"You got to go ,now." He demanded. "Follow me."

"How can we trust you?" I stepped back.

"Look ,Alyssa right now you need to. Just follow me." he said.

I didn't know why but I followed him. We ran, going left and right.

Left.Right.Left.Right. We kept running until we reached a circular room which I assumed was the center of the maze. On the brick walls , the words 'You will Die HERE!!' were written on the walls. Guam led us through another dark hallway.

LEFT.RIGHT.LEFT.RIGHT.LEFT. My legs were tired from running but Guam insisted we keep moving .I didn't even know where we were going .I was ignored everytime I would ask where we were heading. I could feel my legs about to give up as we turned left to face another long hallway. We kept running and running .Turning left .Turning Right until we finally stopped on a hallway. On the other end of the hallway was a creature. It was a lion with the head of a scorpion and wings of an eagle.

We didn't need to be told what to be done we ran , turning left and right again.

We sat in a hallway of the maze completely exhausted. Somehow Karen vanished while we were running away from the monster.It took as many lefts and rights before the monster was out of sight.

Guam sat beside me, not saying a word. I broke the silence.

"Why did you save us?I thought you were an enemy." I focused my eyes on the ground.

"Alyssa ,I was never your enemy.It is true that the workers of the orphanage were tortured. Your dad brainwashed them to kill you and I pretended to be brainwashed so I can save you. "

"He's not my dad." I muttered. "He didn't act like one. After leaving me alone ,he thinks I will still love him.Never"

I was expecting a reply from Guam but when I looked around I saw nobody.

Great. I thought. I am in a maze with a bizarre creature and brainwashed people after me.

I stood up and ran down the dark hallways.
