Chapter 1
My brother and I were always close or we were so I thought. He and I used to be inseparable as we grew up we grew closer. It wasn't until the lies and the secrets kept piling did I realize we weren't as close as I thought we were. Maybe I should backtrack and tell you just how this story began. How calm and collected became chaos and danger. How love turned to hate and violence all together. I never wanted to believe that the stories we were told as kids were real. I just wanted them to be stories as everyone else in our world believed. Of course growing up I wanted it to be real only when I was young. Although now that it's part of you and part of this life I hate it really. But again I might be getting ahead of myself.
When we were little me and my twin brother did everything together. From staying in the same friend group to causing double the trouble. Of course even though we were twins and even though we did everything together. Caused trouble together and never separated we were polar opposites. I was the one who had the most anger towards anyone and everyone. I showed the most aggression and got into the most fights. I was sweet and kind when I knew you well enough otherwise I was closed off and angry. While Embry was always calm and collected, always sweet and kind to anyone and everyone. That's why we went so well together and got into the most trouble together.
It always complicated things for those around us, not knowing what to do with us. Our mom who's name is Tiffany and our father unknown to us but we never cared much for him anyway. If your not in our lives then what's the point in caring for you if you never cared for us. he never was mentioned and i never really minded although when younger of course I asked about him. My mom never mentioned much about him just that I might have another sibling out there. It never bothered me to look for them either because it didn't matter to me. What mattered to me was family and my friends, I protect those closest to me. I will always protect those closest to me in every way possible.
Now there was this girl when we were younger, the times I hung around jake without Embry. Her name was Isabella Swan the police chiefs daughter on the pale faces side of town. Everyone here where I'm at or the La Push Reservation where our tribe is located are all tanned nicely. I don't know why or how some people can't simply tan on our beaches it's easy. We are part of the Quileute tribe my mother always told us that way. She says we tan easily and in Forks that's where less sun is and they don't tan as easily. I honestly think there is something else behind it, but there is no telling is there. I always found the people in Forks to be weird and odd around us Quileute people.
My mom tells me not to be so judgmental, but it's part of my personality I can't help it really. People don't always understand what goes on here on the Rez nor do they tend to care. It's us Quileute's against the world right, at least that's how I see it. I can't really help the way I feel about things it's just how I think and how I act. People can't change sometimes no matter how hard they try or someone else tries to change them. Sometimes it's that people don't want change in their lives, they don't want to change and it's for the better sometimes. Now this story is about me, my twin and the people around us. So buckle up, sit tight and enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts.
