I'm that waiter you see at the coffee shop every day. The one who sees you enough to know your usual order. My names Ace ,I've worked at the cafe for two years now. The smell of freshly ground coffee beans were always on me.

Girls hate me for some reason ,I don't know what I do but they just do I guess. I'm poor so who would want to date me?. The woman who came here for the last two years came in right on time. She wasn't that special ,just average. Her hair was wavy ,but frizzing out in different directions. Her fair complexion had a few patches of acne here and there ,and her teeth were strait although they were averagely white. Something about her drew me in. She always brought a notebook and earbuds with her. The mysterious woman would always sit in the back ,put in her earphones ,then scribble away in her note book.

"Hi I would like a double whipped hot chocolate please," she politely said while putting a stand of her hair behind her ear.

I nodded to signal her that I got it.

Like usual she scurried over to the table in the corner ,only this time she looked like she was going to burst out in tears. Ding! The cup was to hot to handle so I put in a cooling thing. Her table was only a short walk away from where I was.

"Hey are you okay?" I plopped down on the seat next to her.

She looked up at me with her red puffy eyes. "You wouldn't care anyways ,no one does" she sipped her coco gingerly.

"That's not true I care for you, tell ya what how 'bout we be friends?" The woman looked as skeptical as any one could be ,but I saw her mental resolve slip.

"Ok fine I'm Paige" Paige held her hand out for me to shake. When I did take her hand in mine it felt wonderful.

"Ace" I said smiling.

☆☆☆TWO MONTHS LATER☆☆

Tonight is our 123rd date. The same date I'm proposing to her... Valentine's Day. My hair was a little wavy but I'll deal with it, my hands are sweating like pigs. My nerves finally settled so I knocked on her door.
Her brown hair was in beautiful ringlets, cascading down her back. She smiled and interlocked our hands. My beautiful girlfriend kissed my cheek, and then smiled a cheeky smile.
Our walk to my car was wordless ,yet the silence said everything. I scurried to open her door but ended up tripping and almost falling. Her melodious laugh filled the nighttime air. Paige quickly rushed to my side. We got up together ,trying not to laugh as we got into my Chevy. Once we got to the restaurant her eyes sparkled.

"Are we at the right place?" she questioned my logic to going to the most expensive restaurant in town.

"Yes we are my love." I kissed her now shaking hand.

Paige's eyes watered, leaving me in heart break. Did she not like it?

"Please don't do this and spend a fortune on me I don't deserve any of this.." so that's what this is about.

The only reply was a kiss with passion planted on her lips, growing into a beautiful flower of our love. She wanted to protest but I would not allow it. She was worth it in every way. She was my love, my life, the very reason I wasn't a cynical bitter bloke. We helped each other believe in love and now that she's in my life I will never let her go.

"Let's go inside" my hand limply hung by hers until she firmly grabbed it and allowed me to take her in.

The waiter ushered is to our table, he knew my plan. Then again all of the staff did. After our drink orders the Italian men came to serenade us, my cue. Paige was so surprised that she didn't even realize at first that I was on one knee in front of her. She looked down on me her beautiful brown orbs filled with love, wonder, and shock.

"Paige I first fell in love with you in that coffee shop, honestly when I saw you crying I had to know what I could do to get that beautiful smile back on your face, and now since we've been dating for awhile... Paige Hannah Mana will you marry me?" she smiled tears filled her amazing eyes. She wrapped her arms around me, hugging me close.

"Yes!"
