Chapter 2

Arisa wakes up in an all white room. She looks around to see nothing but different doors. As she approaches the doors, she sees different words on the doors. Different words such as birth, despair, and dread are on the doors. The doors seem to resemble pieces of her past that she has either blocked off of her mind or willfully accepted. Satan shows this through the structure of the doors. Satan made some doors of wood while he made others out of steel and obsidian. The parts of the past that Arisa permanently blocked off.

As Arisa goes through the first door, she sees her mother sobbing. This memory was just after Arino got taken away by the figures. She never knew the name of those hidden figures, but she always had hatred for them. They took away any chance of her having a normal life. They made her mother's life hell and she couldn't do anything about it. It fills Arisa with rage, but she takes a deep breath and remains completely calm. She takes a nearby dagger and swiftly kills the hooded figures. She goes to her sobbing mother and tells her everything will be okay. Before she left, her mother wanted to tell her something.

"I saw... Arino," her mother says before continuing to sob. Arisa's eyes grow wide. She couldn't believe the information that she heard. He traps her mother in hell, and she can't do anything about it. Arisa hugs her mother close and looks around for a way to access the other memories. She sees many doors. The door has a wooden accent to it, as she goes through it she sees a field. Arisa feels nauseous as she examines the scenery for a little bit of time. A farm with slaves carrying loads of ammunition to nearby soldiers. Arisa's eyes widen as she enters a memory she wanted to forget for so long.

Back in 2024, Arisa had to work for the Akumo army because of the Akumo-Oni civil war. While she was there, she was a soldier for the Akumo army. One day, she had to accompany Oni captives to a base for ammunition. As she stared at the captive, they begged for her to let them go. "Please... I didn't want to be a part of this," the captive says while crying. "No one wanted to be a part of this!" After he said that, he got whipped and trots along with a rocket in his hands. Arisa looks at the captive as his words repeat in her head. Arisa walks alongside the captives and mutters the same words. "I will never forgive Satan." Her mutters grow louder and louder until the point that she yells it. As everyone turns around to look at her, she has a breakdown. Uncontrollable crying and rage ensues. As her rage grows, her eyes turn yellow. The soldiers try to get Arisa to calm down, but to no avail. "Get away..." Arisa mutters. "I can't hear you," a soldier says. As Arisa looks up at him, her yellow eyes scare the poor soldier.

As the soldiers are distracted, an Oni army tries to ambush them, but Arisa's rage gets the better of her. She silently rises and goes on a rampage. An Oni soldier sees this rampage, and tries to tell the soldiers to retreat, but the soldiers are brain dead zombies. Little sheep following the orders of a tainted shepherd. As the soldiers approach Arisa, Arisa holds out her hand. Magical essence forms around her hand in the format of a beam. She looks the soldiers in their eyes and smiles. "This is how you assert yourself," Arisa scolds the soldiers. A beam of yellow magical energy releases from her hand. The soldiers and captives stare in awe. The Oni army got absolutely decimated in one singular shot. Arisa turns around and looks at the soldiers. "So, you guys will not stand up?" she asks in an asserting tone. Everyone stands up one by one and takes one knee. An Akumo soldier shouts, "Akumo Arisa, you shall be our new leader! No one here is fit to lead as much as you are!" Arisa looks at the soldiers and smirks. As she smirks, she passes out, one of the soldiers catches her and asks for back up. Arisa slowly loses consciousness knowing that she has suitable allies that will back her up on any front.

Back in the present and Arisa looks at the situation, she looks at her past self and gets worried. She decides to go to the area, wanting to know the truth of how she was able to use that power. As she approaches the area, the atmosphere grows sour as the Oni army has already approached the soldiers. I stopped her from going over there. "Why?" Because I have a perfect plan for her to find out about her past. I know what truly happened during that civil war, but I will not tell her just yet. She has to fight her past demons, after all. As Arisa looks at her past self with determined eyes, she knows what she has to do. And I'll help her achieve it with my tactics, because of course, I'm God!
