Author's Foreword
Hello Readers,
We all will be lying to ourselves if we say that we have never been sad. Some may also have suffered from depression, whatever the cause may be. If we have moments of joy in our life then we also do have moments of break downs. But should we let ourselves down and let the sadness consume us?
Happiness and melancholy are two ends of a see-saw and we have two aspects of our personality on both the ends... On one end, we have the optimist whose side generally stays on top; and we want it to be on top. It's the side which lifts us all the time when we are in an agonizing state and helps us fight whatever the situation it is. But at the other end, there is pessimism - whose only job is to pull us down.
The side you choose - of course, it goes to the bottom. But the power of positivity is such that even if you choose to embark on it, it pushes you up - no matter whatever the circumstance is. (Yes, this defies physics; but accept it for the sake of spiritualism. Peace)
This is the story of George Brown who is going through a similar situation in his life and he has to choose between the two ends of the see-saw.
The story celebrates the power of optimism and I hope it manages to bring a smile over your faces by the end. And even if any of you has some sadness to deal through, I hope this story helps you in discovering your source of happiness. Something, that you believe, can lift your spirit up despite whatever you have been going through.
Thank you.
