The man stared at me like it had nothing better to do . A huge portion of his head was missing and he had no mouth . I recognized him , my dad. My dad who killed everyone I cared for . My dad who tried to bring me to the afterlife . My evil dad .

He laughed continously like he was insane , and I knew he was . He walked slowly towards me ,like he didn't know the saying time is gold. His hands stretched out into the air n like he was reaching for me .

"Come with me Alyssa" he laughed "I love you , I love you Alyssa ."

He picked something from his back and when I saw what it was , I knew I would soon disappear from Earth. Because on his hands was a gun.

" Alyssa join me " he aimed the gun at me. The sound of a gunshot broke the silence and at the same time woke me up .

It was just a dream . I couldn't stop thinking about the dream . It was my 4th time dreaming about my dad .I would have think about the dream for a day but I remembered about what I have to do for this day . I picked up a towel and took a bath .

Here I was , enrolling at Preston Academy , knocking on a wooden door , waiting for someone to open it . It took me fifteen loud knocks before a lady , maybe in her fifties , opened the door .

The lady wore a mini skirt which I think was unappropriate for her age . She had very white hair , which stopped at her shoulders . Her green eyes examined me from top to bottom . After a minute , she finally broke the silence .

" You're the transferee right ? " she continued to examine me , her eyes focused on my feet.  " Nice shoes "

" Thank you " I replied .

" Come in " she smiled .

I made my way inside her office and a gust of cold air welcomed me , I examined her office .  Her office was painted a bright blue . Pictures of herself hung on the wall ,  each picture frame filling every space on the wall .On the left wall , was a big shelf filled with almanacs , dictionaries , and more educational books I didn't consider reading .

She stood infront of me , her hands holding a paper .

" Fill up this form and after that , you may leave  " her eyes were glued to her phone screen. She picked it up and made her way outside .
   
I started to fill up the form , my hands holding the pen firmly . The aircondition wasn't enough to defeat the hot environment . After a minute , she came back and handed me her phone .

"Someone wants to talk to you , she says she is your mother "she took a deep breath.

I was mad at her for leaving me alone on the world but my mind forced me to.

I nodded , took the phone , and made my way outside .

    " Hello ? " I waited for a reply .

    " Hi Alyssa " the familar voice said . It was indeed my Mom . She continued to talk . " I heard about what happened to you . Was it really your Dad ? "

  
    " Yes Mom . "

    " It can't be . You see your Dad was dead before you were adopted . You see , a month before you were adopted , Guam and your not real parents , talked to us about you being adopted by them . " she continued to explain " Your Dad didn't want you to be adopted , he wanted you back . And when they refused to not adopt you , he killed Guam , and he started feeling guilt , after two days  he shot himself in the head . "
 
     " That explains the broken face . " I muttered .

     " So it really is your Dad ? " she asked sounding not so surprised , like it was just normal for a dead father to kill me .

    " Yes " I replied .

    " And he tried to kill you right ? " she asked .

  " How do you know ? " I replied .

  " His soul talks to me on my dreams . " her voice was lacking emotion . " He wanted you to join him right ? "

  " Yes . " I repeated .
 
  " And I'm glad you didn't. " she said .

  " Thanks mom " I replied . "I got to go Mom. Bye"

  " Bye " she said before ending the call .

   After I made sure my enrollment was accepted , I immediately left the academy . I rode on the taxi and told the driver where to go. 
 
   Not on my apartment but to the adopting agency .

When I reached the orphanage , I didn't expect to see a condemned building . I noticed a bystander and asked him what happened .

"Two years ago a murder happened there " the man exclaimed .

"Yes I know sir , two staffs right " I asked

The man nodded "But all of them disappeared "

"What do you mean?"

"The day after two workers died , the persons in there , started disappearing one by one with an unknown reason . Nobody knew were they were " the man pointed to the building "After that people started to believe that the place was haunted and immediately wanted the building destroyed. Months passed , they got what they want .

"Bu-" I looked around to see nobody was there . The birds chirping where the only one who accompanied me .
