Memories
She unlocks the door as we all pile in adding,
"This is my home sweet home, make yourselves comfortable and don'-"
She gasps midway in her sentence as we all stare at the person in the hallway, shellshocked.
"Hello Katniss, Annie and Miss Mason." He looks up from the chair that he's seated in.
Oh yes here we were
Annie draws in a deep breath eyes glued to the man with bronze hair. Johanna's face is coming and going between a thousand emotions, the basic ones seemed like: confusion, joy, anger, which I may add that she's always in that mood, and sadness.
I'm just confused and lost.
Yes of course he's gorgeous, those sparkling green eyes and tan with that hair, I could've mistaken him for God himself. He just smirks like an idiot though, he seems like one.
"Well, don't I at least get a welcome back hug?" He grins like the Cheshire Cat, his pearly whites blinding me. I suppose I am remembering things after all.
Anne walks up to him, her legs trembling in a feeble manner. Then she backhands him on the face.
Nobody was ever expecting Anne of all people to slap someone so hard till their head rolls to the side. Johanna just cheered and I was even more confused than ever.
"HOW DARE YOU DISAPPEAR AND COME BACK, ACTING LIKE EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT AND I HAVEN'T BEEN IN THE WARD AND YOU HAVEN'T BEEN WHISKED AWAY?" The feisty brunette-redhead yells at the man.
He flinches and then swoops Annie up in his huge arms, creating a cage as she pounds at his chest in rage, I doubt that he feels a thing.
Johanna snorts and laughs, for the first time ever. She rolls on the floor, tears streaming down from her face, leaving a salty trail of a waterfall.
I grab a chair and sit, waiting for the commotion to end and for someone to tell me why they insist on calling me a bird.
The man notices me finally and his green eyes shine with mischief as he salutes me saying,
"Well hello there Miss Everdeen, our little revolution." His deep mystic voice triggers something in my mind and a flashback occurs, when he was there with Johanna and when he came to a room to bring me something to eat.
The Capitol Darling.
Everything floods into my mind like a dam that's overflowed and is rushing into my mind, faces merely seem like blurs. People, names, places and events all mix and make one scene in my mind, District Twelve.
I feel the echo of my head fall to the ground in my scull but I'm to dead to this world to think. My head spins and there is suddenly so much greenery, brunette boy, a quiver and an arrow, a young girl, and some bread tossed at me by another boy.
The voices of the other people slowly fade away like a thump of a drum and blackness slowly leaks into my vision, lulling me to sleep.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Well bloody hell Finnick, you just killed our only chance of killing Snow."
"She's not dead, her pulse is beating."
"She looks dead to me, and she's probably gone into a coma or she had brain damage."
"You're always so pessimistic."
"I live in the pessimism."
I hear voices but chose not to move my eyelids, fearing the memories to come rushing into my scull, leaving me hopelessly confused, acknowledged and bursting with questions, I slowly slip away to a woman cussing.
I feel awake as soon as I hear a large clatter coming from somewhere, a thousand scenarios run wild through my mind, I choose to lay still, just in case.
I loose my patience after a while and come to a reasoning to open my eyes, just as I do a question flies out of my mouth by the second, like a rational thought flying free.
"Is Prim alright, safe, unharmed?" I focus on two little blurs, one brown and one gold-bronze.
The blurs become people, Johanna and Finnick. They're tucking me in quickly, roughly, jabbing my ribcage.
"Oh yes the little blond is doing marvellous, they wouldn't dare touch her." Johanna replies while hoisting me up in a hurry, while Finnick is carrying a passed out Annie.
"We don't have the time Finnick, Snow's found us." Johanna walks with deep strides to the balcony that outlooks the sea and a passing train way.
The view itself takes my breath away, they made sure that Annie got the best scenery with all the birds, nature, sea and a quaint little view of the beach.
My little fantasy ends as soon as Johanna jumps down the balcony, onto the flowerbed, crushing the Forget Me Not's.
Finnick follows suit and they're soon heading further and further away from the house. I see a Hovercraft landing in The Victor's Village. It could be Peeta or worse, Snow.
My brain shaking with all the force Johanna puts into her body, I hear Finnick yell something distant, echo-like: train.
They wouldn't dare to jump on a train which goes two hundred kilometers per hour would they?
These people are just as normal as I am so reckon they won't even hesitate.
Finnick and Johanna get into a crouching position, like lionesses ready to pounce on their prey while the train approaches rapidly.
I squeeze my eyes shut, clenching my fingers into Johanna's back, bracing myself.
The impact comes as soon as I bang my head on something hard and metal, feeling the warmth of my blood and taste of it's remorse.
"Welcome aboard to The Capitol Express, please stay in your cabin for ticket updates, thank you." A mechanic woman's voice chimes in after Johanna hits my head with her elbow, unexpectedly."
