Memoire 14
Nothing of note. Yeet.
Memoire 15
Vanitas's reaction to Roland calling him a victim of VotBM is rather strange. He seems to get angry about it whether people ask if he worships VotBM or pity him because of her/them. Roland annoys him in general but still:
We learn that Roland's weapon is called Durandal, which is based on a sword of the same name from the Song of Roland. There are other characters in the Song of Roland with named weapons. I'll mention the ones I'm sure of but I think there are more, idk the Song of Roland seems kind of dense so I have trouble delving too deep into it even though it helps my understanding of this series.
Oliver (who Olivier is based on) wields Hauteclaire. A man called Turpin wields the sword Almace. Charlemagne has Joyeuse, another sword. Baligant has two, Precieuse and Maltet, a sword and a spear. Ganelon has the sword Murglais. So these could be names of future Chasseurs! Gano may be Ganelon though because their names seem similar enough.
Noé is considerably powerful in some senses. Roland comments that he's never seen a vampire able to cope with the flash bomb so well before. It could be that Roland just hasn't met many powerful vampires but that seems like a stretch given he is probably the most powerful Chasseurs we've seen so far (I'm not sure how to measure him against Olivier but for now I'm assuming he's stronger.).
Why did Vanitas/Luna attack Moreau's laboratory in the first place? Why offer to take Vani with her? (I'm using her from this point on because that's what Vani uses and it's easier). Why offer him a choice at all? She clearly didn't need him for anything since she didn't take him by force but I suspect she may have needed Misha or, at least, one child. That's just speculation though.

This may never come up again as it seems like one of the less important parts of Vani's backstory (oof I feel mean saying that) but I hope it gets brought up again in more depth. I am interested in why a vampire killed his parents or if it was just a random attack.
I have overlooked this sometimes but the sheer amount of rage Vanitas lets out when he thinks Noé is being too soft against the Chasseurs is... strange. It seems personal. Like Noé's reminding him of something painful. He says 'you people' so obviously it's a gripe he has with more people than just Noé.
This next one is just something I want everyone to keep in mind. Noé is definitely our soft and loveable son but he is also capable of making faces like this:
Memoire 17
I just find Moreau's research curious. Why is anyone helping him? What agenda could be helped by creating more vampires?
TThe fact that all of Moreau's 'projects' were destroyed by Vanitas could mean that she killed all the other test subjects besides Vanitas and Misha. If that's true... yikes.
This isn't so much something to remember as me getting angry at Moreau. You can see young Vani's body language in the panels below. He doesn't look to be cooperating. He's trying to pull away from the researcher holding him (also screw anyone who worked with Moreau). Point is Moreau is a liar and a piece of trash. I can't wait to see him get curbstomped later in the series.
If Vani is no.69 (nice) and Misha is no.71 then whomst is no.70?
Vani seems to possibly be the cause of Vanitas/Luna's death. I have never and still don't know what to make of his relationship with Misha and what exactly happened between them and og Vanitas. So, have some panels that confuse me constantly.
