Jane Rundolf - Challenge Two

I lay awake. I couldn't sleep. The clock was ticking. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. "No I'll -" I bolted upright. The clock was still ticking. I lay down again. "Get off -" Louder this time. Could it be another murder? I slowly got up. The corridor was deserted. All I could hear was my own breath and my footsteps. Step. Breathe. Step. Breathe. Step. Breathe. Step. Breathe. "Aah!" Stop. It was from a door. I was running now, away from the corridor, towards the other rooms. "Quick! Murder! Down the West Corridor! Hurry!" Some teachers got right up. I sat on a chair, taking deep breaths. Some paused and looked sympathetically at me, others walked straight on. Another murder. Would I be next?
