Norami's POV

I wake up on my first day as a Warrior in the Camp for the Special Gifted. I'm super excited! I jumped off of my bed, demonstrating a roll in midair in the process of all it. I landed on my feet with a light huff, my hair slightly bouncing behind me.

"Wow, excited much?" My roommate, some girl named Maxie groaned out. She was rolled to the side where I can see her posing, her head resting on her palm to prop herself up.

"Hehe yeah! I mean, not everyone gets to know that they actually have special powers am I right?" I told her, putting on my slippers and got out some fresh checkered shirt and pants, rushed into the bathroom to prepare for a great shower.

"Yeah, special powers like when to shut up!" Maxie whines out as I close the bathroom door. Ouch, rude. I said to myself. But then I shook my head, I told myself to not let that get into my brain. I got a whole day of experiencing my new powers!

Finishing my shower, I groomed myself and tied my hair to my original pointy tail and I grabbed a glance at my Warrior symbol on my forehead, everyone has a symbol on their foreheads now, it seems pretty cool!

I touched it, it's like a tattoo so I don't feel much, I traced the dragon, it's so beautifully designed. I decided to not "dilly dally" more as Minori says it, and oh! I get to see my friends soon too! It's gonna be twice as fun now!

I closed my bedroom's door quietly to avoid my roommate's complaints and rushed downstairs to go down to the cafeteria. Once downstairs, I saw Germany having coffee on a mug that says "DON'T BE UPSET, HAVE SOME SPAGETEA!" and dressed in a white fluffy bathrobe.

"What on earth are you doing here in such an early morning?" He has thick German accent, blue eyes shocked. Wait, it's actually early morning? I glanced at the clock hanging in the living room, it read: 5:30 am.

"Oh wow uh...I actually just got excited with the camp and stuff." I sheepishly said, scratching the back of my head. I don't usually wake up as early as today, I wake up on the afternoons because I stay up late in the night but today's an exception.

"Well the activities don't start after breakfast which is on 7:00 sharp." He states blankly, absently stirring his coffee. "Oh well uhm, I'm just gonna take a short jog around the place!" I insisted, for some reason I wanna go outside and taste the fresh air.

"Oh sure, just be back here in time for breakfast, we stay as a group." He commands softly and I nodded quickly. "Okay sir! Good morning and bye!" I said, rushing outside.

He muffled out something but I was already out the door and the wind slamming into my face. Gog, that's was amazing! I trotted down the short staircase and jumped on the last part, feeling like a child again.

I spread open my arms like I was an airplane and felt the wind like it's beneath my arms, like wind behind wings. After a few minutes, after telling myself that this is embarrassing, I jogged to the backyard of our cabin where the wolves are.

I was about to hug them and have some quality time but then they were sleeping, obviously been guarding all night so I left them to give them some sleepy time. I jogged quietly straight to my right, passing by cabins.

Yesterday, I discovered that Shii and Minori live close to me. Minori lives beside me in the Tech Cabin and Shii in the Sword Cabin in front of me. Besides their cabin on their sides are the Mage and Healer Cabins.

I wish I brought with me my pamphlet, it would be very useful now. I might get los—A piece of paper flew straight into my face.

Oh! It's a pamphlet.

Someone must've dropped it or forgotten it yesterday or something. I straightened the creases and skews and looked at it as I walked instead of jogging.

With the pamphlet, I was able to know where that is and where is this. I found the cafeteria, the sparring grounds, the training sectors and scavenger hunt areas. There was also the camp office where Professor X probably sleeps, beside it is the conference and meeting building.

The pamphlet states that it's a building with many rooms, it could be boring though but okay. I passed that building.

There was the camp square where campers are allowed to chill there which contains grassy hills good for picnics and bonding time. There were trees that provided shade and seats for people to sit.

I take another deep breath of the air, it was breezy in the early morning but it doesn't bother me. There were public restrooms, and a secret hot spring hidden in the willows.

In what after it seems to be an hour, I never did know what time it is but the sun is rising and a rooster is cocking out somewhere. I turned to my right to see the overlooking mountains and the sun peeking through them. It was a beautiful sight.

After a few minutes, I turned away from the marvelous sight and checked my pamphlet. I checked almost everywhere in the perimeter but apparently I didn't check that second exit.

The camp was a size of my school but only has two exits, one was where I came through yesterday but this exit seems to lead to the forest area.

I walked to it and realized that it was closed. I was about to turn away when I heard noises.

I flinched, the air seems so deadly cold, not that welcoming kind. I spun slowly to the gates and narrowed my eyes. I prepared into my battle stance which is lifting my fists and close to my chest. I try to act tough and look like a boxer because let's face it, I'm not physically taught how to do battle stances but I try myself.

The sound came from the rustling in the bushes on the other side of the gate, the wind picks up again spurting out dust and leaves. I stand my ground, shielding my eyes from the dust.

When I open my eyes again, the gate was open!

There was some willowed leaves on the side of it, it was growing onto the slab walls but now they're gone, I finally saw the "DO NOT TRESPASS" sign.

My heart stopped for a moment. This is the time I should lea—

The rustling, it's happening again.

I go back into my stance. It was shaking more and more violently now, that bush. I prepared a punch.

3...

2...

1...

Go!

The creature leaps out of the bush. I stop.

Because it's just actually a squirrel.

It blinks its adorable black eyes at me, it's nose twitches and his tiny claws rubbed on it to scratch it.

"Hey little guy..." I whispered, it was too cute. I kneeled down, hearing my running shoes crunching. I give it a kind gesture, my hand slowly extending to pet it. It just stares at it then scampers away...into the gates.

"Woah wait—!" I was about to run after it but I stop. This reminds me of an "Alice in Wonderland" scenario. You know which scenario I'm talking about here. And plus, the forest is so dark so eerie and mysterious.

My brain tells me to not go in there. But...the forest beckons me and...I hear voices.

Before I knew it, my feet were dragging me into the forest. I pushed through the vines and branches and the voices are getting louder and louder which means I'm getting close.

The morning sun hits me as the vines gave up blocking my path, I was free from the forest. I opened my eyes and stared at awe.

There was another camp here!

I was standing on a hilly top, the wind breaking into my face. Looking down I see the camp. It was dark looking, like the Fire nation in Avatar in contrast to my camp which is bright.

I watched as campers are jogging in the early morning. There were cabins but I can't see the logos. I rolled down to check the place out, but on the entrance someone stopped me.

"Halt! You are not allowed in here!"

I was shocked.

"Austria???"

It was indeed Austria in the flesh! He was shocked like me as well. "How did you my name?!" He blabbers. Then I got company, I heard a figure sliding down the hill like me. A hand touches my shoulder as I turned to the owner of the hand.

It was Dr. Smiley. He was wearing a mask of a smiley face emoticon. "I am truly sorry Mr. Austria, apparently this one forgot to read the sign..." I could feel his eyes staring down at me that is screaming "You are in deep trouble!"

Austria huffs, his riding corp pointing at me. "I will let you off the hook this time Sir Smiley but I cannot tolerate that every summer one of your imbeciles would show up here. Maybe next time, one of your campers are willing to join our camp!"

Dr. Smiley's grip on my shoulder tightens. He doesn't seem happy.

"I'm sorry Mr. Austria. Won't happen again..." He says, pushing me and telling me to climb the hill again.

I looked back, suddenly seeing something behind Austria's back. The campers stopped jogging to see us in our vulnerable state and amongst the mass of people there I see LA! Holey shiz!

She saw me and gave me a "Bleh!"

I glared at her. I would go give her the finger but I don't want to get into more trouble and the camp too.

I climbed up the hill, marching through the mass of green environment and waited for Dr. Smiley once I entered the gates again.

He comes in after a few minutes.

"What were you thinking Norami?" Oh he knows my name. "I just...sir I can explain!" I stammered. "I'll let you off the hook this time, Shizuko." He huffs, tired about something. "I'll inform Germany about this."

He takes me back to the Warrior's cabin just in time for breakfast. Once Germany was informed, he sighs, messaging his nose bridge. I feel guilty and I politely tell him that I am sorry and explained in soft whispers to avoid gossip.

"It's fine Norami. You're aren't the only one that got into this little mess." Germany says. So he lets it go, yes!

"But sir, if I may ask...What camp was that?" I asked him shyly, he stays silent for a while. He walks up to his office window, looking through it. "They are the Camp for the Vice and Dark Arts." He turns to me after saying that. "They're been our rival camp for years."

Huh, so we do have enemies.

He ushered me to join my compadres to go to breakfast. I met Paul and Josh on the way there.
