Ivory
Ivory scowled. As she stared out the window during her Art of Makeup class she saw Ember walk out alone. She saw her break down and Ivory wasn't sure how to feel. She hated Ember for her own reasons, but she hated seeing people cry. Then her sympathy completely melted away.
Out came Aaron, Ivory's true love, and sat next to Ember. She watched as the two of them laughed and talk and even begin to sword fight. Was Ember making a move on her man?
"Excuse me, Ms. Crystal?" the teacher called.
Ivory's head shot up. "Yes ma'am?"
Mrs. Sugarplum smiled sweetly. "Would you like to answer what the first step of makeup routine was?"
Ivory nodded and gave her a charming smile. "Of course. That would be any type of moisturizing or skincare before the primer or anything else."

Ivory was doing incredibly well in her classes. She was by far the best and answered the most questions. She also thought she was the prettiest.
Sure, the other girls had nice hair and teeth and features, but Ivory pulled everything together better and showed it off more. Every girl knew it.
Yesterday, Ivory had her hair in a fancy braid and most girls tried to copy it. At breakfast, every girl wanted to sit with her and all the guys couldn't stop staring. Of course the one boy she wanted had wandering eyes.
As she made her way downstairs and into the court yard for tea and cakes with the other Good students, she walked right into someone.
"Excuse me!" Ivory cried but shut her mouth when she saw it was Peter. "Oh I'm sorry."
Peter shook his head. "It was all my fault, really."
"No, no. I wasn't looking where I was going," Ivory argued.
Peter smiled. "I am sorry."
"I am too," Ivory said with a smile back.
Someone pushed Ivory in the back and fell straight into Peter. Thank goodness this boy was strong otherwise they would have fallen down the stairs which was very far down.
Peter wrapped his arms around her waist to steady the two of them, and Ivory looked up into his eyes. She did not realize how blue his eyes were. There was something else in his eyes. A longing, an ambition. The two of them stared at each for a minute before Ivory shook her head. She stepped back and brushed her dress off.
"Thank you," Ivory thanked.
"Anytime," Peter responded. "If you ever need to be caught or saved, let me know. That's what Heroes are for." With that he bowed and continued walking up the stairs.
Ivory put her hand on the rail to steady herself and took deep breaths. Something about that had stirred something inside her and she hated the feeling. Ivory ran downstairs and found the other girls.
Every girl was staring at her. "Where were you?" One small girl named Jenna asked as she patted the seat next to her.
"Oh, I just got lost after reapplying my makeup," Ivory lied. She gave a little foolish giggle and every other girl joined in.
"Now, let's have some tea, shall we?" She asked, trying to change routes of the conversation. Every girl agreed and started getting their tea. Ivory turned back to the tower and saw a flash of brown hair running up the stairs.
Uh oh! What's up with Ivory? Which of the boys is more your type?
