered. She stopped when Lucy threw one of the cloaks at her.

"We're not out of the woods yet. Literally." Lucy said.

"Hisui, what was that plan of yours?" Lucy faced Hisui, waiting for an answer.

"We get to the nearest city. " Hisui spoke. "Then we go rent a apartment-" Hisui got cut off by Lucy.

"My father! We can hide with him! Once we get to that city, village, anything, we can go to my father!" Lucy yelled excitedly.

"Okay, let's do it!" Yukino said. Said girl then looked at Hisui, remembering she was saying something before Lucy interrupted.

"Well, okay. My suggestion was that we get an apartment, but heading to your father's place is good as well. Let's put the cloaks on, and keep going. It's already a little past noon." Hisui put on her cloak with one hand, which reminded Yukino to do the same.

"Girls! I found a clearing over here." Lucy yelled, waving us over.

"Already? Wait, when did you-?" Yukino asked, a little confused.

"I spotted it when Hisui was talking, and just kind of wandered over. Don't yell at me, I still heard what you said." Lucy answered, looking at Hisui with an apologetic face. The clearing, not surprisingly, had trees around it, and the ground was prickled with grass and flowers.

"Well, I'll forgive you if you found a path."

"Uh, well about that."

"Are you telling me that you found a clearing with no leads on how to get out of here?!" Hisui yelled. They bumped heads again as Yukino tuned out their yelling. She decided to look around the clearing, searching for anything to help them out of here.

The light blue haired beauty crouched down in certain areas, but was met with tall grass and different kinds of flowers. She was getting restless and a bit hopeless, but kept looking.

Looking back on Hisui and Lucy, they still haven't stopped fighting. Yukino sighed, closed her eyes and shook her head. Before getting up, she gave one more look, begging to whoever could read minds, that there was a path. Please.

Yukino then spotted a patch of bent grass, and felt her heart surge. She got up and upon closer inspection, there was multiple patches! Yukino excitedly called the others over here. "I found the path! It's over here!" They ran to where she was, and they went off in the direction Yukino was facing, while also keeping an eye out for any other paths.

It took a long time, but the mages finally found a dirt path, leading to a small village-like town. "Put your hoods on, if Wither comes looking, he'll ask for appearance." Lucy said. "I'll look for a place to stay for tonight, but at we leave as soon as we wake up."

"Got it. What do we do?" Hisui asked.

"Find some clothes that we can wear, I'm getting tired of these ripped black tights and dirtied white rag shirt, and find a place where we can change our looks." Lucy replied, starting to walk away. "Oh, and meet in the center of the town a little before sunset. Oh, and take this." She threw two bags at the two, Hisui and Yukino each catching one. Hisui looked inside and gasped.

"Where did you get this? What is this?" She questioned.

"Money, so you don't have to beg or work to repay. And, stole it from one of Wither's locked cabinets." Lucy calmly replied. Lucy was out of sight after that sentence, so the two walked around in and out of shops, until they found a clothes shop. The two mages walked in, admiring everything.

"Um, do you need anything?" Asked a scared voice. Yukino turned to find a man next to them. He was about Lucy's hight with brown hair, light brown skin, blue eyes with red-rimmed glasses he pushed up, and all green clothes.

"Yes, yes we do. Uh, we need clothes that could- could- th-that could fi-fit us, could you show us?" Yukino asked timidly, not comfortable around other people that wasn't Hisui or Lucy. Especially guys, because of Wither and his helpers.

"I would, if you could take off the hoods, miss." He said.

"Oh, well. Can you keep a secret?" Hisui asked. He nodded, and took off her hood. Yukino followed her movement. "What's your name?"

"My-my names Jay. Jay Green." Jay stuttered. "I'll guide you to the woman's section, please follow me." He started walking, and they followed him. "May I ask, why did you say 'can you keep a secret?'"

"We...we are running from someone, and they are a really bad person." Hisui said.

"O-oh. I'm sorry for asking. I promise, I won't tell anyone that you were here." Jay said, smiling.

"Thank you for your help, Mr. Green." Yukino said.

"Please, just call me Jay, no need to be formal to someone you'll meet only once." Jay smiled again.

We smiled warmly, "Thank you Jay." Hisui and Yukino said in unison.

"I'll leave you to it now. And it's on the house, no need for paying." He smiled a little brighter.  He left and the girls started looking at the clothes.

Yukino couldn't stop smiling. "We finally made it out. We'll find a home, pain free, no worries of the next day, thinking he'll over do it and take my life. To finally find a place to call home." She thought happily.

"Yukino, are you okay? You're crying." Hisui asked, concern filling her voice. Shocked by her words, the smaller Mage raised her hand and touched her cheek. Tears.

"Yeah, I'm just glad we're finally out of that prison." Yukino replied. "But, what if he finds us?" I voice my thoughts to Hisui.

"I'm thinking of the future already. Wow, I'm such a dreamer, aren't I? What if he finds us and drags us back? He'll torture us to no end and no one will care." More tears ran down Yukino's face. "I don't wanna go back, I-" Hisui cut off the rambling by hugging Yukino tightly.

"It's okay, he won't find us. I promise. But if he ever does, will beat him up, and he won't bother anyone with his methods ever again. Please, let's just get the clothes and get out of here. I'm here, Lucy's here. No one will ever hurt us like that again." Hisui whispered, on the verge of tears herself. Sniffling, Yukino hugged her back, and it was just them, doing nothing but holding each other in conform from their own fears.

It felt like forever, and Yukino didn't want to let go, but when Hisui let go, she held on a bit longer, before letting go.

Admittedly, both Hisui and Yukino were really picky, but chose enough clothes to survive walking distance to the next town. They thanked Jay as we left. Okay, only Hisui did.

Filled with gratitude, Yukino gave Jay a hug. She was terrified to do it, but felt it was necessary. She surprised both Hisui and Jay, but Jay surprised Yukino too by hugging back. They held the bags in both hands, and almost walked out before Jay stopped them.

"Be safe! I never saw you." Jay winked as he waved, while the girls in hoods walked out.

Hisui looked at the sky. "Good, we still have a little more time. We spent way too much time in Jay's store. We need to find the place that'll change our looks." Hisui said, pulling our hoods over their heads.

"Wait, can't we just ask Jay? He knows more than we do." Yukino pointed out. Hisui face palmed herself.

"Of course!" She walked back into the store, dragging Yukino by the hand. "Jay! Is there anywhere that'll change our looks?"

"I'm sorry, but there isn't. There's an inn, clothes shops, a theatre, a train station, basically anything a normal town needs, but strangely, there's no hair places here." Jay shrugged his shoulders.

"Thank you anyway, we'll be on our way." Hisui said. They walked out and made way to the center of town.

"I hope Lucy was able to get us a room." Yukino said.

"I hope so too, let's wait for Lucy, it's almost time to meet up anyway."
