   I woke up from my bed and started to stress. I'm going to a new school today and i'm very nervous. Especially about making new friends. When I was at my old school, I had a boyfriend called Noah Kin and I had my best friend called Lilly Baden. I miss them both so much, Well actually just Lilly. Noah broke up with me when I moved away, It broke my soul.
 
My mom came in and greeted me with a smile.

"Good morning sweetheart!" She said as she walked over to my bedside.

" Hi mom. " I smiled slightly but I think she could tell something was wrong.

"Whats wrong Ruby?"

"Nothing mom, just leave me alone I need to get ready for school." I then left the room and left my mom staring dumbfounded. I know that was rude I just wanted some alone time, and I also didnt want to get into a large conversation with my mother.

I got my backpack and packed my violin, my textbooks, some notebook paper, and of course a lollipop. Candy always makes me feel good. Its also bad that i'm coming into a new school, in the middle of second trimester.

I then said goodbye to my mum and walked down the streets of London to the bus stop. I walked into the double doors of the city bus.

"Watcha doing down here in these parts?" Said the man driving the bus.

" School. " I snapped at him.

"Feisty!" He laughed as I sat down on a chair. I ignored him and turned on my phone. I started texting Lilly about how much I didnt want to go to school.

Lilly: "Its not your fault that you had to move away.." She texted me. I stared at the phone. Secretly I thought that it was my fault. My parents had divorced and I had to move away to another town in London. I think that I was the one who separated them. They never really loved me.. Well I dont think.

Ruby:"It kinda was.."
Lilly: "Stop being ridiculous Ruby it was so not your fault. You know that."
Ruby: "Fact, I actually do not know that because it was my fault."
Lilly: "Ok change of subject. Noah told me to say hi."
Ruby: "Tell him to butt off ok? He has done enough and when I get back the first thing i'm gonna do is punch    him! Got it?"

Lilly didnt answer back to my text. I think she was just thinking of what to say but then didnt care because, she probably heard her favorite song on the radio and started dancing to it. I put my phone in my back pocket and sighed.

The bus pulled up to a school that was made of bricks. It had multiple banners on the side saying things like "Join the art club today!" or " Robots are for bobots! Join the robotics club! " It was very cheesy I must say. On the front of the high school, in metal letters, said "Honey Dew High School." It was big and magnificent.

"Ok heres your stop honey." The man said as he looked at me.

" Thanks" I glared at him and gave him a dollar then jumped off the bus. I passed through a bunch of kids, that personally were very creepy. In each school there are the groups like the nerds, or the hot guys in the corner with there shirts off lifting weights. I went to the front doors of the school and took a deep breath.

"Here we go.." I pushed open the doors and then got trampled by a bunch of kids. I screamed and fell on the floor as kids trampled me. It was like a buffalo stampede.

"You need some help down there?" Said a girl holding her hand toward me.

" Oh my gosh yes I do. " I grabbed her hand and she lifted me up.

"My name is Poppy Smith!" She smiled and held out her hand waiting for me to shake it.

" Hi Poppy my name is Ruby Manchester. " I said, slightly smiled, and shook her hand.

"Well i'm guessing you have never been to such a busy school before eh?"

" How'd ya guess? " I smiled and she started laughing.

" Cause you just got trampled by a pack of tenth graders. " She said as she picked up her things.

"Yeah I guess your right." I said as I gathered my things.

" We better get going to class. Whats your first period? " She asked as we started walking into the school.

"Science" I said blankly. I personally hate science and everything to do with it. Its so boring and annoying!

"Oh I have science to!" She explained happily.

" Mrs. Elizabeth said that we would get a new student today! " She smiled at me happily and ran off to her locker

"See you later Ruby!"

She left me to stare at the beautiful interior of the school. There were massive chandeliers hnging from the ceiling. Huge picture frames of famous people and the principal, along with the vice principal. They both had bushy beards and thin, curly mustaches.

I went to my locker where a man was standing. He had black hair.

"Excuse me I need to get to my locker." I said. He looked at me and titled his shades. He had bright blue eyes that could melt your heart. He was really cute and I almost started drueling when I saw him. I kept a straight face and walked closer to him after he didnt answer me.

"Please move so that I can get to my locker."

"Are you Ruby Manchester?" He asked smoothly

" Yes and your name is?"

"My names Scott Smith" He said and took a breath of his cigarette. I stared at him and he stared back.

"Um can you please move Scott?" I asked again. He looked at me and smiled. He came up to me closer and smiled. I melted when he smiled. Why is he so cute? I have never felt this way around Noah before.

"So Ruby you got a boyfriend?" He asked and slightly started to smirk.

"No I dont have a boyfriend i'm new to the school." I said as I started to blush. I immediately slapped myself and went back to normal.

"Yes your new, ive never seen such a cute girl around." He smiled. He pinned me against the wall with his stone hard chest. I started to melt into his arms, but then pushed him away when he was getting a little to close for comfort. He stumbled backward and casually leaned against my locker.

"Thanks for making me feel special Scott but, I got to get to my classes." I snapped at him. No boy was going to take control of me.

"Feisty, I like that." He winked at me and smirked.

" Good bye Roasty Ruby, I got to go to my class as well.. " He winked at me and slowly made his way to his class. Which sadly was science. Just like mine.

"Dont ever call me that again" I glared at him as he walked. I opened my locker and put all my stuff in it. I then saw a gum wrapper at the bottom of my locker. I picked it up and it said "455-7908 Scott. Heres my phone number Roasty Ruby, have fun with it." 

I cringed and put it in my pocket.

"Disgusting"
