REUNITING.
The day Joe and I decided to reunite the club, we wrote them a letter during lunch. It said to meet us at our bus seats, tomorrow morning. Then we stuck the letter into their lockers. But I had to write all five letters since Joe had Calculus homework to finish. The letter went like this:
dear blank (name of the person I wrote to),
this is cam. do you remember me? i hope you do because it hasn't been that long since we hung out. me and joe had been thinking about the club. and we thought we should join back together. you don't have to but we would truly appreciate if you did come and meet us at our bus seats to join back. we really miss you. so if you do want to come, then meet us at our bus seats tomorrow morning. =)
miss you lots, cam.
So the very next morning, we sat in our regular seats, waiting for everyone to show up. But not even one person showed up.
"It was worth a try," I said as I looked around the bus. I spotted Andy sitting alone, his satchel sitting on his lap.
"Maybe they didn't get the letter," Joe said, disappointment showing on his face.
"There is no way not even one of them got the letter."
"Maybe we should talk to them face-to-face? We are on the same bus."
"No way."
"Why not?"
"They will probably ignore us like last time."
When Joe and I became sophomores, we started to miss the club. So we decided to try to talk to them on the bus. But we gave up when they just ignored us.
I made my way to my regular seat on the bus after school, in hopes someone would still show up.
When Joe and the rest of the students on my bus showed up, the bus started to move.
Suddenly, the bus driver slams the brakes abruptly, causing the bus to jolt back and the students on the bus to fall forward.
The bus doors open and Sara climbs on. I'm surprised when she doesn't stop at her seat and keeps walking down the aisle. She stops at the seat next to me. The bus starts to move again as she sits next to me.
"Hi. I can sit here, right?"
"Of course."
