Likability: Is rather down to earth unless interrogated about his past. Other than that, he gets along fine with most and has an abundance of likable traits. So, he doesn't have a lot of enemies...for now.
Personality: Has a habit of rambling and having too much compassion towards certain subjects. Quick with his opinion, and doesn't fear what others may think of it. While being a rather young teacher, he tends to relate more with students. He also can be extremely defensive, and otherwise cruel when asked about his personal life.

Background: Raised in the California slums, Michael is no stranger to poverty. Was put up for adoption as a baby, and lived knowing his biological mother had a murderous heroin addiction. His adopted parents split as well, the father soon being deemed as an abuser. Suffered through a less than adequate school system and only made his current job by self education. Because, college was never an option by his soon sinking adoptive mother's standards. Yet, by excelling in personal homeschooling, he managed to find his love of music and profession. Basically, a street punk that actually rose to higher, unexpected aspirations.
