Chapter 11
MINERVA
Jeruvael,
Illearia.
He was almost exactly as I had seen him in my dream over a week ago.
However, he was five or six years younger; he wasn't as muscular now as he was in the dream. His long, silk midnight hair was the same, along with his fluorescent, grayish, hazel eyes. He had a medium complexion and an intimidating height.
He wore a black, belted tunic with the hood down, brown breeches and black boots like sandals.
"I'm really sorry about this Asaph, Wolbie broke away again." Xena spoke up.
Asaph knelt beside me to examine his dog and I tried hard not to stare, he smelt of sandalwood and musk; how could a normal, middle class boy afford to wear such expensive perfume?
At least, from his dressing, I could tell he wasn't royalty. I mentally scolded myself for jumping to conclusions just from the scent he wore.
Asaph lifted his dog easily into his arms and stood. Xena and I stood too.
"Thank you for your concern your highness, but we must be on our way now." Asaph spoke in that quiet tenor voice of his.
"What about Wolbie?" I managed.
"He'll be fine. There's no serious injury, we'll get him treated."
So many things were racing through my mind. I could not just let him leave, could I?
The fact that I had met him in person meant that the dream was a vision.
I needed to do something, but what?
Asaph eyed the guard suspiciously and then said something to his friend.
The two started to walk away.
"Stop! I'm afraid I cannot let you leave."
