This update is dedicated to everyone who is born in the month of "July"
...

The next few days are fun-filled with many ceremonies for our wedding. This day is one of the ceremony which I am enjoying. Mafia style wedding is completely different.

There are two chairs present in the centre of the garden. Everyone were cheering as a few guards brought ropes.

"Boss please have your seat." Cabir bowed and Manik patted his shoulder before sitting on it.

"Princess, please have your seat." He motioned his hand towards the empty seat next to Manik.

"Let's begin the game." Alya cheered shooting her pistol in the air.

The next second Alya tied the rope accross Manik's body and captured him to the chair.

"What are you doing?" I questioned in surprise.

"Wait for your turn, Princess." Alya pulled the rope around my body and tied me to the chair.

I wiggled and the rope was too tight to escape.

"The rope is tied in a way that you can't open it yourself, only your friend can open it. Let's see who will free you." Everyone cheered waiting for the person.

Many guards came forward to free Manik but backed off as Alya's guards stood infront of us pretending to attack anyone who came forward.

Cabir rolled his eyes at his men and came forward to free Manik. Alya's guards circled Cabir but he shot a glare at them and walked further. He finally reached Manik's chair and everyone cheered as he opened the knots.

"Come on,  Cabir! You can't use your rank everywhere, not atleast in this game." Alya said pursing her lips together.

"In order to touch the Boss you have to cross me first." Cabir and Manik hugged each other.

"Now, it's the Princess turn. Who's going to save her, except Manik and Cabir." Alya added knowing very well about the two men.

They rolled their eyes at her and waited for my turn.

Nobody came for me.

"No body will rescue her. Nandini's family is dead anyway, it's a pointless game." Niyonika said aloud irritating everyone.

But it's the truth. I have no one from my territory. If the situation was otherwise, my father, his assigned friends, would be here to make me win. I should give up swallowing the bitter truth.

Manik's finger on my cheek made me realise that my tear has already left my eyes. "Stop this stupid game."

We wanted to take part in every single ceremony and to be honest we both were enjoying it. Manik wants to stop this game only because I am sad about it.

"It's alright, Manik. This a game and every game has winner and loser." I tried to smile but it was difficult. Losing in a sportive game is different from this, being insulted.

Before Manik could speak Niyonika spoke again. "Yeah. It's not like she will win anything without a family."

Alya stomped her feet. "For your kind information, it's your Angel son who brought the princess in such difficult  situation. You must feel ashamed for giving birth to that scoundrel instead of insulting her, Queen."

"Ofcourse, just blame on my Angel for everything. You all are not satisfied even after my Angel's death. Shame on you, I curse nothing good will happen in their life." She threw the flowers on Manik and me which were kept for blessing.

"Ma!" Manik yelled on her act and she immediately left the scene cursing us along the way.

"Let's stop this game and everyone please go for the buffet." Cabir announced gritting his teeth at Alya. "Why don't you check few times before arranging the ceremony?"

Before Alya could answer there was a loud voice in the room. "No one is going anywhere till we finish the game."

I frowned as the Professor came forward.

"What are you doing?" Cabir questioned him.

He smirked and faced the crowd. "Princess Nandini Murthy is my student and my responsibility. As her mentor it's my pleasure to stand by her side."

The crowd cheered and I smiled.

"Excuse me, we are here." Vibrant voices filled through the crowd as the designers came forward. "Princess Nandini Murthy is my best friend. It's my pleasure to be on my pumpkin's side."

There was another round of cheering.

"Seriously? Nandini chose me as her best friend, you all might be friends but not the best one." Alya said and stood beside me.

While they are arguing on who's my favourite Manik smirked and ordered his guards something. In a few minutes they are carrying the huge barrel towards the stage. "You all have joined her circle recently, but vegetable friends are for life."

I burst out laughing seeing Manik telling about my vegetable friends in front of everyone.

"What is that?" All of them questioned.

"It's an internal organ joke. You won't understand." Manik replied.

That's the limit, I couldn't stop my laugh and the hall filled with laughter from everyone. My internal stomach organ was hurting as I laughed and my people were finding it difficult to untie me.

Manik was right. I don't need assigned friends or family. I can make my people on my own.

"Our Princess won over the Boss." The crowd cheered as Professor announced.

"Excuse me? Boss never loses not atleast when I am here." Cabir instantly spoke in defence.

"Well then Princess never loses not atleast when I am here." Professor replied irritating Cabir.

"I untied the Boss in a few seconds but you were many people beside the Princess." Cabir tried to speak logically.

"Well, since the Boss has the highest title, let's ask him to decide the winner." Professor suggested and everyone's eyes are on Manik.

"Umm..." Manik was out of words.

"No. Boss, you are not doing it." Cabir spoke as if he knew what Manik would do.

"Pumpkin, do something to make him say your name." Kay whispered in my ear.

"What can I do?"

"Blow him a kiss." He suggested.

"How do I do it?"

He rolled his eyes and blew a kiss at me to mimic the same at Manik. I nodded and got ready.

"Well, technically, the winner is...." Manik started to announce.

"Manik." I whispered and he looked at me without continuing his speech.

I smiled and blew a kiss at him.

"Nandini?" Manik said my name out loud making everyone cheer for the winner, me.

"Seriously?" Cabir facepalmed himself unable to look at my team.

Manik rubbed his jaw and spotted Kay trying to whisper something to me once again. "You. Stop teaching her things."

"Oops!" Kay laughed and ran out of the hall and Manik chased him.

"Now, let's have the buffet." Professor announced and the crowd began to move towards the food section.

I sat on the chair and observed my surroundings. It's true, happiness depends on the people we are surrounded. I felt full knowing that I have my people on my side.

...

The day before the wedding was full chaos. All the mafia women were separated from the mafia men for this ceremony. I wore the dress designed by Kay and Jay. It was my style as it's a frock without sleeves.

"Shall we start?" A woman with tattoo sleeve questioned me. She was chewing gum and had a pointy machine in her hand.

I didn't know what's happening in this ceremony but I sat here with Alya. I nodded my head in excitement and the lady kept her machine on my arm. Just a contact with my skin and I screamed aloud in pain.

"What are you doing?" My eyes filled with tears.

"Tattooing the groom's name?" She said carelessly.

"Are you okay?" Alya questioned me with concern.

I shook my head negatively. "It's painful, Alya."

"Painful? Boss, you must have taken many stabs this is just a prick of a needle." The tattoo artist said with a chuckle.

"No. I haven't even got pricked by a needle." I said and she made her eyes round in shock.

"How's that possible?"

"I am not a Boss, I am a Princess." I gritted my teeth looking at my red skin.

"The Boss is marrying a Princess?" She is getting too shocked by everything. "Well, I don't know what to say but you have to get tattooed the groom's name. That's what happens when you marry a Boss."

"I don't want to get the tattoo. It's hurting me." I pouted. "I want to see, Manik. Alya, help me."

Before she could speak Niyonika spoke up. "It's forbidden for to meet Manik from this ceremony till your wedding."

"What? No, I can't live without seeing Manik everyday."

"Nandini, it's hardly 48 hours." Alya said.

"Exactly. 48 hours without Manik." I spoke.

"Shall we start or not?" The tattoo artist budged in and I glared at her.

"Yeah! Tattoo on the Queen's face to not make stupid rules." I yelled and Alya pulled me by my arm to sit.

"Control, girl." She said stifling her smile. She lifted her sleeve of her shirt which had Vivek's name. "See, you have to bear the pain if you are marrying The Boss."

"It's painful, Alya. Nobody is getting my point." I cried.

Alya hugged me tight and covered my eyes with her palm so that I wouldn't see the artist poking my skin with her machine. I couldn't help but cry out as much as possible.

"Stop. There's an order from The Boss." Someone announced from the outside of the curtain. It could be Cabir, Professor or the designers, I don't know as I am busy crying. "Use this for the Princess in this ceremony."

He handed the artist something and left. The artist came back and once again began to put another pointy thing on my forearm. I shut my eyes tight and buried my face into Alya's shoulder to cope with the pain.

Surprisingly, I felt no pain. At all, infact it was soothing my previous pain.

I opened my eyes and the artist writing Manik's name on my hand but without pain. "How are you doing it?"

"Doing what?"

"Writing the name without hurting me."

"It's a temporary tattoo. You need not use any needles." She said.

Manik ordered her to use the temporary tattoo so that I wouldn't feel the pain. Only he can understand my feelings.

Awe! My Manik.

"Permanent tattoo signifies a permanent relationship. You are getting a temporary tattoo and I bet your relationship will also stay like that. Not long lasting." Niyonika once again spoke out trying to hurt me.

"Well, you got a permanent tattoo didn't you? Then why don't you go above the clouds and join your husband for the part time star costume job?" I back answered her.

She went crazy with the choice of my words and began cursing me and my marital life with Manik.

Alya yanked my arm to face her. "Stop answering her, Nandini. You have to let somethings go and ignore."

"I can't help. She is always irritating me, Alya." I said with a pout.

"I know but you must control yourself. This is the best moment in your life and you must get only blessings and postive vibes. She has been cursing enough already so try your best to stay away from her." Alya suggested.

I sighed. "Okay, I will try my best."

Just one more day to go.
