Chapter 8 - Brain Hemorrhage

*Bella's POV*

I always hated, or more likely loathed my adoptive sister. People practically fell to Cecilia's feet, not caring about me. I was always Cecilia's sister, not Bella Swan. It didn't help when she found her family who turned out to be super rich. I would always watch her come home with new Chanel or Hermes, her jewelries were real gems, not some cheap coloured glass. 

When I first moved to Forks, I thought my life there would be a nightmare. I just couldn't stand living in the same house with Cecilia. It turned out that she was moving out though, and while I  was jealous of her new fancy house, I was glad at the fact that I didn't have to see her in my house.

Then life actually gave me a gift when I met Edward Cullen. He was beautiful, kind and all the girls were envious of me dating him. Although Rosalie was a bitch others liked me, especially Alice. It was even better when I found out their secret about them being vampires. Also, I was special because apparently Edward, who could read minds, couldn't read mine. It was as if I was made for being a vampire. Edward told me that I was his mate, and to spend eternity with me, he would have to change me some day. Eternal beauty and gracefulness was something Cecilia couldn't have, and this made me gloat about it for a good while. But my happiness was crushed by Cecilia, as usual. 

When Edward told me about Cecilia and what she really was, I was beyond pissed. She was a part of the supernatural world already and she probably knew about the Cullens too. At least she could have given me a hint when I was doing a research about them.

Edward told me that she was a warlock, and from what I knew it was a hideous creature that lived in hell. When I confronted her about it at the Cullen household (why Cecilia was there I would never know), she dared to attack my Edward with some weird magic and threatened me! With her freakish eyes glowing, and the way she said that she was a royalty! I could bet everything that it was a fib.

After Edward left, when I was in a zombie-like state, I was surprised that Cecilia came and gave me an advice. It was quite appalling, since she practically told me to use Jake to get over Edward (I mean, how can I get over him and move on? He's the love of my life, my everything. Without him I'm nothing and she just expects me to throw all the good times away? What does she even know about love?),  but I had to admit it did help a bit. Jacob was a bit cute, and anyone could see that he was smitten with me. It did feel good when someone was completely adoring you. 

I didn't hear from Cecilia until Alice came back. Of course she had to be a bitch and not immediately take me to Italy. But she came with me anyway, and that would get Charlie mad at her as well.

When I stopped Edward just in time, the Volturi guards came and demanded us to follow them to meet the kings. Alice and Cecilia arrived and Cecilia had the nerve to dress up and drink a cocktail in front of all those vampires, as if that would make her more graceful. 

Aro, the black haired king, was making the blonde girl torture Edward and Cecilia didn't even do anything to help! I mean, he could've died there but no, she had to just stare at the blonde king stupidly!! Later, the other king, Marcus, informed us that she was mated to the three kings. Three! How does that even work? 

When the trial ended I managed to ask her about not helping me out as she should have, but I was rudely interrupted by a man with dark hair and eyes. From their conversation it appears as if he was a vampire as well, which was weird because his eyes were more like dark brown. I have to do some more research about that.

The man was as handsome as hell and was quite flirty, which was a charm Edward didn't have. Maybe if I find out more about whatever kind of vampire he is then maybe I could have a chance. 

This could be my back up choice if Edward refuses to change me.

They said something about Hotel Dumort so that's a start.

When we arrived back in Forks, Charlie was mad and grounded me till graduation, as if that will stop me from seeing Edward. 

We went to his place in the middle of the night after Charlie fell asleep. We asked the Cullens for a vote on me joining them or not. Rosalie said no when the others all said yes. I bet Cecilia said something to her to say no, seeing as they are best friends.

Cecilia always gets in the way one way or another, but at least she was outvoted.

Although I have to wait until after my graduation, I will become an immortal.
