Many Months Later, Natsu's Pov, 

It was one more day until Lucy's birthday. One more day until we all left for the Celestail Games. We had all trained. Learned to work together and trust each other. Even thought I hated it when Lucy told the others about my birthday. I couldn't be mad at her though. I would never hurt her and never was able to be upset with her for long. The whole group even my father and Lucy were leaving tonight to get to our place for the games. Attached to the arena where the games would be held there was rooms for us.

Rooms for us to sleep and be safe. We needed to get their early before anyone else because of Lucy. Lucky for us it was aloud to get their a day early. I headed to Lucy's room as we was to leave pretty soon. I knocked on the door to not hear an answer. I opened it worried to see Lucy staring out her window in deep though, she wearing the a cloak my father got her. I closed the door before walking over. "Lucee" I called out making her jump and turn around. She had a worried look on her face. It got me a tad worried.

"What's wrong?" I asked standing pretty close to her. Lucy took a deep breath sitting at the seat next to her window. "Im scared about that note, Im scared Mard Geer will get you hurt" Lucy answered as I saw that her worrying was getting worse. I put one of my hands on her head as I put my forehead on hers. I knew this shock her as I closed my eyes. "No matter what happens I will come back to you Lucy" I then informed her as I would always be there for her. I would always be there to protect her. No matter the cost.

"You promise me that?" Lucy asked in a whisper. I opened my eyes to end up staring into her chocolate brown ones. I couldn't help but give her my toothy grin. "I promise" I then answered as she hugged me. I hugged her back, knowing she was worried. Mard Geer was going to pay for hurting Lucy. There was soon a knock at the door. "Time to go" I heard Maid Spetto nearly shout before footsteps. I then pulled away from the hug taking Lucy's hand. "Come on" I moved my head toward the door as she nodded. 

We then headed out walking to the downstairs front door. Mira was smirking at us as I looked at Lucy. I could tell she was scared of leaving the mansion. "It will be ok Lucy" I then informed her as she took a deep breath. Levy soon walked over taking Lucy's other hand. "We are all here for for you Lu" Levy gave Lucy a huge smile getting one back. Levy let go of Lucy's hand as we all headed outside to see a limo waiting for us. I knew father went an hour early to get everything set up. To get the best rooms for us. 

Father already explained to me how I was having a room with Lucy to keep her sent hidden from Mard Geer. I didn't mind. As we got into the limo the ride was quiet, all of us listening to music on the way there. Soon as we got to the arena that's when Mira spoke up. "It's time to kick ass" Mira cheered getting the rest of us to smile and agree. I didn't let go of Lucy's hand as we headed to the entrance to see my father standing there. "Let's go" he spoke as we walked off heading inside. Walking through long corridors. 

You could easy get lost here. It was huge. Bigger than our mansion. After a long walk we all went to our own rooms. Everyone was having a room with someone else other than my father who had his own. Lucy and I got to our room to only see a huge double bed there. "I can take the floor if you want Lucy" I offered as I closed the door. Lucy looked at me a tad shocked and then shook her head. "Natsu it's not like we haven't slept in the same bed before" Lucy's cheeks burned up a little as I felt my own do so.

"Don't let Mira hear that" I then mumbled getting Lucy to giggle. We saw our suitcases on the ground as we unpacked. Unpacking took us all day. After we finished Lucy and I ended up walking to the viewing balcony to see the arena. "This is weird" Lucy mumbled staring around. This was her first time out the mansion in many years. I chuckled as Lucy smiled at me. "The view will be better at the start of the games tomorrow" I then informed as Lucy then nodded. She then had her worried look on her face.

"You forgetting the promise?" I then asked hoping it wasn't Mard Geer that was worrying her again. Lucy shook her head. "What if you lose control of E.N.D?" Lucy then asked as I turned my whole body to face and and spun her to fully face me. I then lifted Lucy's head up a little so our eyes were staring into each other. "As long as I have you it will be fine" I informed her as Lucy smiled. We stayed quiet staring into each others eyes for awhile as the moon was high above us. The moonlight on us. 

I felt myself lean in but before my lips could touch hers the doors to the balcony opened making me pull away fast to see my father standing there. "You both need rest, tomorrow is an early start and the other players are here" father then looked at us both. I glared at him, really hating him for stopping me from doing something I should of done years ago. "Yes sir" Lucy whispered as me and her passed him, heading back to our room. 

I should of just kissed her....
