Philip's P.O.V

Me and Angie were going over to the campus cafe but we were mainly there to see Theo. Angie was rambling on about the importance of memes. Basically she was saying nothing but something at the same time. 

I opened the door her and she sat down at a table. I sat down next to her. Theo was thankfully our waitress. "Hey guys! What can I get for you?" She said. She sounded very excited. "Well Theo, you sound excited." I commented with a laugh. She gave me a wide smile. 

"New year, new me!" Theo said bubbly. "Ain't that great." Angie said and me and her exchanged a look. Yeah..not once has my family written a new years resolution. Well my mom does but none of my siblings do. "Alright, can I get a croissant?" I asked. "Same here." Angie said. 

"Okay and any drinks?" Theo asked. "Coffee." Me and Angie said at the exact same. "Alright, i'll be back in a few minutes." Theo said as she skipped away.

"Like brother, like sister." I said. Angie laughed. "Well, I have learned from you just like your learned from dad." 

"Mom had tried to teach us to do the opposite of dad but she is failing miserably." I said. Angie broke out laughing. Theo came skipping back over with our croissants and coffee. "Here you are! Enjoy guys." She said. "That'll be $19.99." 

Angie smirked at me and I rolled my eyes. Reluctantly, I pulled out my credit card. Before Theo walked away she said "Oh! By the way, i'm about to get off my shift so when I do is it alright if I join y'all in your apartment?" 

"Yeah sure. I don't see Georges or Frances having a problem with it. See you later." 

"See you later!"

We walked with Theo to my place. I walked in and first thing I saw is Georges beating Frances with  pillow. Me , Angie and Theo just stood there for a couple minutes. "Uh..Hi guys." Theo said awkwardly. "Oh shit, hey." Frances said. 

"Um..what the fuck?" Angie said. "Frances once again beat me in SSBU." Georges reluctantly responded. We couldn't help but break out laughing. "So Georges, wanna go out for a little bit? Frances can join us." Angie said right after shooting a glance and smirk at me and Theo. 

Basically, Angie wanted to get me and Theo alone. The 3 of them left and me and Theo were alone in my apartment. After a couple minutes, Theo proposed we put on a movie. I agreed and she popped in my Moana DVD. 

Halfway through the movie she paused it. "What'chu do that for?" I asked. "Remember when you heard me singing the lullaby my dad would sing to me? You said your dad had one for you so let me hear it." She responds with a smirk. "Well it wouldn't kill anyone I guess." I said as I did and inhale exhale thing.

"Oh Philip, when you smile I am undone, my son. Look at my son! Pride is not the word i'm looking for, there is so much more inside me now. Oh Philip, you outshine the morning sun, my son. When you smile, I fall apart and I thought I was so smart." I began

"My father wasn't around, I swear that i'll be around for you. I'll do whatever it takes. I'll make the world safe and sound for you. You will come of age with our young nation, we'll bleed and fight for you. We'll make it right for you. If we lay a strong enough foundation we'll pass it onto you, we'll give the world to you and you'll blow us all away, someday someday. Yeah you'll blow us all away. Someday, someday." I stopped. "That's all of it." 

"Heh. Sounds a lot like my lullaby." Theo said. "Well, it is-" I said but the front door was bust open by my sister , her boyfriend and Frances. They threw themselves on the couch and Angie took out the DVD and changed the channel to FOX. Then I remember its new years. Georges grabbed some snacks while Frances got some coke for us. Then after a couple minutes, the countdown began.
