Part 6
As everyone walked past Mr Wonka, a large see through pipe descended upon the lake of chocolate.
"People, those pipes suck up the chocolate, and carry it away, all over the factory. Thousands of gallons an hour. Yeah!" He said enthusiastically. Mr Wonka walked up the group.
"Do you like my meadow? Please have a blade of grass, please do. It's so delectable and so darn good looking!" Mr Wonka said with a skip in his step, his excitement was greatly enjoyed by Juliet.
"You mean you can eat the grass?" Charlie asked.
"My dear child! Everything in this room is eatable! Even im eatable but that, my dear children, is called cannibalism, and is, in fact, frowned upon in most societies. yeah! Enjoy!" He said as everyone scattered around candy room.
Mr Wonka saw this as the perfect opportunity to spend more time with his dear Juliet.
He snuck up behind a tree and watched her from afar. He noticed one of his little oompa loompa taking some candy off a nearby tree, it is their job after all.
What astounded him was that, there, right next to his little friend was the girl who hasn't left his mind since he met her.
It seemed as though they were talking and Juliet was helping him pick the candy.
Mr Wonka was amazed by the girl, even though she didn't speak their language, she still found a way to motion with her hands as a way of speaking to him. What surprised him even more was the oompla loompa actually taking a liking to her, they only ever warmed up to him and even that took a while.
Willy Wonka was starting like this girl more and more.
Juliet asked the little man picking the candy where she should put it. By saying that, she basically held up the candy to him and looked around, that seemed to be enough for the little man as he showed her a brown picnic basket to place it in.
She was startled at first, never before had she seen anyone like the little man but she quickly took a liking to him when he waved and smiled to her.
She hadn't tried any candy as of yet in this wonderful wonderland and didn't mind one bit, the sight itself was more than enough for her.
A tap on the shoulder distracted her from her little friend whose smile brightened as he saw who was behind her. Upon turning around, Juliet couldn't help but join her little friend as her smile brightened as well upon seeing Mr Wonka grinning down at her as she was quite a lot shorter than him, especially with that hat on.
"Juliet" his low smooth voice said.
"Mr Wonka" Juliet politely replied with a smile.
"Please. Just Willy" he insisted as he went around her and spoke to the Oompa Loompa.
Juliet blushed at the thought of calling him by his first name, as if they were more than acquaintances. Oh how she wished.
Mr Wonka asked his little worker to go join the others and turned back to Juliet.
The poor girl was still blushing and even more so as he locked eyes with her.
"Are you alright? Have you tried any of the deliciousness in here yet?" His eyes sparkled with excitement.
"No, I haven't. I was having a great time with your worker though!" She said happily.
It warmed his heart at how selfless she was.
He turned to a nearby tree made of exquisite soft candy and picked a piece right of the branch.
Turning back to the lovely angel before him, he offered her the piece.
Wide eyed, she reached out, their hands lingered a little longer against one another's as she slowly took the piece.
Bringing the red apple like candy to her red lips, Mr Wonka gazed intensely at her as she took a bite.
"Well? Is it-" the chocolatier was cut off by a heavenly and rather sexy moan.
He laughed awkwardly at the woman. The sound had sent shivers down his spine.
"Sorry! It's absolutely divine!" She squealed in delight before looking at the half eaten candy.
She decided she would share the candy as Mr Wonka hadn't had any while with them.
Mr Wonka stared at the girls hand, she wanted him to have the rest and slowly but surely, he took the piece from her and popped it into his own mouth.
It seemed to be a rather intimate moment for him as he'd never shared candy with anyone before.
But alas, their moment of gaze locking was interrupted by a loud voice "Daddy! Look over there! Over by the waterfall! It's a little person!" Veruca Salt pointed out.
Mr Wonka winked at Juliet, causing her to blush ten times more, and moved over with the rest of the group to watch the scene unfold.
The group huddled around Mr Wonka when he appeared with Juliet on his side. Mrs Beauregarde shot a glare at the young girl which seemed to confuse Juliet an awful lot.
Feeling as though she made her point, she turned her attention to the little people.
"There's two of them" Mrs Beauregarde said with distaste.
"There's more than two" Mr Teavee stared on the other side of Mr Wonka.
More and more oompa loompa's appeared, much to Juliet's pleasure, and seemed to be doing maintenance work...on the trees?
"Where do they come from?" Mrs Gloop asked in her Russian accent, clutching her purse full of stolen candy.
"Who are they?" Charlie questioned, looking up at the smiling Mr Wonka.
"I like them" Juliet whispered from her position next to Mr Wonka, who had heard her. He grinned down at her.
"Are they real people?" Mike Teavee skeptically asked.
Mr Wonka snapped out of his silence and looked down, unimpressed with the boy "of course they're real people, they're Oompa Loompa's" he explained with admiration. Seems he had a soft spot for the little men.
"Oompa Loompa's! What a wonderful name!" Juliet spoke aloud. Everyone stared at her with judging eyes except Charlie, grandpa Joe and Mr Wonka, who simply smiled at her.
"Oompa Loompa?" Mr Teavee questioned.
"Straight from Loompaland" Mr Wonka said.
"There's no such place" Mr Teavee said, brushing off Mr Wonka as if he were a child.
"What?" Said man replied in a stern voice.
"There's no such place. Mr Wonka, I teach high school geography and I'm here to tell you that-"
"Well then you'll know all about it and what a terrible place it is" the two had a stare off and then Mr Wonka went on to explain what kind of place it was and how he found them.
Juliet had zoned out their discussion and waved to the Oompa Loompa's who in return, smiled and waved back.
"They seem to have really taken a liking to you" Mr Wonka popped up behind her.
Juliet gasped at the sudden appearance only causing another grin to escape the man and looked around for the others. It seemed they were rather busy panicking for Augustus Gloop who had fallen into the chocolate lake.
Juliet blushed and smiled at Mr Wonka before turning to the scene, worried for the boy.
Mr Wonka had specifically told the boy not to touch the chocolate but did he listen? No!
He sighed and closed his eyes as Mrs Gloop began yelling at him for letting this happen.
Upon opening his eyes, he watched the large pipe coming down into the lake again, nearby the boy.
