Chapter 3
Teph's Secret Room,
Vessiye Palace,
Jeruvael,
Illearia.
Teph stood with a medium sized, brown, leather bag slung across his shoulder.
He wore a black, sleeveless tunic with a hood and wore a brown belt over it. Black trousers and brown boots completed his look.
"Take this." Ascar held out a bundle of Illearian money to his friend.
"Not necessary Ascar. I already packed my savings."
"Just please take it Teph."
Teph reluctantly accepted the money.
"This orphan boy thanks you."
Ascar did not laugh.
"I have to go now." Teph finally said.
"I know. May the Creator take care of you."
"Amen. Goodbye Ascar."
"Goodbye Tephinor."
With one final nod, Teph squeezed himself out the small window and climbed down the ladder which his friend had provided.
Ascar just stood watching.

The streets of Jeruvael were neat and tidy, most of the alleyways were tiled with bricks and the motor able roads were tarred.
Teph made sure that he kept to the alleyways.
He couldn't make his escape just yet, when his father discovered he was missing, he would search all the surrounding cities for him.
If he travelled today, he wouldn't get too far before he was caught.
He needed to find work here in Jeruvael so that he could save up enough money to travel out of Illearia.
Thankfully, the people didn't know how Malij's youngest son looked like now, Teph had made his last public appearance when he was eleven years old; during Tora's burial.
Then, he had had curly, short hair and hazel eyes, and he had been about five feet and nine inches.
Now, not only was he much taller, but his black hair was now reaching his shoulders, wavy but almost straight. His eye colour was somewhere between hazel and ice gray.
He needed to find an inn to stay that was both cheap and unpopular.
Ascar had described one particular place to him.
Now, as Teph made his way there, he could only hope that it would be discreet enough for him.
